Chapter 59 - Chapter 59: Temporary Departure from the Game of Thrones World

"Damn those giant worms! Just you wait—one day I'll come back and roast you alive!"

Cursing as he returned to the system space, the well-seasoned Aedric immediately told the system to calculate his harvest. A familiar light screen appeared before him, neatly listing the results of this mission: 80,000 Luck Points.

"Not bad," he muttered with satisfaction. "Guess all that effort wasn't wasted."

After personally slaying the Night King and becoming the savior of humanity, Aedric was revered across the Seven Kingdoms as the Storm Dragon King, ruling alongside his wife, the Dragon Queen Daenerys.

But having already governed a unified dynasty back on Earth, Aedric had no interest in managing this loose confederation. He simply handed the Iron Throne over to Daenerys and appointed Tyrion Lannister as Hand of the Queen. Then he threw himself into cultivating the ninth level of Postnatal Inner Core Technique, hoping to reach completion soon.

Three years later, when Myrcella finally came of age, Aedric shared a bed with his legitimate wife at last. They had three children together. The eldest son was adopted by Daenerys to inherit the throne; the second he kept by his side for training; and the youngest daughter he entrusted to Ygritte to raise as her foster child.

Knowing too well the stigma surrounding bastards in this world, Aedric had deliberately decided not to let Ygritte bear him a child. Making her the guardian of a royal daughter was the best compromise he could offer.

As for Arya, the "little wolf," after Aedric laid down his swords and retired, she rose to become the greatest swordswoman of the Seven Kingdoms, earning the title Wolf-Tooth Divine Blade in honor of her astounding feat—slaying seven White Walkers single-handedly during the war.

A woman that fierce was, of course, impossible to marry off. So, much like in the show, she roamed the world freely, living a life of adventure and joy.

Ten years after the battle with the Night King, Aedric finally broke through to the ninth level of Postnatal Inner Core Technique. Realizing there was little left for him to gain in this world, he began to think seriously about leaving.

Before departing, though, he borrowed one of Daenerys's dragons and flew to the long-ruined Valyria, eager to see if any treasures still lay buried there.

With his cultivation at its peak and his "Unburnt" body capable of withstanding magma itself, Aedric navigated the fiery ruins with ease. After much searching, he discovered a hidden chamber untouched by time—inside were bars of Valyrian steel and the complete records of its forging process.

A magnificent find.

Then came trouble.

He had assumed nothing could survive in such a hellish place. He was wrong. Living deep within the molten rivers were creatures called Fire Worms—massive, serpent-like beings that bathed in lava. Their skin was so tough it rivaled Valyrian steel itself.

When Aedric accidentally disturbed their nest, he managed to slay several of the beasts—but in doing so, provoked an entire swarm. Thousands upon thousands of Fire Worms burst forth from the ground. Even with his overwhelming power, Aedric couldn't handle such numbers. After battling for a full day and night, he was forced to summon his dragon and retreat to the skies.

Fortunately, the creatures could burrow—but not fly.

Returning to King's Landing, Aedric handed the forging records and steel to Daenerys, instructing her to rebuild the art of Valyrian steel before finding an opportunity to quietly leave this world and return to the system space.

He had no choice; with the Fire Worms stirred up, he couldn't risk going back anytime soon.

Still, seeing his immense haul—far greater than from the last world—he couldn't help but smile. "Not bad at all. From a bicycle to a motorcycle, as they say."

"Do you require anything?" the system asked blandly.

"Heh, I knew you wouldn't just let me keep all this Luck." Aedric smirked. "If you'd give me another twenty thousand, I'd exchange for an Innate-Stage Technique right now. But I guess that's too much to hope for."

"The Luck you earn depends on your own effort," the system replied flatly. "I can't interfere. If I could… well, never mind. No point crying about it. What do you want to exchange?"

"You sound like a system with a tragic backstory," Aedric joked, shaking his head. Then, curious, he asked, "Wait—weren't you the one who said nothing except items in my storage could be brought back? Why is my cultivation still intact?"

Indeed, he had noticed that his inner core, dragonfire, and even magic were all still present—unlike when he returned from the Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre world, where he'd lost everything.

"Because these powers originate from the Postnatal Inner Core Technique," the system said with a snort. "Didn't I tell you? Anything exchanged through me is multiversal. It never disappears."

"Including my 'Unburnt' and 'Skinchanger' abilities?" Aedric's eyes lit up.

"The inner core merges essence, energy, and spirit," the system replied impatiently. "Your dragon-wolf bloodlines are already fused into your essence. Of course they remain.

"See? I'm not some greedy merchant. A one-time purchase—benefits for life."

"Hah, I'll admit, that was a good deal. Thanks," Aedric said sincerely.

"We're symbiotic," the system huffed. "The better you do, the more I gain. Don't lump me in with those parasitic systems that screw over their hosts. What's the point of sabotaging my own investment? You think a 'Chosen Protagonist' whose soul frequency actually matches mine is easy to find?"

"Stop calling me that," Aedric growled. "Say that again, and I'll stop being polite."

"Ungrateful brat," the system muttered. "So, are you making any exchanges or not? If not, I'll throw you straight into the next mission."

"Exchange!" Aedric said quickly, placing Blackfyre, Dark Sister, his Valyrian armor, and other treasures before him. "Make these all multiversal versions."

A flash of red light—and 5,000 points vanished.

"Also, one living-being storage space and five non-living storage spaces."

Another burst of light—10,000 points gone.

"One more thing." Aedric took out the massive dragon egg he'd been unable to hatch for over a decade. "How much to hatch this?"

"Thirty thousand points."

"Forget it." Realizing he was still poor, Aedric put the egg away. "Tell me about the next world."

As the information flowed into his mind, his expression twisted with fury.

"Didn't I specifically tell you to warn me if the next host was female?! What the hell is this, huh?! You said you don't scam people!"

"Oops," the system said lazily. "Must've slipped my mind. Want to change the identity?"

"Change it! Male! I'm not playing a damn cross-dressing protagonist again!"

"You can change the form," the system warned, "but remember this: regardless of your identity, you must still complete the main character's mission.

"If the host dies before completion, you stay in that world forever. I won't be able to retrieve you."

"Got it." Aedric nodded, then exchanged a few more items. Looking at the remaining 50,000 Luck Points, still far from what he needed for the Innate-Stage Technique, he sighed. "Nothing else. Let's move on."

The next moment, his vision went dark— and consciousness slipped away.
