✅ CHAPTER ONE — My Life
Today I actually walked out on my grandma.
Why? Because she told me, "Go get yourself a boyfriend!"Like… what does that even solve? As if a boyfriend will magically fix life. Please.
Anyway — hi. Let me start properly.My name is Park Yii-na. I work at a production company called Riches Roads — yes, that Riches Roads. The famous one. I'm a busy woman, thank you very much.
I have three brothers:
Sun-jae — the oldest, emotional, dramatic, art-boy energy
In-gyu — calm, quiet, thinks he knows everything
Hae-jo — chaos in human form and my favorite (after me, of course)
Dad is Korean. Mom is British. I'm a mix.My brothers somehow came out fully Korean — don't ask me how, genetics is a scam.We all live in America.
So yes — the boyfriend issue.It all started one spring morning…
Mom barged into my room and said,"Aigoo, you're always lying around, eating, going to work, and NEVER finding a man!"
I groaned. "I'm in love with my job, eomeonie. And unlike Sun-jae, I'm straight."
She laughed. "At least he's not a womanizer like Hae-jo."
"So that means only me and In-gyu are perfect," I declared proudly.
"YAAH! Go get yourself a boyfriend!" she shouted.
I rolled my eyes. "And for what? Extra stress? No thanks."
I left the house still hearing her nagging in my head.
The Alexander Problem
I did like someone. His name is Alexander.Sweet. Cute. Perfect hair. Perfect smile.
Except last night I saw him kissing Claire — holding her leg while kissing her.A whole Netflix-level scene. My soul left my body.
So yeah, love is dead.
At work Claire acted like she won a trophy, trying to show off. I ignored her, but inside? I wanted to delete her from existence like a corrupted file.
By the end of the day, I didn't even go home. Mom would still be mad.I booked a hotel, bought new clothes, slept like a drama queen.
The next morning, on the bus, I saw In-gyu.
I plopped down beside him. "Yah! You didn't look for me."
He shrugged. "I'm used to it. You're barely home."
Wow. Betrayal runs in this family.
The Sun-jae Chapter
So… about Sun-jae.He likes guys. I already said this before, but here's how I found out.
June 2025 — he went out drinking with his college friends Sam, Fred, and Dale.A stripper named Gerald kissed him in some VIP corner. He freaked out… then didn't.Next thing we know, he kept going back.
Three months later, he had a boyfriend — Christopher (Chris for short).
I found out accidentally. I came to stay at his apartment. Nobody answered so I used the spare key from the flower pot. I heard… noises. Thought it was a girlfriend.
Went upstairs — saw kissing, hugging, everything.I quietly escaped to Jade's room (my ex — long story).
Next morning they were still cuddling like they were in a K-drama.I dragged Sun-jae away and whispered, "Are you REALLY gay?"
He whispered, "It's temporary."
Then Chris yelled from the room, "Babe, breakfast!"
Temporary? HA.
They made pancakes and suddenly I was in a sitcom I never asked to join.
But… he looked happy. Truly happy. And I couldn't hate that.
Revealing the Secret
I kept it secret until November.We were at Jade's 26th birthday party. Hae-jo came with me.
At night, Sun-jae walked in drunk, holding Chris.
"Babe, let's go to our room."
Hae-jo blinked. "Bro… you mean bro, right?"
Chris smiled. "No. He means babe."
Silence.Then chaos.
"YOU KNEW?" Hae-jo yelled at me.
"Um… June to November… five months? Yeah."
He screamed. Jade screamed. Music got louder.And we just kept partying. Because what else do you do?
Back to the Bus
So yes. That brings us back to me and In-gyu on the bus.
"In-gyu, you're so mean. How dare you," I whined.
He rolled his eyes like always.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is my life.
Exhausting, dramatic, and absolutely ridiculous.
And apparently… I still need a boyfriend.
