Chapter 5 - Sharing Resources

"[Freezing Cold]: Boss, do you have any instructions for now? How should we support each other?"

"[Boiling Alive]: Boss, please give the orders. I'll follow whatever you say."

"[Starving Platform]: Boss, please instruct us. I'll follow your lead."

"[Super Block Man]: Uh, I already told you not to call me boss. But everyone, tell me your current situation first so we can brainstorm together."

"[Super Block Man]: I'll start. I transmigrated into a game world called Minecraft. Right now, it seems the only land left in this entire world is the tiny Sky platform/Skyblock under my feet. The sky is empty, and beneath the island lies an endless void."

"[Super Block Man]: This world has many magical items—its physical rules might differ from other worlds. I'll test that later."

"[Super Block Man]: For now, I'm not in any danger. My Transmutation Tablet can provide me with plenty of building blocks, so my next step is expanding the Skyblock. But there are a few materials you guys could help me collect. That way, I can develop faster in the early stages."

"[Super Block Man]: I'll send the list to the group later. What I need shouldn't be hard for you to find, and I don't need much—just a little bit."

"[Boiling Alive]: I transmigrated to a high-temperature apocalypse. I'm currently in a rock fissure. Although it's extremely hot, the ice blocks in my storage space are enough to last me for a long time. I plan to rest for a while and then try to leave the Desert again. I need to make contact with human society first to better assess the apocalypse situation and to facilitate the collection and organization of supplies."

"[Freezing Cold] sent a Red Packet to [Boiling Alive]."

"[Freezing Cold]: I sent you two survival packs—they've got flashlights, compasses, and some other gear. Thought you might need them."

"[Boiling Alive] received the Red Packet."

"[Boiling Alive]: Thanks, Molly! This is a huge help. If you need anything, I'll find it for you once I get out of here."

"[Freezing Cold]: Hehe, I'm just glad to help. I don't need anything special right now. If you really want to return the favor, maybe download some of your world's movies, shows, anime, and novels for me later. I've downloaded tons from my world already, but I feel like I'll get tired of them eventually."

"[Boiling Alive]: Got it! Mission accepted! Leo, your turn—what do you need?"

"[Starving Platform]: The chat says I transmigrated into the Slasher World, but I'm currently trapped on the 120th floor of The Platform. My biggest issue before was food, but now that the boss and Molly have sent me chocolate energy bars, I don't have any urgent needs."

"[Starving Platform]: Oh, right—Molly, do you have any weapons? I don't know what this Slasher World is like, but from the name alone, it's safe to assume there's no shortage of maniacs who kill for fun. My roommate on this floor seems quiet, but I've seen enough movies to know quiet ones are often the scariest. Honestly, I'm a little freaked out."

"[Freezing Cold]: I do have weapons, but not spares. I've got a stun baton, a small chainsaw, and an anti-stab vest. I also have two fruit knives, but they're really short—the blade's only half a finger long. Should've bought longer ones! Oh, but I do have some old ice picks. Do you want them?"

"[Super Block Man]: Don't worry about weapons. Leave that to me. @Freezing Cold, Molly, do you have any iron objects or wood on hand?"

"[Freezing Cold]: Oh, okay, boss! As for iron objects and wood, I've got plenty of iron objects—there are a few iron cups right beside me."

"[Freezing Cold]: For wood, I'm sitting on a big wooden stump by the fire. The excavator operator dug it up when they were doing my yard, and I thought it looked nice, so I kept it and had them move it here as a chair. It's sturdy, should last a long time."

"[Freezing Cold]: I'll send it to you now."

"[Freezing Cold] sent a Red Packet to [Super Block Man]."

Ian retrieved the Red Packet—a wooden stump and an iron cup appeared before him. "Phew, not bad. There's still plenty of raw wood left."

He pulled the stump and the iron cup out of the system space, then sold them to the Transmutation Tablet. (sold for EMC)

Buzz, buzz, buzz. A buzzing sound suddenly resonated in Ian's mind, seemingly coming from the Transmutation Tablet.

[ding! Generating new function... ding! New function complete! Ultimate Transmutation Tablet has gained a new feature—Item Completion.]

[Item Completion Function: Consumes EMC to complete similar items. (For example, consuming EMC to turn a wooden stump into a full log block.)]

"Whoa, the Ultimate Transmutation Tablet really is divine!"

He'd been worried about not being able to decompose and craft a Crafting Table, but now there was nothing to worry about.

He thought silently: Consume EMC to complete the stump into logs, and the iron cup into iron ingots. Instantly, a small amount of EMC was spent, and new icons for logs and iron ingots appeared on the tablet.

"This new function is amazing. I thought the normal Transmutation Tablet was already unbeatable, but this is on another level!"

He quickly took out logs, broke them into wooden planks, and—of course—didn't craft a Crafting Table yet. Any seasoned Transmutation Tablet player knows: when you get a new tradable item, you sell it first.

That's why Ian loved the Ultimate Transmutation Tablet's ability to sell almost anything.

He repeated the process—took out planks, crafted a Crafting Table, sold it, then taking out another one and placed it on the ground. Time to start crafting properly. His Skyblock survival was about to level up.

Next, he crafted a furnace, placed it beside the table, and filled both top and bottom slots with stacks of logs. Wasteful? Maybe. But this was the luxury of a rich man.

"What, you don't believe I'm rich? Want me to hit you with gold blocks?"

"Huh? Where do I get gold blocks? Sorry, my Transmutation Tablet has Philosopher's Stone functionality. Just hold four iron blocks, focus, and—bam—gold ingots. Even easier than the original Philosopher's Stone."

"Once I get more key materials, I'll be smashing emerald blocks instead."

Then came crafting: iron sword, iron pickaxe, iron axe, iron hoe, shield, and a full set of iron armor.

But his swagger didn't last long. Ian quickly pulled the nearly two stacks of logs and a few pieces of charcoal out of the furnace. He wasn't as rich as he thought—his EMC balance was already dropping fast.

However, he would remember this moment of "destitution," because although he would gain massive amounts of EMC later…!

Putting on his full iron armor felt great. The blocky armor became a sleek medieval iron suit, and looking at his handsome avatar, Ian vowed silently: Next time I meet the group, I'll wear something even cooler—and pricier.

"[Super Block Man] sent Red Packets to [Starving Platform] and [Freezing Cold]."

"[Super Block Man]: @Starving Platform, Leo, I sent you two iron swords, two iron helmets, and two shields. Check your receipt."

"[Super Block Man]: @Freezing Cold, Molly, I sent you a few small wooden chairs to replace your stump."

(It was actually wooden slabs—but come on, in Minecraft they're stairs. In any other world, half a meter tall is definitely a chair, unless you're a giant.)

"[Starving Platform] has received the Red Packet."

"[Freezing Cold] has received the Red Packet."

"[Starving Platform]: Thanks, boss."

"[Freezing Cold]: Thank you, Boss!"
