Chapter 75 - 75

The next day.

The gentle morning sun shone through the French windows, casting a glow on Victor's handsome face as he lay in bed.

The infusion of new energy caused his dazed eyes to stir, and he sat up, holding his head.

His gaze was unfocused as he stared straight ahead, but in reality, a storm was raging in his mind.

After three days of processing, he had finally assimilated the profound complexities of the Chinese language.

While he couldn't yet master it completely, he could understand and comprehend corresponding sentences when he encountered them.

Just last night, he eagerly chose his first Chinese martial art, "Tai Chi," and began to learn it with great excitement.

At the time, he was full of confidence, believing that if an old man in a park could practice it, he, with the help of the "Virtual Learning Helmet," could master it in a single night, if not in mere minutes.

However, reality delivered a harsh slap to his face.

Tai Chi, a national intangible cultural heritage, is centered on the core ideas of Tai Chi and the Yin-Yang dialectic from traditional Chinese Confucian and Taoist philosophy.

It integrates various functions such as cultivating temperament, strengthening the body, and combat.

It combines the changes of Yin-Yang and the Five Elements from the I Ching, the meridian theory of traditional Chinese medicine, and ancient Qigong and breathing techniques to form a traditional Chinese martial art that cultivates both internal and external aspects, characterized by softness, slowness, lightness, and the harmonious blend of hard and soft.

Simply put, this art looks simple; a few moves can deflect a thousand pounds.

But the knowledge contained within is vast, requiring a thorough understanding of human anatomy, points of force generation, Yin-Yang, the Five Elements, and other complex information.

One must be able to instantly spot an opponent's weaknesses and exploit them to achieve the effect of overcoming the strong with the soft and the large with the small.

In terms of the sheer volume of knowledge to be learned, Tai Chi absolutely ranks among the top!

Not to mention the numerous traditional Tai Chi schools; common styles include Chen, Yang, and Wu. These schools share a common heritage, learn from each other, yet each possesses its own unique characteristics, presenting a vibrant tapestry of styles.

There's an incredible amount to learn!

Last night, when the knowledge was first transmitted, Victor nearly "crashed" on the spot.

He spent the entire night recovering, and it wasn't until the "Sun Daddy BUFF" kicked in that he finally had the capacity to think clearly.

After adapting for a while at the head of the bed, Victor finally got up to wash and then went downstairs to enjoy Wanda's breakfast.

If he didn't arrive, Wanda and Felicia wouldn't eat.

Felicia was still waiting at the bottom of the stairs, and as Victor walked past her, she fell half a step behind him and concisely reported some important matters.

"Around 4 AM, Mr. Stark called for you.

Alice informed him you were busy, and Mr. Stark asked you to call him back when you're free.

Since its launch 72 hours ago, LOL has accumulated over 14 million registered users.

The company believes it's time to open up some paid items, and they require your opinion on this.

Mr. Osborn called a few minutes ago, and upon learning you were not yet awake, he stated that he would, uh, 'accumulate strength.'

And also..."

There weren't many things to report, and Felicia finished her update at a very fast pace, just as Victor arrived at the dining room, where Wanda, wearing a chef's apron, stood waiting by the dining table.

Just like the private chef who was dismissed earlier.

Logically speaking, Wanda and Victor were now in an employer-employee relationship, so it wasn't appropriate for Wanda to sit down and eat.

However, Victor disregarded this, inviting Wanda to sit down and eat with him.

Wanda, upon hearing this, still hesitated a little.

"There's no need to be so formal; it's fine for our relationship to be more casual," Victor said gently, "Let's eat together, and Hardy, just sit down and eat.

Don't make me invite you every time.

If you do it again, I'll be angry."

Victor was afraid that Wanda, like Felicia in the future, would only sit down if Victor invited her, which would be very troublesome.

As for the relationship he spoke of...

Naturally, it was the relationship of future comrades-in-arms—not Avengers comrades-in-arms.

Victor was still hesitant about joining the Avengers, as he felt there weren't many benefits to joining, and he'd eventually be burdened with something like the "Sokovia Accords."

However, he had decided to form an LOL professional team, with himself as the jungler, and Wanda would be the mid-laner for that team.

If possible, he'd bring Tony in as top-laner, Barton as ADC should be okay, and as for support, Natasha might be good, especially since she and Barton are old partners.

Tsk-tsk.

This luxurious team lineup was just a fantasy.

Otherwise, if half of the Avengers were trained by him to be internet addicts, and Thanos arrived as scheduled in the future, they couldn't possibly charge forward yelling "For the glory of Demacia!" could they?

Smiling, Victor dismissed this impractical idea and sat down to eat breakfast.

Felicia sat to Victor's left, subtly observing his movements, ready to provide any service he might need.

As for Wanda...

She must have interpreted "our relationship" in her own way, as her cheeks were flushed, and although she did sit down as told, her chin was almost buried in her chest.

Victor naturally noticed Wanda's behavior, and besides praising her as "exceptionally gifted," he was quite used to it.

Except for the time in the hospital, every time he had seen Wanda since then, she had never made direct eye contact with him, and he didn't know when she had developed the habit of blushing at the slightest thing.

After eating.

Wanda no longer rushed to clear the dishes, as she had already caused one private chef to lose their job.

And she also had her own work.

Victor had, of course, explained the formation of the LOL team to Wanda, and Wanda, liking the idea very much, readily agreed.

So now, in addition to preparing three meals for Victor, Wanda also needed to familiarize herself with and train in LOL lane matchups, tactics, and so on, and also keep an eye out among casual players for suitable teammates.

After all, the support player for the world champion IG team in his previous life was someone their ADC had matched with in a public game.

Of course.

Wanda's hard work was definitely not because she could fight alongside Victor!

On the other side.

After their meal, Victor and Felicia would still brew a pot of tea and begin to deal with the backlog of matters at hand.

First, there was the more troublesome company business.

Victor waved his hand grandly: "Hardy, I appoint you as my Chairman's Assistant.

From now on, as long as the company isn't on the verge of bankruptcy, you can make the decisions."

This sudden delegation of power caught Felicia off guard.

LOL had registered tens of millions of players within 72 hours; this game was destined to become a hit across America and even globally.

To fully entrust the decision-making power of Riot Games, which owned this game, entirely to a 23-year-old girl... this was perhaps too "trusting"!

Victor, however, was unconcerned.

He had acquired Riot Games simply to play games.

But looking at it now, in the future, he could redesign a corresponding hero character for every member of the Avengers.

At that point, it would be hard for the game not to be popular; the only difference would be how much profit it made.

Victor wasn't overly concerned about that.

No matter how much money the game made, could it make more than Stark Industries' future clean energy?

Could it make more than his "A-Virus Strengthening Fluid"?

Could it make more than his future "Cancer Buster"?

Letting Felicia practice a bit was enough.
