Chapter 17 - Core purpose

The strength to shatter a reef is by no means a powerful attack in this world; after all, there are formidable individuals in this world who can smash a mountain with a single punch. Dragon understood this deeply, as his own father was such a person.

But when such an attack strength is applied to a dagger, it becomes a different matter. And Luo Yan had just demonstrated the correct way to use this dagger.

Luo Yan beckoned, and a gust of wind carried the dagger back into his hand.

Dragon nodded, acknowledging Luo Yan's statement, then his expression became serious again.

"I have preliminarily confirmed your sincerity. Both the potions and the magical items can quickly enhance the Revolutionary Army's combat strength in a short period. However, I haven't determined the specific strength of the 'Beyonders' you mentioned. How much do you price the potions?"

Dragon deliberately emphasized not having determined the strength, naturally to drive down the price. Luo Yan immediately understood the implied meaning, but he had already decided on the price of the potions, so he answered almost without thinking.

"Sequence 9 potions are ten million Berries per bottle, and Sequence 8 potions are thirty million Berries per bottle. Of course, you don't need Sequence 8 potions yet. I can sell you ten bottles first, and you can decide who drinks them."

"Ten million? A devil fruit is only one hundred million."

Dragon raised an eyebrow, even his voice rising slightly. He could see the potential of the Sequence potions, but ten million for just the initial Sequence 9 potion was too expensive. He didn't want just one or two Beyonders; he wanted an army of Beyonders.

"When a devil fruit ability user dies, their ability is lost, but a Beyonder's ability can be recovered. And I can assure you that the upper limit of a Beyonder is definitely much higher than that of a devil fruit ability user, because one of the main ingredients for a Sequence 3 potion is a devil fruit. And usually, two main ingredients are needed to concoct a potion. This means a Sequence 3 Beyonder is already stronger than a devil fruit ability user. This is only Sequence 3; there are also Sequence 2 and Sequence 1 above it."

"devil fruits as main ingredients? Are you telling me this because you hope the Revolutionary Army will help you collect devil fruits?"

Dragon immediately guessed Luo Yan's purpose, and Luo Yan nodded without hiding anything. This was one of the reasons he sought cooperation with the Revolutionary Army.

High Sequence potions require a large number of devil fruits, and it's unrealistic for him alone to collect so many. So he needed to leverage a force to help him achieve this.

The Revolutionary Army is not as dark as the World Government, not as cunning as pirates, and is currently in an expansion phase, while also possessing a large amount of resources. It was undoubtedly the best choice.

"I hope the Revolutionary Army can help me collect devil fruits. I will purchase them from you at a price twenty percent higher than the market price. Of course, I need to add potion payment as one of the payment methods."

Dragon suddenly fell silent, his gaze becoming sharp. He stared intently at Luo Yan, making Luo Yan feel a little uneasy. After a long time, he finally asked a question:

"What is your purpose for going to sea?"

Luo Yan was stunned for a moment, then he laughed, his smile pure, as if without any impurities.

"I will never join the World Government's side, I can assure you of that. This is also why I came to the Revolutionary Army for cooperation. Otherwise, why wouldn't I just go directly to the World Government for cooperation? I believe the World Government is more generous than the Revolutionary Army and can collect devil fruits more efficiently."

Dragon fell silent again, and after a long time, he slowly nodded. He had been persuaded by Luo Yan.

"The Revolutionary Army will help you keep an eye out for devil fruits. Ten bottles of potion total one hundred million Berries. Additionally, I would like to purchase some magical items."

"Haha! No need to rush. I don't just want Berries. I hope the Revolutionary Army can build a ship for me. Of course, it doesn't need to be delivered in a short time; you can think of it as a pre-order. Also, I need a material that can reflect sound. I heard that you in the Revolutionary Army also have very skilled scientists."

"How about we discuss this on my ship?"

Dragon suddenly invited Luo Yan, which made Luo Yan pause, then he immediately thought of something and smiled.

"Great! I also want to see how magnificent the Revolutionary Army's ship is!"

Dragon gestured for him to proceed, then led the way. Luo Yan silently followed behind. Upon reaching the ship's side, neither of them climbed the ladder; instead, they used their wind abilities to fly directly onto the ship's deck.

As soon as he boarded the ship, Luo Yan felt countless gazes. These gazes came from the Revolutionary Army members on board, but there was no hostility or wariness in them, only curiosity.

Since Luo Yan was personally brought onto the ship by the leader, it meant that he had been acknowledged by the leader. Naturally, there could be no hostility. They were just curious why such a young man could gain the leader's recognition in such a short time.

"Shall we talk in a cabin room or here?"

"Here is fine. The sea breeze helps me stay calm."

Dragon nodded, turned to a Revolutionary Army member, and instructed, "Bring a low table and prepare some refreshments."

"Yes!"

The Revolutionary Army member immediately saluted and quickly ran into the cabin. Soon, two Revolutionary Army members brought a low table, and then another Revolutionary Army member, wearing a white chef's hat, walked over with a tray, placing pastries and tea on the low table.

Luo Yan didn't stand on ceremony. He sat cross-legged beside the low table, reached for a small cake and put it in his mouth, then picked up the teapot and poured himself a cup of tea, taking a large gulp to wash down the cake.

"The Revolutionary Army's chef is very skilled!"

Since he ate their food, he naturally had to praise it, and this was not an exaggeration. Luo Yan genuinely found the cake delicious; it was definitely the best cake he had eaten since his transmigration.

Dragon smiled, sat cross-legged opposite Luo Yan, picked up the teapot, and poured himself a cup, but did not drink it.

"How many magical items do you have? And what are their prices?"

Dragon didn't beat around the bush and went straight to the point. Luo Yan wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, chuckled, and took another sip of tea.

"I plan to sell five magical items. Two correspond to Sequence 9, each costing twelve million Berries. One corresponds to Sequence 8, costing thirty-four million Berries. One corresponds to Sequence 7, eighty million Berries, and one corresponds to Sequence 6, two hundred million Berries. Of course, this is just my asking price; you can haggle, or choose not to buy if you don't find them useful. I don't mind either way."

Dragon glanced at the box Luo Yan had placed by his feet and nodded, "Are they all in that box?"

"That's right."

Luo Yan opened the box without hesitation and took out five items: a silver ring inlaid with a large pearl, a sheer glove that exposed the fingers, a black metal rod slightly longer than a chopstick, a red wristguard, and a bowl
