Later that night: (ding*) I jolted awake from my comfort sleep as I quickly grabbed my phone--Sliding my blindfold further on my temple--I quickly skimmed through it.
It was a notification from my husband--"Hey... my driver cancelled in on me--Because of the heavy rain. I smiled and then continued reading--"Could you come pick me up?"
I jumped out of bed that instant and quickly freshened up.
I wore a beige body-fitting dress--Quickly combing my hair, I slide a nude lipstick on my lips and voila!
I was ready...just like that.
Later in the car:
I tapped my armrest impatiently as my eyes fell to the window--The sky had a type of a magnificent magenta hue to it. I admired it as we drove. Soon it began to turn dark--As I saw a single droplet on the window.
My eyes slightly widened as I gazed at a raven-colored sky. I then gazed at it mesmerized--I never truly got the time to enjoy nature--The only grass that I had known for the past 10 years were the artificial grass on the soccer field.
The low hum of the radio rumbled through the car--Filling in a quiet feeling of serenity--As I then laid my head further back--Soon, I drifted to sleep.
The car soon came to a halt--As my eyes then equally fluttered opened. I then gazed at Mert--Are we...? He gave me a quick nod--As he then got out--Quickly opening the door to my side.
I then got out--The rain had stopped now--My ears were quickly filled in with the sound of jets flying over me. I then gazed at the bright lights of the airport--Something stirred in me,
I'm meeting my husband for the second time! it should be exciting right?
right?
I then quickly made my way to the entrance--Heels clicking as if to demand attention. The staffs' eyes turned wide--As many then swarmed me--Offering to take my bag. I was then guided to the VIP lounge--There he was.
Mr. Yildiz, My dear husband. He wore a crisp black suit--Eyes glued to his watch like he couldn't spare a single second. Mr. Yildiz- who had abandoned me right after our wedding.
My lips curled into a bitter smile as we made eye contact--His gaze seemed to be darting around; he then got up and strode to me. Quickly wrapping his arms around me.
I let out a soft gasp at his sudden action then masked it with something else--As My eyes caught a glimpse of a camera from one of the crowds. My jaw clenched--So... this is why?
He then shamelessly murmured: "act" his arms then tightening the hold of me as I disobeyed. Fine...I whispered back, smiling like an idiot.
Soon after our cute "Pleasantries" as husband & wife, we quickly strode to the vehicle--We both got in without uttering another word the engine hummed to life as we drove away.
During the entire ride--The air seemed to be thick with silence--As Yildiz's gaze was glued to his computer--His sharp jawline clenched from frustration from time to time. As he ran a hand through his coal-black hair--His cuffs were rolled up--Giving me a glimpse of his Viney hands.
His gaze then quickly fell to mine--"What?" he asked in a low, uninterested tone. I shook my head and quickly looked away--My face was flushed in embarrassment. Gosh, what was I thinking...
Later, we soon reached our mansion. He got out--Not even lending me a hand, he began to walk in.
Mert's hand were around the door handle--He then opened it for me--My eyes were starting to Yildiz--How cold and distant he had become--I then got out and followed him behind.
My gaze was low--He was always like this, ever since he heard that his parents asked for my hand in marriage. He had been like that--Even at the ceremony, at family gatherings. He has always given me the cold shoulder...
just maybe...everything will change?
right?
That's worth another chapter!
