"GUA!!!"
Zhang Chulan let out a long, heaven-shaking roar. This time, the aura he erupted with imposed a palpable sense of pressure on the nearby Ten Masters; a few of the weaker ones even found it difficult to breathe. Dazzling blue-white electric arcs danced wildly around him, almost forming a physical domain of lightning. The air was distorted by the immense energy, producing sharp, whistling shrieks!
On the high platform, Lu Jin's eyes widened as he cried out in shock, "This... how is this possible?! One month! How could he reach this level in just one month?! This cultivation technique is simply inconceivable!"
Beside him, Lu Ci wore a heavy expression, his heart churning with waves of disbelief. He began to re-evaluate this Zhang Chulan, whom he had previously looked down upon.
Old Taoist Master Zhang Zhiwei's gaze also became incredibly solemn. He could clearly feel that every time Zhang Chulan stood back up after being knocked down by Ian, the Qi within his body underwent a miraculous transformation. It was as if every moment spent on the brink of his limits was accumulating nourishment for the next breakthrough.
'This technique is truly peculiar,' the Old Taoist Master thought. 'It seems as if it were born solely for the purpose of battle.'
However, even with the power of Fifty-Thousand-Volt Power, it was still insufficient before Ian. Ian seemed to perceive that Zhang Chulan was approaching a certain critical threshold and felt that the "warm-up" was just about finished.
Zhang Chulan charged again, carrying the momentum of fifty thousand volts. This time, he felt powerful beyond precedent; his speed and strength had reached a new peak! Furthermore, he could sense the subtle shifts of this power within him. The current in his body was no longer just flowing simply; it began to slowly spiral and change in a miraculous fashion.
He had a faint intuition that if he were to return now for a brief rest to calm himself, within a month, his power would automatically circulate and reach the realm Ian called Magnetic Field Rotation.
Should he surrender?
No! Facing such an opportunity for a breakthrough, how could he choose to go back and rest! How could power gained through natural cultivation compare to power forged through the thousand-fold tempering of battle!
"GUA! I want to fight!"
Zhang Chulan roared, pushing the Current Push within his body to the limit of fifty thousand volts, throwing himself into an all-out attack against Ian once more.
Seeing this, the corners of Ian's mouth curled slightly upward.
"That's the spirit, kid. Don't let external factors influence your strength!"
He stopped playing around and lightly raised his right hand. "Magnetic Field Rotation: 0.1 Horsepower."
Ian condensed the power between his fingers, controlling it to a visible degree so that Zhang Chulan could witness with his own eyes what true Magnetic Field Rotation looked like. Zhang Chulan's eyes widened instantly, watching with total infatuation.
Pa!
Ian's finger tapped lightly against his forehead. It looked like a mere touch, but the pain made Zhang Chulan grit his teeth in agony. He stumbled back seven or eight steps before barely steadying himself.
"This is the fundamental difference between Magnetic Field Rotation and Current Push."
As Ian struck, he explained the principles. Zhang Chulan endured the excruciating pain to memorize every single word.
Pa! Another flick of the finger.
"Ordinary Fifty-Thousand-Volt Power Current Push is as weak as a bug before true Magnetic Field Rotation."
Zhang Chulan's cheek swelled up, yet he remained death-stared onto Ian's every movement.
Bang!
Ian struck again. Zhang Chulan was sent flying once more, slamming heavily into the ground, but he scrambled up immediately, his eyes filled with fanaticism.
"Setting aside the million-horsepower level that the Magnetic Field system naturally possesses, this system has other manifestations." Ian continued to explain, "Namely: Total Realm and Magnetic Field Flow."
He raised his hand for another strike, and this time Zhang Chulan took the initiative to meet it.
"What you felt just now is a manifestation of the Total Realm."
Ian's palm lightly patted Zhang Chulan's chest. A path of extremely weak Magnetic Field ability was struck out. Zhang Chulan felt nothing, yet the clothes on his back instantly exploded, and the berserk force even shattered the iron blocks of the arena floor.
The audience below was dumbfounded.
"Has Chulan gone mad? Why does he keep rushing in?" The spectators were full of confusion.
"No, he has realized something," Wang Ye said, his eyes deep and thoughtful.
"Ian is... helping him break through?" Zhuge Qing's brow furrowed.
Ten minutes passed. Zhang Chulan was covered in blood and his clothes were in tatters, but he continued to stand up time and again to meet Ian's attacks.
"Is this kid trying to kill himself?"
"No, wait! The power fluctuations inside him are changing!" someone among the Ten Masters cried out.
Zhang Chulan stood up once more, swaying unsteadily, but his body suddenly became still. He closed his eyes, sensing the changes within. Through the process of being knocked down and rising again countless times, every one of Ian's strikes had been like a blade, hacking away at the shackles within his body.
The current inside Zhang Chulan was no longer rushing randomly; it began to move in an orderly fashion, forming one precise magnetic ring after another.
"I understand now."
He opened his eyes, and the electric light no longer flickered within them. The wild arcs on his skin began to retract rapidly, transforming into a more restrained, profound power. His entire aura underwent a qualitative change, shifting from surface-level violence to internal condensation.
"Magnetic Field Rotation: 10,000 Horsepower!"
Zhang Chulan gave a low shout, and an invisible pressure instantly enveloped the entire arena! The Ten Masters below all changed countenance simultaneously, each feeling as if they were being crushed by a great mountain, unable to catch their breath!
"This... this is impossible!" Lu Jin struggled to squeeze out the words. "How could he suddenly become this strong? What kind of monster is this kid?"
Ian looked at the brand-new Zhang Chulan before him and nodded with satisfaction. "Your talent is decent enough."
Internally, he thought, 'Among the people I've met, his talent is enough to rank in the top one hundred million!'
Zhang Chulan panted heavily, but a look of wild joy appeared on his face. "Brother Ian, is this the feeling of Magnetic Field Rotation? This... this feels amazing!"
"This is only the beginning." Ian's mouth curved up slightly. "How about it, want to come up and try again?"
Zhang Chulan wiped the blood from his face and smiled. "Forget it, Brother Ian. Let me rest. I feel like I've hit the limit; my body can't handle any more for now. Fighting further would be a waste of effort."
He stood up straight, staggering slightly, and rubbed his aching shoulder. "But this feeling... it's indescribable. Like there's a mini-universe operating inside my body."
"I surrender!" Zhang Chulan raised his hand to signal his surrender to the referee.
Old Taoist Master Zhang Zhiwei floated down to the center of the arena, his hands behind his back. "Contestant Zhang Chulan surrenders! I announce the champion of this Grand Luo Heaven Sacrifice—Ian!"
He turned to Ian, a flash of curiosity in his eyes. "According to the rules, you can choose to become the next generation's Celestial Master, or you can choose to obtain the Gate of Eight Origins."
Zhang Zhiwei paused and added playfully, "Little friend, do you want to be the next Celestial Master? We have official benefits and a stable career path, you know."
The surrounding crowd laughed at the Old Taoist Master's joke, and the atmosphere relaxed considerably.
However, Ian let out a hearty laugh. His entire body suddenly erupted with brilliant magnetic light, and invisible waves expanded outward with him as the center. Everyone's breathing stopped under the weight of this instantaneous power. They suddenly felt that the person before them was not a mortal, but a celestial body, radiating light and gravity that could not be looked at directly.
Ian grinned, stuffed his hands into his pockets, and scanned the entire field.
"The Grand Luo Heaven Sacrifice is over." His voice wasn't loud, yet it echoed through the entire valley. "But the competition has only just begun."
