A very peculiar trait.
Hard to describe, hard to judge—but Ren knew one thing for certain: a peaceful life would never be in the cards for him.
Maybe even meeting Zoro this time was a result of that very trait.
No matter how strange it was, Ren could only accept it fully.
He optimistically thought that the change in his Luck parameter might serve as a kind of warning system—if his luck dropped, it meant danger was near.
Though it was only a reference at best, since the drop only happened after he was already in trouble.
Either way, as long as his Luck returned to normal, it meant he didn't need to hold back anymore.
He figured he wasn't that unlucky… right?
"Too bad I didn't pull a watch or some kind of clock. Guess I'll have to use this thing to tell time."
Ren held the Schrödinger's Poster/Seal scroll in one hand, a cigarette in his mouth.
From the time he left town to the moment he met Zoro, 007 had been working nonstop for over twenty-four hours.
That meant his daily usage counter was now 0/1, and summoning 007 again would require paying the fish he'd promised earlier.
He'd checked the notes earlier and found a rather blunt reminder:
[Note: Work-Averse Trait – Triggered]Description: The little seal is currently in a work-averse state. One particular "passenger" who should've been hung on a lamppost kept feeding it empty promises, making it work for twenty-five hours straight. If you fail to fulfill your promise next time, 007's chance of appearing will drop to 10%!
Ridiculous—but reasonable.
After all, 007 wasn't a real corporate slave. If it knew the boss was making empty promises, it wasn't going to keep smiling just for the paycheck.
Looks like Ren would have to keep his word; otherwise, the disappointed seal might refuse to show up later.
At that moment, the Schrödinger's Poster/Seal refreshed to show 1/1 daily uses again.
"Alright, let's begin. May Lady Luck be kind to me today!"
Click.
The silver lighter flared to life, igniting his cigarette. At the same time—
[Blessing of the Goddess of Luck – Triggered!]
Luck G++ → Luck E!
Perfect. Looks like today's Goddess of Luck was a solid 36E.
Coconut-tier!
"Now it's my turn! Dimensional Roulette—VIP Draw, ten spins!"
Ren gave the command without hesitation.
The roulette wheel spun rapidly, its surface radiating a whirl of brilliant colors that coalesced into a swirling vortex.
One by one, glowing orbs flew out from the vortex and landed on the ground, turning into distinct items.
{Obtained – Old Silver Desert Eagle}{Obtained – Unstable Bamboo-Copter}{Obtained – Magic Trick: Snapfire}{Obtained – Gilded Pocket Watch}{Obtained – Erguotou Liquor x1}{Obtained – Chewing Gum}{Obtained – Keychain}{Obtained – Handful of Dirt}{Obtained – Hardened Dog Poop}
The wheel hurled out ten glowing orbs, each transforming into an object on the ground.
But the last item—a dark, unidentifiable lump—made Ren flinch so hard he threw his tent by accident.
"What the hell!?"
He wiped his hand on the ground in disgust, scanning the items laid out before him.
Something wasn't right—the further down the list, the worse the quality became. By the end, it was all useless junk.
Especially that last one… dog crap!
"Does bad luck overflow and ruin the rest of the draws?"
Ren muttered to himself, just as a head poked into the tent.
Zoro's expression was dead serious, a lump of dog poop stuck on top of his head. "If there's nothing important going on, could you not throw weird stuff outside?"
"Ahaha, sorry about that."
Ren forced a smile, scratching his neck awkwardly. He'd nearly forgotten Zoro was standing guard outside.
Thinking quickly, he reached into his pack and pulled out a bottle. "Right, here—this is for you, Zoro."
"Liquor?"
Zoro's eyes lit up as he leaned halfway into the tent, snatching the ornate box with both hands.
But when he saw the foreign characters printed on it, he frowned. "What kind of drink is this? Looks like something nobles would sip."
"Maotai," Ren said, clearing his throat dramatically. Then, in his deepest announcer voice, he intoned:"An aroma from distant lands, a melody aged a hundred years. A mysterious valley, ancient and proud—the fragrance that's traveled the world for a century."
"A hundred-year liquor? Sounds fancy—I've gotta try this!"
Zoro's face broke into a grin. He backed out of the tent, muttering, "You're a decent guy after all."
Ren chuckled. "I'm a saint among men."
Then he turned back to the items for inspection.
After a moment, he sorted out four noteworthy things—three actual items and one skill:
Items:
Gilded Pocket Watch
Old Silver Desert Eagle
Unstable Bamboo-Copter
Skill:
Magic Trick: Snapfire
The pocket watch wasn't anything special, other than being useful for telling time.
The rest, though, were where the real value lay.
[Old Silver Desert Eagle]

[Unstable Bamboo-Copter]
Origin:Doraemon
Type: Flight Device
Effect: When worn on the head, it generates an anti-gravity field, enabling flight. However, due to internal instability in the gravity module, can only operate for one to two hours. Maximum speed: 80 km/h.Requires ten days of recharging after power depletion.
Consumes: High-Energy Electricity
[Magic Trick: Snapfire]
Origin: Magic Dimension
Type: Skill
Effect: By snapping your fingers, summon a floating ball of flame. Useful for lighting explosives or kindling.
Consumes: Stamina
"Jackpot!"
Ren's grin was as bright as a farmer admiring golden wheat fields—pure joy radiating from his face.
A Desert Eagle was a semi-auto firearm. He knew the basics—align the front and rear sights.
He hadn't practiced before, sure, but if he got close enough, it couldn't go too wrong… probably.
The pocket watch solved his timekeeping issue.
The Bamboo-Copter gave him a fast, safe means of escape—though that "unstable" part was a bit of a letdown.
And Snapfire? It might not be practical—but it was cool!
Power is temporary, but style is forever!
Still, if even the VIP Roulette couldn't grant extraordinary prizes, maybe the odds for truly rare items were lower than he thought.
Ren pondered the difference between regular and premium draws.
