Chapter 117 - Where to download the hypnosis software?

Eriri herself wasn't very good at weaving stories. The content of her doujinshi was basically aimed at "practical utility" and "explosive release," so the plot could be said to be the weakest link. It couldn't withstand scrutiny at all and had even been attacked by people who disliked it, saying things like, "That's a lie anyone can see through at a glance," or "Only an idiot would step into that trap," wondering what the author was thinking.

Jhin voluntarily bringing up the plot made Eriri somewhat expectant. Just because she couldn't weave a story didn't mean others couldn't. Moreover, since it was a boy coming up with a doujinshi story, he should be able to give her some new inspiration.

"I'll tell you the simplest one. A Hero party of three accidentally falls into a trap. The entire small room is sealed, and aphrodisiac gas is sprayed inside. They have nowhere to escape. The Demon King and his subordinates happily check the recording twenty-four hours later."

"Mhm, mhm, and then?"

"As a result, they discover there is no video as imagined. The Hero party of three had long since died of asphyxiation."

"Huh? This..." Eriri's eyes widened into perfect circles. She never expected the Hero would actually die of asphyxiation just like that. She carefully thought it over and realized it actually made sense. The room was sealed, and the aphrodisiac would accelerate people's breathing rates. The little bit of air in that small room naturally wasn't enough for three people to breathe for twenty-four hours; dying inside was quite normal.

"How about it, this story?"

"It is indeed a bit interesting, but does this have any connection to my work?"

Jhin shook his head, raising his index finger and waving it left and right, wearing an expression that said 'you don't understand anything.'

"A good plot can add points to a good art style. You just need to make a few small twists in the plot. For example, the male lead actually does it to cure the female lead, or perhaps all of this is just the female lead's delusion. Doesn't the story immediately become different? You could even release a sequel."

"That is indeed true, but recently there have been a lot of 'Hypnosis App' themes as well. Those seem to have no plot to speak of."

"Tsk." Jhin clicked his tongue in displeasure, speaking to Eriri with a pained and heartbroken expression: "You absolutely must not learn from those Hypnosis App stories. That stuff has directly destroyed the hypnosis and training genres. There's no gradual process at all. Just wave a phone at a girl and it's an explosion of cannon fire, a hundred or eighty different looks a day without repeating. It simply has no soul to speak of."

Such a genre was truly abominable. Where was the depth? Where was the bottom line? And where was the download link for the software?

Eriri could understand Jhin's words. During the time when the Hypnosis App genre was popular, many people said she should switch to drawing that genre as well. They asked why she insisted on hanging herself on the tree of the "Humiliation" genre with such a good art style, causing the consumption of tissues to decrease in vain.

"However," Jhin changed the subject, "I think you could try combining hypnosis with your style, Eriri. After all, the two genres don't conflict. For example, a princess whose kingdom has been breached. Under the enemy mage's hypnosis magic, she can only watch helplessly as her body performs actions beyond her conscious control. Instead, under the enhancement of the magic effects, she feels the stimulation brought by her senses even more clearly, eventually falling into depravity step by step."

"That's it! That's the one!" Eriri excitedly jumped straight up, her exquisite face full of excitement. The story Jhin told was exactly the kind of "spark" of inspiration she was lacking. A series of images had already formed in her mind. Disregarding everything else, she pulled out her drawing tablet from the drawer, picked up her stylus, and waved it continuously, her small hand moving so fast it left an afterimage in the air.

Originally pressed under Eriri's tablet, a massive quantity of sticky notes scattered all over the floor as she took the device out. Seeing her enter a state of painting as if no one else were around, Jhin skillfully took up his old trade—cleaning a girl's room.

It didn't take much time to tidy up the sticky notes. Jhin quickly stacked them neatly together. Since Eriri was still drawing seriously and he was worried about disturbing her, Jhin didn't feel it was appropriate to put the notes back into the drawer next to her. He had to temporarily place them on the small tea table, silently playing on his phone while occasionally glancing to see if Eriri had finished painting.

Jhin had seen the content on the sticky notes while collecting them. The elegant handwriting described bold play that would make ordinary girls blush just by looking at it, which was quite an eye-opener for him.

As expected of a professional doujinshi artist.

It wasn't until her own empty stomach let out a hungry growl that Eriri was forced to stop painting. She had only roughly sketched the beginning of the story: the kingdom breached, and the princess, dressed in gorgeous clothes, holding her noble, insufferably arrogant head high with an expression full of disdain, being led all the way to the magician.

Eriri recorded the rest of the story in text on a blank page to prevent herself from forgetting the subsequent plot developments. She looked back and checked the opening twice.

Admiring the princess's thighs, which looked exceptionally sexy in white lace garters while surrounded by a crowd of men, Eriri narcissistically praised herself: "As expected of me! This scene and the thigh design are just too good!"

"I think so too."

"Waaah!" Eriri was startled by the voice that suddenly appeared beside her, nearly throwing the drawing tablet into Jhin's face. She seemed to have been so immersed in painting that she completely forgot there was someone else in the room.

"Jh-Jhin, you're not allowed to look!" Eriri flusteredly reached out to turn off the computer screen, her small face flushing red, not daring to look Jhin in the eye.

Why did I just start drawing a doujinshi right in front of a boy?

Eriri knew that when she drew doujinshis, she would get too immersed in her own world. When things went smoothly, she would let out strange laughs, or when the mood struck, she would voice a few lines for the male lead or the narration. These rather terrible behaviors had likely all fallen into Jhin's eyes.

I'm done for. I was too excited for a moment and completely didn't remember Jhin was right beside me.

Now my image in his heart probably isn't just a doujinshi artist anymore. He won't think I'm a pervert too, will he? What do I do?

Jhin nonchalantly pointed to the dinner on the table: "I just went to cook, and I made a portion for you as well. Weren't you hungry? Hurry up and eat."

So he went to cook. That's good. Cooking takes time, so maybe he didn't see my strange appearance.

Eriri could only comfort herself this way; otherwise, she wouldn't know how to continue living on this planet. She stiffly picked up the bowl and chopsticks, taking small bites. Jhin also took the opportunity to leave the room while she was eating.

Under the healing power of delicious food, Eriri's panicked heart had just settled down when it was suspended in mid-air again upon spotting the sticky notes on the side of the computer desk.

Aren't those the sticky notes I put in the drawer?

Ah, it seems they fell out when I took the drawing tablet.

As expected, Jhin saw them all, didn't he?

With mixed feelings, Eriri swallowed the last mouthful of food before walking to the desk to check the sticky notes. The top note had been deliberately flipped over so the side without writing was facing up, as if explaining on Jhin's behalf that he hadn't looked at the content.

"Hmph." Faced with a defense that could be poked through at a glance, the corners of Eriri's mouth curled up. She felt that getting along with Jhin was quite relaxing; after all, he was very understanding of others.
