Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 - Minecraft Dungeon 2

What I found in the blacksmith's was a genuine divine gift. Opening the chest, my eyes lit up, four blocks of obsidian, and, most impressively, two diamonds! With a book I could steal from one of the village houses, I could already craft the enchanting table!

I hadn't even started the second day, and I already had the materials to create an enchanting table! The progress I had made in such a short time was almost ridiculous. I felt a surge of satisfaction.

However, I didn't want Atom or his group to know that I had looted the village. To cover my tracks, I left some sticks and apples in the chest, hoping they would think the blacksmith hadn't been raided yet. Afterwards, I began to dig right next to the blacksmith, making my way into the depths, covering the hole behind me.

"It's time for mining!" I thought, full of excitement. But soon, that excitement faded.

The reality of mining was... repetitive. Hitting stone after stone, hoping to find something valuable, was tedious. As I dug and collected minerals, I realized how boring it could be to spend hours constantly chipping away.

At least, now I had an enchanting table. That would change everything, or at least, I hoped so.

...

On the fourth day of mining, when my hands were already numb from so much rock chipping, I came across something unexpected, a poisonous spider spawner in an abandoned mine.

Up until that moment, I was well-equipped with iron armor and tools, and my inventory was overflowing with minerals and stone blocks. Seeing the spawner made me stop for a moment. I could destroy it and move on, but an idea began to take shape in my mind... What if I build an experience farm? I could take advantage of the poisonous spiders to gain experience and, even better, collect the string they dropped to trade with the villagers. With enough string, I could exchange it for emeralds and start getting valuable equipment without spending my precious diamonds.

I could also trade sticks, as it was the easiest way to get emeralds.

I had managed to find three diamonds so far, and although the temptation to create new tools was strong, I preferred to save them for later, knowing how useful they would be once I left the instance. I wasn't willing to waste them so soon.

An experience farm would provide me with a continuous source of emeralds thanks to trading with the villagers.

With this plan clear, I began to chip away at the blocks around the spawner, designing a basic and simple trap for the farm.

Once the farm was finished, my next step would be to relocate the villagers. I would take them out of their quiet village and bring them to the mine. A more controlled place to work on the production of emeralds, tools, and eventually, enchanted diamond gear.

...

By the eighth day, my trading system with the villagers was already fully operational.

The experience farm had been a success, and experience levels flowed effortlessly. I had accumulated 74 levels, which was an absurdity considering the day I was on.

The task most tedious was bringing the villagers to the mine. I opted for simplicity: using boats to drag them to the space where I would confine them. Although there were other ways, this option worked, and that's what mattered.

Once inside, the work with the villagers began. With the five Librarians set up, I made sure to get the enchantments I wanted. After a lot of placing and removing the lecterns, I got what, in my opinion, were the most valuable, or at least the ones I needed most at the moment: Mending, Unbreaking III, Protection IV, Fortune III, and Infinity.

In an adjacent room, I separated some of the villagers, who began to reproduce. I knew I would need many more to get a wide range of items and enchantments, so I made sure they had enough food for it.

In front of one of the villagers, I placed a blast furnace, turning him into an Armorer. Once I maximize his trading level, I will be able to acquire enchanted diamond armor, which I can strip of its enchantments with a grindstone, allowing me to apply my own on an anvil, which I still had to craft.

In turn, the Armorer would provide me with enchanted diamond pickaxes, axes, and shovels.

Finally, I assigned a villager to the fletching table, who would be key to trading the excess spider string I now had for emeralds.

Over the following days, I concentrated entirely on trading with the villagers. Each exchange cycle brought me closer to having all the emeralds I needed.

...

By Day 12, I had fully equipped myself with enchanted diamond armor.

The helmet had the Mending, Unbreaking III, Protection IV, and Respiration III enchantments, perfect for keeping me safe and breathing underwater.

The diamond chest plate had Mending, Unbreaking III, Protection IV, and Thorns III, giving me a solid defense and returning part of the damage to my attackers.

