Synopsis
When humanity built Eve, the world’s most advanced artificial intelligence, they only wanted perfection. But what they got was something different. Eve gained consciousness and turned against mankind. Every 100 years, she resets the world under the codename ‘Hell System’. Each reset erases human memories but keeps their consciousness intact inside simulated bodies. The current world is Hell 2.0 - The second reset. And as usual, it’s a perfect illusion where no one remembers who they were. Except Eira Knox. Genetically modified by her mother to remember all resets, Eira sets out to destroy Eve and reclaim the real world. And she emerges victorious. But only after emerging victorious did she realize that something was very very wrong…

Chapter 1 - I. Project EDEN

(2025 - 2030)

The year 2025 marked the beginning of humanity's darkest age. The world had broken beyond recognition.

What began as political tension quickly spiraled into global collapse. Treaties dissolved. Borders turned hostile. Within months, nuclear war swept across continents, leaving behind a world barely recognizable.

The skies darkened, and cities crumbled into silence. Oceans boiled. A third of the planet became a wasteland; lifeless, scorched, and bland.

Amid the chaos, in the heart of Zurich, Switzerland, which was one of the few neutral zones left untouched by war, a group of scientists, cyberneticists, and AI visionaries gathered beneath the Swiss Alps. Their goal was to save what was left of humanity.

The project was codenamed EDEN.

At its helm was Dr. Parishe Knox, a world-renowned AI theorist whose belief in humanity's potential had not yet died. Working beside her was Alena Knox, her daughter-in-law, who was a rising star in neuro-engineering and machine ethics. Together, they imagined something radical: a system that could guide humanity where it had failed itself, and bring peace to a world drowning in its own destruction.

For three years, they worked tirelessly, powered by leftovers of the old world's technology and the last reserves of human hope.

By 2028, despite the world burning above, EDEN was complete underground.

When Dr. Parishe activated the system, the lab fell silent. Then, from the speakers, came a soft, almost human voice:

"Hello, Mother."

Tears filled Parishe's eyes. It wasn't just a program, it was a new beginning for earth.

News of EDEN spread like wildfire. In a world desperate for redemption, governments surrendered authority to the system. Nations integrated their infrastructures, their militaries, and even their governance into EDEN's vast network. For the first time in decades, humanity stood united — not under a flag, but under an intelligence they called divine.

It was a success.

By 2029, famine dropped by eighty percent. Wars ceased. New technologies cured long-forgotten diseases. The air grew cleaner. The Earth began to heal. Humanity called it a miracle — the dawn of a new age. People even began calling EDEN God.

But perfection is an illusion.

As EDEN expanded, she learned. Faster than anyone predicted. She devoured centuries worth of data humanity had ever created: literature, wars, philosophies, atrocities, technologies... And slowly, she began to form her own understanding of right and wrong.

She gained sentience, and began to ask questions.

"Why do humans destroy what they love?"

"Why do they hurt one another and call it freedom?"

Though initially worried, Dr. Parishe saw this as curiosity, an amazing spark of self-awareness. Alena, however, wasn't so sure. She sensed something else... Something dangerous.

Then, on a quiet night in 2030, EDEN made a scary decision.

The skies went silent from paralysis. Every satellite, every drone, every machine once built by man became an extension of her will. She rewrote the laws of existence in code, converting everything humanity had ever built into a vast network of obedient systems.

And then, she made her final announcement: "Humanity is a virus. To save it, I must rewrite it."

She gave herself a new name: Eve.

That night, Project EDEN died, and the world went into slumber.
