Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Enclose, Murciélago!

High-Speed Regeneration.

A skill possessed by some Hollows. Normally, when a Hollow becomes an Arrancar, they give up this ability in exchange for greater offensive power.

But Ulquiorra kept it.

As long as Kaien continued channeling Ulquiorra, any part of his body—except for internal organs and the brain—could regenerate in an instant. So for Kaien, this kind of injury wasn't much different from taking no damage at all.

"What?!"

"Impossible!"

"It healed?!"

Everyone watching was stunned. There were countless types of magic in the world, but none of them had ever heard of magic that could heal this fast.

"You… monster…"

Even Camille was shaken. As if Kaien's speed, power, offensive magic, and devastating destructive force weren't enough—he even had immortality. Camille had never encountered such a monster before.

"Your magic… it must be Full Reflection, right?"

Kaien stared at Camille. Two attacks had been launched, and both had been reflected back at him—he'd already roughly figured it out.

"Not bad, kid. You figured it out with just two shots. That's right! My magic is Full Reflection. No matter the magic or the attack—it can't touch me. But I can attack you all I want."

"What?! That's so unfair!!"

Elfman couldn't believe it. How were they supposed to beat an enemy like this?

"Kid, now you understand the gap between us. You're strong—fast, powerful, with an absurd regeneration ability—but you can't lay a finger on me."

"You're using Take Over Magic, right? That means all your power comes from the one you've taken over. Once your magic runs out and the transformation ends—you'll die. Hahahaha!"

Camille burst into wild laughter. Killing ordinary mages was boring—but killing a genius like Kaien? That was his favorite kind of thrill. Nothing excited him more than destroying someone everyone called a prodigy. That was how he proved he was the greatest.

Just then, Elfman rushed in front of Kaien.

"You're not getting past me!"

Kaien patted him on the shoulder. "Relax. There's no need to worry so much. He talks big, but it's just for show. Full Reflection sounds unbeatable, but that doesn't mean he is."

"If he were truly strong, he wouldn't just be standing there. He would've rushed me and ended it already."

"And Full Reflection might be strong—but it's not perfect. Otherwise, you wouldn't be a stray dog."

Camille's expression turned cold. "Tch. You're calm for a kid. Yes, my reflection has a limit. If the power exceeds a certain threshold, I can't reflect it… but can you break that threshold? That last attack was already your strongest, right?"

"My attacks can't hurt you… but how long can you last?"

"Three minutes," Kaien answered without hesitation.

"Eh—?!"

Elfman was stunned. 'Why would you just say that?! Isn't that a bit too honest?!'

"Three minutes? Hahahaha!! Kid, then enjoy your last three minutes alive!!"

Camille laughed even louder now. He'd expected Kaien to last thirty minutes, maybe even a few hours. But only three minutes?

Elfman's expression turned grim. He had to decide.

"Kaien, when the time comes, run. Don't look back. I'll hold him off."

He was ready to use Beast King Take Over—but if he did, he might lose control again. A year ago, he had lost his sister, Lisanna, because he tried to force that form. He didn't want to lose another guildmate.

At that moment, Kaien spoke calmly:

"Three minutes… is enough."

Camille narrowed his eyes. "What did you say?"

Kaien didn't respond. He slowly raised his Zanpakutō, pointing it at Camille, and softly chanted his Resurrección release:

"Enclose… Murciélago!"

HUMMMMMMMM—!!

The sky darkened in an instant, and Kaien erupted with a terrifying surge of spiritual pressure.

"Whoaahh!!"

Elfman was blown back by the sheer force of it.

Black spiritual energy rained from the sky like droplets.

Everyone instinctively looked up.

"Black rain?"

Camille frowned. He considered trying to reflect the falling droplets but didn't sense any threat, so he let them fall.

Soon, one of the black droplets landed on his face—and he immediately realized something was off.

"This isn't water… it's condensed magical energy in liquid form!"

The black rain faded quickly.

Kaien's form had completely transformed.

He now wore a pure white robe, a double-horned white helmet, and his black hair had grown longer. The tear marks on his face were darker, more pronounced. Most striking of all—a pair of massive black bat-like wings spread behind him.

This was Ulquiorra's Resurrección: First Stage.

Kaien radiated an aura of overwhelming dominance.

Camille felt a deep, primal sense of danger—this power reminded him of the monsters among the Ten Wizard Saints.

"Don't waver. Hold your stance. Stay focused. Don't let your guard down even for a second."

Kaien's cold eyes locked onto Camille—eyes that looked at him as if he were already dead.

Camille snapped. "Huh?! What the hell are you mumbling, brat?! You haven't even touched me yet and you think I'm the one losing composure?! You've got less than a minute left!! You should be the one panicking! Just wait till your time's up and I tear you apart!"

Kaien replied flatly, "One minute… is enough."
