Chapter 73 - 73

Tony, enraged by being called "Dad," wanted to trace the identity of the person on the other end of the internet.

However, Jarvis's answer was "NO."

league of legends was run and maintained by Alice, and all its core content was protected by Alice; it would be a miracle if Jarvis could break through.

Tony was furious; his pride wouldn't allow him to fall behind others, so he immediately dove into his laboratory, vowing not to leave until he upgraded Jarvis!

The perspective shifts back to Victor.

He was currently flying to New York on Norman's private plane, and at the same time Jarvis's invasion failed, Alice also issued a warning to Victor.

Victor initially thought Tony didn't trust his previous statements and was preparing to find information himself—just like Tony invaded S.H.I.E.L.D. in "Avengers 1."

But after understanding the whole story, Victor was somewhat exasperated.

It proved that one should not be too arrogant when playing games; you never know if the person you're flaming might be America's richest man, or a friend of the game's owner.

Casually having Alice ban "Tony Shi Da Ke (Tony Sh*t Star)," Victor called Tony, preparing to mock him.

However, the call didn't connect.

He wasn't blacklisted, and a check of Tony's LOL account showed he wasn't logged in.

So he must be buried in upgrading his suit, or Jarvis

Wanda, sitting beside Victor, saw this and asked with concern, "What's wrong? Did Mr. Stark get beaten by a noob again?"

This trip to New York, besides Felicia accompanying him, Wanda also successfully replaced the original private chef with her excellent cooking skills, thus getting to follow him to New York.

"Haha, this matter is quite interesting, let me tell you..."

Victor showed no mercy in spilling the beans about Tony.

Wanda, after all, had hated Tony for many years, and hearing about Tony's amusing "defeat" made her laugh with great gusto.

Her movements made Victor's eyes constantly drift.

Noticing Victor's gaze, Wanda also realized she was exposed, and hurriedly lowered her head to straighten her clothes, blushing, not daring to make eye contact with Victor.

Victor awkwardly coughed and closed his eyes, pretending to nap.

Felicia, who was serving as a background plate behind them, saw this, and a hint of loss flashed in her eyes; she still yearned for the love between Tony and Pepper...

Washington, S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters, in Pierce's top-floor office.

Pierce held a report detailing the entire "Stark internal conflict," with Phil Coulson listed as the investigator at the end.

After examining it for a moment, Pierce turned the page of the report, his gaze fixed on a file containing Victor's photo.

Compared to Tony's extensive report, this file had few words.

--------

Victor, male, suspected male interests, unknown origin, appeared at Los Angeles airport on 2008.04.12, subsequently contacted V14 monitoring point, confirmed to possess the ability of "Mutant Ability transfer," then arrived in New York... Confirmed as the "superman" who appeared in the "Stark internal conflict" incident, possessing Advanced defensive capabilities and telekinetic abilities.

The target's current attitude is unknown, close monitoring is recommended.

--------

Pierce stared at this document for a long time, but his gaze was unfocused; no one knew what he was thinking.

After a long while.

Pierce came back to his senses and pressed a button on the phone on his desk.

A few minutes later.

A knock sounded, and Sitwell, with a fine sheen of sweat, jogged in, respectfully saying, "Councilor Pierce, what are your orders?"

Pierce did not answer immediately.

He pressed a button under his desk, and after waiting a few seconds with no unusual movement, he spoke in a deep voice.

"Mobilize our people in the military and try to get Tony Stark to hand over the new energy technology himself."

"Yes!" Sitwell nodded respectfully, then carefully asked, "What about the Iron Man suit technology?"

"The primary goal is new energy. Tony Stark's set is too expensive and has no value for widespread promotion. The 'iron monger' prototype is enough for us to arm ourselves; what we lack is the driving energy," Pierce explained with a frown.

How could this subordinate be so stupid!

Seeing Pierce's displeasure, Sitwell quickly nodded and bowed, not daring to ask any more questions.

Pierce pondered for a few seconds and continued to instruct, "Have Rumlow transfer some of our people from the Rapid Response Special Forces. Fury sent Agent Romanoff to infiltrate Stark's side; intercept and copy her reports. Perhaps we'll have a chance to get what we want."

With the mission delivered, Pierce dismissed Sitwell, then rose and stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, looking down at Washington.

His heart was burning with ambition.

The Super Soldier program had been progressing poorly; that fool Ross couldn't even catch a green-skinned monster, and even though his daughter had captured the target, he insisted on using force.

Simply idiotic!

Now it's good.

The original design blueprints for the "iron monger" have been obtained. As long as the problem of the driving energy is solved, then when Insight Project is launched in the future, the military aspect will be more secure.

He, Pierce, would accomplish a feat that no previous HYDRA had been able to achieve, making HYDRA the sole ruler of this world!

An ideal nation with no divisions of country, no divisions of race, only faith in HYDRA!!

...After several hours of flying, when the private plane landed at New York airport, it was exactly sunset.

The knowledge crammed into his brain had just been digested not long ago. He didn't continue to absorb knowledge; he needed to remain sufficiently clear-headed to face that old fox, Norman.

He disembarked from the plane.

A young Norman, accompanied by a group of people, came to greet him at the plane, a radiant smile on his face as he approached Victor.

"Welcome back! Good news, Stark Industries' stock has surged, and you are now also a hundred-billionaire!"

Victor nodded faintly, indicating he knew.

Currently, he held 27% of Stark Industries' shares, making him the second-largest shareholder after Tony's 71%.

Norman this time truly carried out Victor's orders to the letter; he sold all of his Oscorp Industries shares, converting them all into Stark Industries shares, and even the remaining Osborn Tower was transferred to Victor's name.

Norman could now be said to be completely unencumbered.

This was also why Victor returned to New York early; regardless of Norman's motives, he had indeed given his all to complete the task, and Victor couldn't keep him hanging.

After instructing Felicia to take Wanda back to the villa in Manhattan's Upper East Side to prepare dinner, Victor and Norman rode together to Osborn Tower.

The journey was silent.

Arriving at the 107th floor of Osborn Tower, which was originally the gathering place for Oscorp Industries' board of directors, but was cleared out by Victor with a single command.

This might also be one of the reasons Norman simply sold all of his Osborn shares.

He had thoroughly offended the major shareholders, and after multiple sales, his shareholding was already minimal, and his position as chairman was precarious.

It was better to just sell everything off and then kick out those board members who gave him dirty looks.

He had bet everything he had.

Now.

It was time to reveal whether he won or lost!
