Chapter 62 - 62

Morrison Craid liked Nolan Locke's current expression very much.

Because he felt that.

That was an unwilling expression.

But what if he was unwilling?

What could a mere Nolan Locke do!

He represented HYDRA.

Perhaps the current Nolan Locke's heart was filled with indignation.

Even filled with the urge to kill.

But in the coming period.

He would know how powerful HYDRA's capabilities were.

Then he would compromise.

Or, like his father who betrayed them.

Or like the disobedient Howard Stark.

Looking at Morrison Craid's eyes.

Nolan suddenly calmed down.

This was good.

At least he now understood the real cause of his father's death.

The crisis behind his own identity was also completely exposed.

He didn't like people being bad behind his back.

Like this, putting everything out in the open, was a very good outcome.

"Mr. Morrison Craid. Have you considered something?"

Morrison Craid smiled and looked at Nolan.

"What is it?"

"You revealed the fact that HYDRA killed my father. Do you think I would hand over everything I built with such hard work to my father's killer?"

Nolan sighed.

He didn't know if he was sighing at Morrison Craid's confidence or his stupidity.

Morrison Craid didn't care at all.

"Next, you will stay here for three days. These three days are your final deadline."

After speaking, Morrison Craid directly got up.

And then left.

Looking at Morrison Craid's back.

Nolan muttered to himself:

"Did you hear that? Kill him."

"Okay, Mr."

Red Queen's voice sounded from the wristband.

Compromise?

Nolan chuckled softly.

He had lived for so many years and didn't even know how to write the word compromise!

HYDRA was very troublesome.

But also not troublesome.

Because in the end, this was just an organization composed of ordinary people.

Perhaps, HYDRA would send the Winter Soldier to kill him?

After thinking about it, Nolan felt it was unlikely.

For HYDRA, a dead Nolan Locke was not worth much.

Morrison Craid walked outside.

On the way, he happened to meet Matt Murdock who was rushing over.

He looked at Matt Murdock with amusement.

Then he sneered and left the Police station.

Matt Murdock was a member of Nolan's legal team.

Nolan specifically hired him.

Of course, he also had another title, called Daredevil.

The reason he joined Locke Technology was very simple.

Nolan paid too much!

No one disliked money.

Moreover, Nolan didn't restrict his arrangements during non-work hours.

As the two brushed past each other.

Matt Murdock also glanced at him.

After walking up to Nolan, he said:

"Boss, we might have encountered some trouble. There are many accusations against you, and it might take a few more days to handle these accusations."

Nolan raised an eyebrow.

"You mean, I can't get out tonight?"

"We are working hard."

Matt Murdock replied.

But the meaning of these words was very simple.

Nolan might really not be able to get out.

Hearing this, Nolan smiled.

As expected of HYDRA, they used some underhanded tactics.

These tactics seemed to be very intimidating to anyone.

But they seemed to have forgotten.

This was an era of capital, and even more so... an era of Captain Marvel!

"Understood, tell Simon to start the star-making project."

He had long considered that in this World, the best way to gain more benefits was to package himself as a Captain Marvel.

People's worship was not just fame, but also tangible benefits.

So, he needed an identity.

A more glamorous identity.

Captain Marvel!

Outside the Police station.

Morrison Craid looked at the setting Sun.

He had a feeling that the World was completely under his control.

Light belonged to the World, and darkness belonged to HYDRA!

He faced the setting Sun, clenched his fist, and held it tightly.

Then he placed it on his chest.

At that moment, he felt as if he had grasped the entire World!

"Hail HYDRA!"

He muttered a slogan to himself.

The next instant,

Bang!

A gunshot rang out.

A hole appeared in his forehead.

Morrison Craid fell down in response.

His eyes were full of disbelief.

On the roof of a building in the distance.

A sniper put away his sniper rifle.

Pressing a finger to his earbud, he said:

"Mission accomplished."

Then he quickly moved away.

By the time the Police arrived.

The place was already empty.

As soon as Morrison Craid died.

Nolan had already received feedback from Red Queen.

However, he didn't let Matt Murdock know about this.

These Captain Marvel were full of righteousness.

Although they were very useful, sometimes, it was better to avoid unnecessary trouble.

Matt Murdock walked out of the Police station.

Noticing the body on the ground, he was a little surprised.

A familiar smell.

It was that person from earlier.

At this moment,

George Stacy was sitting opposite Nolan.

"Nolan Locke, someone wants to deal with you. Otherwise, I think I would have already received the notification to let you leave."

Nolan nodded.

The Director of the New York City Police Department.

Of course, he couldn't be a fool.

"Director Stacy, may I use a mobile phone?"

George Stacy hesitated.

But eventually, he handed over his phone.

Nolan smiled and dialed a number.

"Yo, Stark."

"Nolan Locke, do you know I'm in the middle of research?"

Tony Stark's tone was not good.

Nolan didn't care about his tone at all.

He just said:

"I need your help."

Hearing this, Tony Stark's voice immediately became excited.

Damn it.

God knows he had been saved by Nolan Locke twice, no, it should be three times!

Because he had now found the future city plan.

And discovered the new element.

This would be the perfect substitute for palladium.

Being saved three times, God knows how uncomfortable he was.

Now, Nolan Locke finally asked him for help!

"Help me find out who is causing me trouble."

Nolan Locke didn't say more.

But that was enough.

Tony Stark was different from him.

Nolan was just a newcomer to the capital game.

Even when his father was in charge of Locke Company.

The size of Locke Company, in the military industry field, was among the worst.

But Stark Industries was an absolute giant.

In this World, for Tony Stark.

As long as he wanted to know, there weren't many secrets.

He hung up the phone.

George Stacy looked at him.

"Done?"

"Done. I think you will receive a call in a moment."

Nolan said with a smile.

Less than half an hour later.

George Stacy walked in.

His expression was complicated.

"You are right, I did receive a call.

Now you can leave."

Damn capital, George Stacy silently said to himself.

Then he stared at Nolan and spoke again:

"That lawyer you met earlier, died right after leaving the Police station."

Nolan still had a faint smile on his face.

"Oh? That lawyer, he wasn't my lawyer.

Letting him come here was your dereliction of duty.

And you also said, he died right after leaving the Police station.

I am still sitting here, so it's clearly impossible for me to have anything to do with his death.

Isn't it?"

Nolan rested his chin on his hand.

There was a faint smile on his face.

This was reality.
