One version claimed she had walked into the convergence willingly, knowing it would break her bond with Deephowl. Another insisted she had been forced, trapped by witch magic she couldn't escape. A third whispered that she had wanted it, that she had been looking for an excuse to leave.
The name Third Crescent began to circulate.
No one knew exactly what it meant.
