[Yukinoshita Haruno's Advanced Assessment (Part 1)] (Settling...)

Request Content: Your and Yukinoshita Yukino's... Expand Details

Note 1: Yukinoshita Haruno will alter her method of contact with you based on your investigation results.

Note 2: This is a series request. The completion status of each stage will affect the content and progress of subsequent requests.

(Gold) Note 3: Yukinoshita Haruno's gaze is always fixed on her younger sister, yet she neglects herself in the process. Perhaps you can do something about this.

Watching Haruno's wish power request enter the settlement state, Mori Shinra couldn't help but reach up and stroke his chin.

This works too?

Mori Shinra originally thought that this request from Yukinoshita Haruno would only enter the settlement state after Yukino had given some specific feedback.

But from the looks of it... that doesn't seem necessary?

So it really was just an investigation request?

Wait, if this is how it's handled... will there still be follow-up requests?

However, the settlement had already begun, so it was too late for regrets.

Besides, this was the solution Mori Shinra had thought of from the beginning; he just hadn't expected Haruno to settle the request before seeing the results.

She completely disregarded martial ethics.

Compared to Mori Shinra's internal conflict, Yukinoshita Haruno was more focused on thinking about what Mori Shinra had just said.

What does he mean, 'Aren't I already doing it?'

So your method for helping my sister overcome her past trauma of being bullied, change her awkward personality, and move towards independence... is to try and woo her?

...The key thing is, this guy might actually become my brother-in-law.

Yukinoshita Haruno knew very well that the old Yukino would never have invited a boy home alone, let alone wear a sports outfit and work herself into a sweaty, breathless state in front of a male peer.

All signs indicated that her little sister was falling.

But if you were to ask if this method was effective?

It was, and remarkably so.

For a moment, Haruno wasn't sure if she should let Mori Shinra continue.

It's a case of the sis-con left brain fighting the sis-con right brain.

Just like that, the two, each harboring their own ulterior motives, simultaneously fell silent.

After Yukinoshita Yukino finished showering in the master bathroom, dried her hair, and changed into clean loungewear, she came out and saw the two in the living room sitting in mutual, polite silence, neither one speaking.

She was momentarily baffled.

Did they... have a fight?

This was the first thought that popped into Yukinoshita Yukino's mind.

In her view, neither her sister nor Mori Shinra was the type to let a conversation drop.

Yet now, neither of them was talking.

The living room was as quiet as could be.

Aside from the possibility that the two had a disagreement about something, there was likely no other explanation.

"Are you two performing a mime act?" Yukinoshita Yukino broke the silence in the living room.

"No, I was just thinking," Mori Shinra replied.

Mori Shinra was wondering if Haruno would continue to give him requests. Haruno was wondering if she should continue to give Mori Shinra requests.

In a way, they were on the same wavelength.

"Did God laugh?"

What an impertinent Yukinoshita!

Mori Shinra shot a look at Haruno, as if to say, 'Aren't you going to control your sister?'

Yukinoshita Haruno pretended not to see.

"Should we all go out to eat together later?"

Yukino didn't answer directly, but instead looked at Mori Shinra.

Why is she looking at me? Is there food on my face?

Sensing the rising negative emotions from the person beside him, Mori Shinra cleared his throat. "It's rare for you sisters to reunite. I shouldn't intrude. I'll be going now."

Unexpectedly, Yukinoshita Yukino suddenly spoke up, "Wait. There's no need to go out to eat. Didn't we buy too many groceries this morning? It should be enough even with my sister joining."

"Morning? Us? Grocery shopping?" Yukinoshita Haruno keenly caught the keywords, looking at Mori Shinra with a half-smile.

"Don't tell me you two often go grocery shopping and cook together?"

"That's not a thing."

"Just for the past few days."

Mori Shinra and Yukinoshita Yukino answered one after the other.

Yukino then showed a puzzled expression, as if asking Mori Shinra why there was any need to hide that.

They were perfectly innocent. Could her sister possibly misunderstand?

She really wasn't misunderstanding.

Seeing her sister being so frank, Yukinoshita Haruno immediately guessed the whole story.

"Mori Shinra is making you a training plan and supervising your practice, and in return, Yukino, you are providing him with meals."

"That's right."

"In that case, why don't you let your big sister cook?" Haruno suddenly became interested.

Without waiting for the other two to reply, she went to the kitchen area, opened the refrigerator, and began picking out ingredients for tonight's dinner.

Watching Haruno bustling in the kitchen, Mori Shinra asked curiously, "Your sister cooks too?"

"She's a little better than I am," Yukino stated truthfully.

As the larger version of Yukino, Yukinoshita Haruno was also skilled in the culinary arts, and her cooking tasted even better than Yukino's.

Hearing Yukino say this, Mori Shinra was immediately filled with respect.

In his opinion, Yukino's cooking was already delicious enough.

He hadn't expected there to be an even greater master.

And this master was the seemingly unreliable Yukinoshita Haruno.

It was hard to imagine what kind of person the mother who raised these two sisters was.

But before Mori Shinra could ask this question, Yukinoshita Yukino dropped a "I'm going to help" and joined the cooking brigade.

The two sisters worked together, and soon the dishes were ready and served on the dining table.

The three sat in a triangle formation.

Mori Shinra and Yukino sat facing each other, while Haruno sat in the host's seat between them.

Yukinoshita Yukino hadn't lied.

Haruno's cooking, whether in terms of heat control or seasoning, was indeed a notch above Yukino's.

But for some reason, Mori Shinra still preferred Yukino's cooking.

How to describe Haruno's food... the overall flavor was indeed better than Yukino's, but it felt like something was missing, a bit too formulaic.

Of course, it was also possible that Mori Shinra had just gotten used to Yukino's cooking over the past few days and eating someone else's felt a bit strange.

At the dinner table, Haruno once again brought up tomorrow's banquet.

"Are you really not going back?"

"Isn't your presence enough, Sister?"

When Yukinoshita Yukino said this, Mori Shinra keenly sensed a violent fluctuation in the emotions of both sisters simultaneously.

Yukino's reaction was understandable, but what was going on with Haruno?

I sense some juicy gossip.

Mori Shinra silently activated One Leaf Blocks the Eye, planning to hide himself and quietly see if the two sisters would reveal any more useful information.

It was possible that a key clue to both of their golden requests was hidden within.

Sure enough, after Mori Shinra activated the ability, Yukino and Haruno seemed to completely forget he was even there and continued their conversation without pausing.

"If you really wanted me to go, Mother would be the one here now, not you, sister, right?"