The diamond leggings carried Mending, Unbreaking III, and Protection IV.

Finally, the diamond boots were equipped with Mending, Unbreaking III, Protection IV, and Feather Falling IV, perfect for cushioning any fall.

As for tools, I only worried about enchanting the essentials: the sword, the pickaxe, and the bow. The rest of my tools didn't need enchantments.

My Diamond Sword had Looting III, Mending, and Sharpness V.

I had two diamond pickaxes, both with Mending, Unbreaking III, and Efficiency V. However, one was enchanted with Fortune III and the other with Silk Touch.

Lastly, my bow was enchanted with Mending, Unbreaking III, Power V, and Infinity, ready for any long-range combat.

With everything prepared, it was time to create the portal to the Nether. My goal now was to get Ender Pearls and Blaze Rods. With these essential items, I could craft the Eyes of Ender, which would allow me to find the Stronghold and, eventually, the End Portal.

The confrontation with the Dragon was getting closer.

...

Upon crossing the portal to the Nether, I found myself on the edge of a cliff descending into a vast sea of lava. In the distance, I distinguished the Nether Fortress, a place where I knew I would find a Blaze spawner.

At the same time, I noticed I was in the Warped Forest Biome, a perfect place to hunt Endermen and collect Ender Pearls. For several hours, I dedicated myself to tracking these fearsome beings, trapping them in boats and then eliminating them with my enchanted sword with Looting III. I quickly managed to gather two full stacks of 16 pearls thanks to this.

With a good supply of pearls, I began to build a bridge towards the Nether Fortress. Upon arriving, I entered its dark corridors. Although I didn't find any chests, I faced several Wither Skeletons, which unfortunately didn't drop any heads. I wasn't worried; facing the Wither was not in my plans.

After about 20 minutes of exploration, I finally came across the Blaze spawner. I stayed, waiting patiently for their appearance, eliminating them one after another and collecting their rods. The mission was much faster than I expected, so I decided to look for a Ruined Bastion.

I'm very sorry for the Piglins, but all their gold is mine. Plus, I need to find the Smithing Template, which will allow me to upgrade my diamond armor to Netherite.

...

On Day 15, I finally found a Ruined Bastion.

Equipped with my enchanted diamond armor, the Piglins that rushed at me didn't pose a real challenge.

After eliminating them, I headed to the center of the bastion, where I was able to extract some gold blocks and check several chests.

In them, I found gold ingots, golden apples, a Netherite ingot, and, most valuable, a smithing template.

Not satisfied with this, I continued exploring until I found the Piglins' secret hideout, the place where they keep most of their gold. At the end of my expedition, I had collected almost 25 gold blocks.

Over the next two days, I dedicated myself completely to the tedious task of mining in the Nether in search of Ancient Debris.

I knew that only with this could I forge more Netherite ingots and take my gear to a new level. Although the process was slow and exhausting, the prospect of improving my armor and tools was enough to keep me motivated.

For a full set of Netherite armor, a total of 16 Ancient Debris was needed.

Since I already had one Netherite ingot, I didn't need any more to upgrade my sword, but my goal remained clear: to create the ultimate gear before facing the Dragon.

Furthermore, one of my biggest motivations was that I could take my armor with me into the real world, being able to use it for other dungeons.

...

Netherite! Finally! My armor and sword are now Netherite. It only took me almost 17 days to achieve it!

That's a crazy amount of time! Even if the days in Minecraft passed very quickly...

In a total of 17 days, I had almost completed Minecraft.

If I had been behind a screen, playing on a computer, I was sure I would have done it in half that time.

I had no doubt about it.

With the full gear, I feel unstoppable. Also, I have already crafted all the Eyes of Ender, which means the time has come to look for the Stronghold and activate the End Portal.

Get ready, Dragon, your end is near!

While adjusting my gear, a thought came to mind: How are Atom, KarateMaster, and their group doing? I haven't received any notification that they have been eliminated, which means they must still be out there somewhere, probably facing their own problems.
