Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Changes Brought About By Talent

Though his talent was now maxed out, Sasuke noticed it didn't offer a dramatic shortcut for sheer physical training.

The Taijutsu taught at the academy was rudimentary—simple offensive and defensive forms. True Taijutsu prowess depended on strong physical attributes: quick reaction time, explosive speed, raw strength, and keen insight. In the end, physical skills relied most heavily on physical fitness.

Sasuke launched a series of strikes against a nearby practice stake. His mind immediately conjured countless attack patterns and split-second counter-strategies for any potential enemy response. His mind was faster than his body. A stake, however, remained a stake.

After thirty minutes of dynamic warm-ups, Sasuke's body control had intensified. He hadn't gained raw strength, but the ability to micromanage his musculature meant less power was wasted in each movement. The efficiency created the illusion of greater power and speed.

This further confirmed how monstrous the Perfect Talent was—it granted him unparalleled control over his own body. But if he truly wanted to excel in Taijutsu, he still needed the grind of dedicated physical exercise.

'It seems direct physical training will have to be a slow burn,' he mused. Just like increasing Chakra capacity, strengthening the body was a cumulative process. For now, he would prioritize the areas where his frightening talent would yield the fastest results: Chakra control and Ninjutsu.

And with that, he moved on to the Kunai Throwing Technique.

The Sharingan naturally allowed the Uchiha clan to use hidden weapons with terrifying precision. Coupled with his new talent, Sasuke expected the Kunai Throwing Technique to become his signature short-range killer skill.

He set up several stakes, stepping back twenty meters. Before even activating his Sharingan, a torrent of information flooded his brain. He saw no less than ten distinct ways to accurately hit the bull's-eye—each method utilizing a different trajectory, angle, and throwing power, each leading to a unique kind of damage. It was as if he were born with the complete knowledge of the technique.

He raised his hand and, following the instinctual knowledge in his mind, flicked the Kunai.

The blade shot out like a bullet and fiercely impacted the center of the target with a sharp clang.

Sasuke didn't hesitate. He grabbed more Kunai and threw them in a synchronized cloud. Some rotated rapidly, drawing sweeping arcs; others adjusted their posture mid-flight, tracing an S-shaped route through the air. Yet, every single blade converged on the target, filling the red center dot of the bull's-eye.

After retrieving his knives, Sasuke felt he could push the technique even further. He envisioned complex scenarios: making Kunai collide in mid-air to alter trajectories multiple times, or using steel wire to evolve into bizarre, unpredictable throws. His mind was so fertile with ideas, his hands actually ached to try them all.

For the next hour, he threw until the ground was littered with spent blades.

Sasuke sat beneath a large tree, sweat coating his brow, but a wide smile splitting his face. 'Kunai Throwing... I never knew it could be used like this!' He realized that an ordinary Jōnin, caught off guard by such complex precision, could easily be dispatched with a single, lethal strike.

Ninja combat was often about securing a one-hit kill. Even a well-placed hidden weapon could incapacitate or kill if it found a vital spot—provided it bypassed the opponent's defenses.

After a short rest, he returned to Ninjutsu.

Kunai were only useful as a surprise killer. Ninjutsu and Taijutsu were the true foundations of combat. Since Taijutsu was a slow climb, Ninjutsu offered immediate, explosive returns.

He continued his Great Fireball Technique practice. Sasuke believed that with enough Chakra backing him up, he could push an A-rank technique past the power of an S-rank jutsu. Lord Madara had done it, and with this terrifying talent, Sasuke could too.

He made a mental note to return and master all the Fire Style Ninjutsu recorded by the Uchiha clan. Previously, the effort wouldn't have been worth it. But now, his terrifying talent yielded the most amazing results in Ninjutsu. Not utilizing that gift on every available technique would be a waste.

He also needed to dedicate time to Chakra control itself. Enhancing his internal control had already brought physical changes; enhancing his external control would surely yield more surprises.

Finally, he needed to practice his seals. Itachi's sealing speed was legendary, allowing him to use near-instant Ninjutsu—and in a battle, half a second made the difference between life and death. Sasuke also wanted to master one-handed seals, freeing up the other hand for offense or defense.

'Seven days remain until the graduation exam. If I utilize these seven days fully, with my current terrifying talent, I will be completely reborn!'
