A loud knocking was heard Shen Yichen slowly walked to the door and opened it. Standing there was an old lady barely five feet tall with a slight stoop.
Her silver hair was pulled back in a tight bun, not a strand out of place.
She was dressed, well-worn clothes that were meticulously clean.
Her face is deeply lined, especially around her mouth from years of frowning, but her eyes remain on him with sharpness.
Shen Yichen recognised her from the fragmented memories; she was Madam Lui who was the Land Lady of the apartment, where the original owner was living in.
Madam Lui's sharp voice cut through his thoughts.
"Well are you going to let me in or just stand there daydreaming? I didn't came here to admire the view," she huffed
tapping her cane against the floor, creating a thump.
Shen Yichen stepped aside, Madam Liu entered the apartment and her keen eyes scanned the mess.
"Honestly, this place looks worse than a pigsty. And speaking of which," she continued harshly,
" Ihope you haven't forgotten to pay the rent. I expect it by the end of the week".
Shen swallowed hard, remembering the original owner had not paid rent for a long time. It is his luck that the old lady was kind enough not to have kicked him out.
"I..I'll get it to you. Just give me a little time I promise I will pay the rent".
She raised her eyebrow, arms crossed tightly over her chest.
"Time? Time doesn't pay bill itself. You think I enjoy chasing tenants over their rent?".
"Pay me as soon as you can or I will start considering finding someone else. I can only extend to 2 weeks for you to pay me back."
After she finished her talk she left Shen Yichen to think about how to cancel his contract with StarSea Production and potentially earn money.
