Chapter 69 - 69

Dizzily, I washed up and instinctively headed to the dining room for food.

Unexpectedly, Tony was also in his own dining room.

And this guy was actually eating at the same table with Wanda and Pietro.

"Hey buddy, you're finally awake." Tony raised an eyebrow, "Wanda's cooking is really good, just a little bit worse than Pepper's."

Wanda and Pietro showed no reaction to this, eating their meals in silence.

Victor blinked in confusion, casting a questioning look at Felicia nearby.

Felicia whispered, "Mr. Stark brought some news. It's about Obadiah Stane's private large-scale arms dealing records, including those of the terrorists who attacked Sokovia. Plus, Obadiah Stane's unexpected death..."

Oh, so that's how it was.

The misunderstanding was cleared, and there was no longer any hatred between them. Moreover, Tony had indirectly helped them get revenge.

Eating at the same table was now understandable.

But... "I say, Tony, why aren't you eating at your own home?" Victor asked suspiciously.

"You know, Pepper is handling the aftermath, and I don't want takeout, so I came here." Tony swallowed a mouthful of preserved egg and lean pork porridge, "Oh, right, there's a press conference tomorrow. As Superman and Stark Industries' second-largest shareholder, will you be attending?"

"Also, Iron Man is such a corny name."

When Tony said this,

Wanda and Pietro's gazes involuntarily turned to Victor.

Wanda's gaze quickly retracted, her small face flushed.

Pietro's gaze, however, was filled with gratitude. Clearly, Tony had also explained that Obadiah was ultimately "defeated" by Victor.

Sitting at the head of the table, Victor made a declaration while Felicia was serving porridge.

"I don't like to talk while eating. That's a rule in my house. We can talk about business after dinner."

Tony raised an eyebrow, about to retort, but ultimately just wiggled his lips, mumbled, "Not old, but so many rules," and then sped up his eating.

After a quiet dinner,

In the second living room, Victor was brewing a pot of Da Hong Pao tea, with Tony sitting opposite him. Felicia stood by, reporting on work.

"Regarding today's midday news, it has already gone viral online. Here are some of the articles I collected." Felicia held up a tablet for Victor to view.

"Henry Cavill, Mutant Identity Exposed!"

"America's Richest Man Doing This on the Street..."

"Iron Man, a Superhero Guarding America Alongside Superman!"

"Stark Industries' Another Powerful 'Weapon' to Strengthen America!"

"The Playboy's Counterattack: Tony Stark Incarnates as a Superhero to Protect Los Angeles!"

"Warner Company Statement: Superhero 'Superman' Suspected of Copyright Infringement, Will Reserve Full Right to Sue!"

...These were all expected news. The only thing unexpected was Tony's identity being exposed prematurely.

It seems that the classic line "I am Iron Man" from the movie might not be heard.

However, Cavill became very popular again because of this incident, which I forgot to consider before.

But it's not a big problem.

Also.

Warner Company's statement clearly meant trouble. They hadn't bought the copyright before, and now there was a small problem.

"Hmm, Tony will handle this matter. You don't need to interfere," Victor instructed.

Tony, sitting opposite, snorted lightly, savoring his tea, looking quite refined.

This surprised Victor a little. The Young Master actually understood some Dao of tea, he had thought he would gulp it down like Felicia.

Felicia then reported on some matters concerning Riot Games (Fist Company). The league of legends game would be officially released tomorrow, April 12th.

"Oh, right." Victor looked at Tony, "I have a character named 'Victor' in my game. How about I change his prototype to you?"

"Use me as a game character?" Tony thought for a few seconds, "I've seen that league of legends game. It's a bit rough, but the gameplay is interesting. I'll consider it."

"Alright, Hardy, prepare the authorization letter. Then give it to Pepper to have Tony sign it," Victor decided.

"Hey, hey, I only said I'd consider it!" Tony retorted, dissatisfied.

Victor ignored him and continued to give instructions.

"Also get the game copyright for Superman. Find a suitable hero to modify, and complete the revision before the official release tomorrow."

Felicia meticulously took notes, and only spoke when Victor paused: "Regarding the Superman copyright, what about the price, in your opinion?"

"Just go with normal game licensing. Let Norman handle this."

"Okay."

"For hero creation, find Alice. It has relevant software and can complete the reset very quickly," Victor instructed again.

"Yes."

After discussing some other trivial matters, Felicia exited the second living room to get busy.

Leaving Victor and Tony alone.

Victor used his telekinesis to lift the teapot, poured another cup of tea for the dark-faced Tony, and asked, "I will go to tomorrow's press conference, but I won't reveal my identity. I won't steal your thunder."

"What, afraid Warner will sue you for copyright infringement?" Tony smirked, "I have a team of lawyers. I can lend you a few for free. Plus, regarding the Iron Man authorization, you cooperate with me for a comprehensive test."

"Forget the lawyers. The test is fine, I'm quite curious about my own abilities anyway." Victor readily agreed, "Have you found anything about the 12 mercenaries?"

At this, Tony's brows furrowed tightly.

His fingers, gripping the teacup, turned slightly white. He said in a low voice, "They're all dead! Their bodies were stuffed into the sewers. By the time they were found, they had been gnawed beyond recognition. The trail is broken."

Saying this, Tony stared intently at Victor, enunciating each word: "You definitely know something. Stane's attack this time wasn't that simple. Tell me, who is the organization behind it?"

"I can only say it has nothing to do with me." Victor sipped his hot tea, "For the specifics, you can ask the big Egghead (Nickname for Nick Fury) who will come looking for you later. He might know something, but whether he'll tell you is another matter."

"Can't you just tell me directly?" Tony had a hurt expression, "We're friends now, aren't we?"

"Even brothers settle accounts clearly. Exchange your miniature arc reactor blueprints, and I'll give you this information." Victor made an outrageous demand.

"Damn it!" Tony almost jumped up, "Are you sure your information is that valuable?"

Victor drank his tea, not responding.

Tony curled his lips in disdain, "Hmph, without you, I can find out myself."

The miniature arc reactor was related to many things, and Tony certainly wouldn't give it up. Victor's condition was a refusal to provide information.

Tony didn't insist either.

Everyone has their own secrets, just like Tony's miniature arc reactor. Even the closest people cannot easily share it.

He could understand that.

The air was silent for half a minute.

Tony finally, solemnly, brought up the real reason for his visit today.

"Victor, tell me, who exactly are you? And why are you approaching me?"
