A mischievous gleam sparked in my eye. Rockwell had been the most stubborn of the ten, demanding three months of negotiations before conceding. My heart performed a small, victorious dance. "Three down. Seven more to go." I turned to face Mr. Wang. "You can tell his PA we will be there. Secure a table at Le Monarque.


He adjusted his glasses. "Also, Ma'am, Mr. Takahashi has confirmed the meeting for this afternoon as scheduled."


Ayato Takahashi. This old fox! I thought, a frown creasing my brow. Something's quite amiss, but I'd rather till a swamp than infertile land. I settled onto my chair massager. "Tell him we'll be there at 5:00 PM sharp."
