Jay POV

I woke up to the soft hum of the morning sunlight sneaking past the curtains.

My head was comfortably resting on Keifer's chest, his steady heartbeat vibrating through me like a metronome I didn't want to stop hearing. For a second, I forgot everything—the drama, the chaos, the constant threat of someone trying to ruin my life. Just the two of us.

I gently sat up, careful not to disturb him, and leaned down for a quick peck on his lips. He groaned softly, burying his face in my hair, and I couldn't help the smile that spread across my face. "Morning, idiot," I whispered, brushing a stray lock of hair from his eyes.

He muttered something in response that sounded suspiciously like a complaint, but I didn't care. It was our morning, and nothing else existed yet.

Sliding out of bed, I tiptoed to the dresser. My reflection stared back at me—messy hair, sleepy eyes, but a smirk forming because I knew I could destroy the day with just one look.

Today felt like chaos incarnate, and I was ready for it.

By the time I reached the kitchen, Keifer was already sipping his coffee like he owned the universe. Typical. I smiled, leaning against the counter, and waited for the storm to arrive.

It didn't take long. Keigen and Keiren were already there, glaring daggers in my direction, shoving pancakes onto their plates like they were preparing for war. Sunday mornings were supposed to be calm, but apparently, peace didn't exist in Watson Villa.

Keifer raised an eyebrow at me. "Brace yourself," he said, deadpan.

I rolled my eyes. Oh, I'm more than ready.

I walked into the kitchen, hair messy, one sock missing, and a grin that promised disaster. Keifer was already there, sipping his coffee like he owned the world. Perfect. Just the audience I wanted.

Then I saw them: Keigen and Keiren, glaring daggers in my direction, forks poised like tiny weapons. They thought they could intimidate me. Cute.

I slid into my seat and gave them a slow, sharp look. "Good morning, boys," I said sweetly, like sugar coating venom.

Keigen smirked. "So… you're the girl living here now?"

I leaned forward, elbows on the table, eyes glinting. "Yep. And I'm planning to make breakfast memorable."

Keiren snorted. "Memorable? That's cute. Thought it would be… peaceful."

I tilted my head. "Peaceful? Oh, honey, you must be confusing me with someone else. Peaceful went out the window the second you two decided to exist."

Keifer just sipped his coffee, lips twitching, clearly loving this, silent and smug.

Keigen (trying to sound intimidating): "You don't even look like you belong here."

Me (grinning): "Oh, I belong just fine. Unlike Keigen, who thinks chewing pancakes angrily makes him a threat."

Keigen blinked. Good. Blink and freeze

.

Keiren: "You're loud."

Me: "Loud? I'm a hurricane in human form. Keiren? You're a mild breeze. Barely noticeable. You know, like background noise everyone ignores."

Keifer chuckled quietly but didn't interrupt. Perfect.

Keigen: "You think you can talk to us like that?"

I leaned closer, voice low and sharp: "Talk to you like what? You're literally asking for a tutorial in how to be irrelevant. Step one: stop existing. Step two: consider your choices carefully."

I could see their mouths drop. Silence hit like a wave. Keifer sipped his coffee again, eyes glinting.

Keiren: "You're ridiculous!"

Me: "Ridiculous? No, sweetheart. I'm legendary. And you two… background characters. Keigen, your ego is way too big for your skill set. Keiren, bless your heart, you're trying hard but failing miserably."

Keifer's eyebrows lifted slightly. Yep. He loves it.

Keigen (angrily): "We're not background characters!"

Me (mocking gasp): "Ohhh, really? I think you just proved my point by opening your mouths. Entire breakfast is chaos now because of you. Congratulations."

Keiren (stammering): "I… I can't…"

Me: "Exactly. You can't. And that's the problem. Keigen, Keiren… welcome to the Jay Show. You're trapped, and there's no intermission."

I leaned back, letting the silence settle, savoring the slight twitch in their jaws, the wide eyes, the mouths that couldn't form words. Keifer just quietly sipped his coffee, eyes soft, almost proud.

Then he said.

"Impressive, now you may eat."

Breakfast chaos over, we moved into the living room. Keifer had his arm casually draped over the back of the sofa, his smirk threatening to steal my soul. I plopped down next to him, feeling the warm familiarity of his body and the faint smell of coffee mixed with him—he was dangerously comforting.

He nudged me playfully. "You're in a good mood," he said.

"Always," I replied, leaning against him. "Especially when these two losers are silenced."

He chuckled, pulling me closer, one hand resting on my waist. "I like this version of you."

I tilted my head, teasing, "Oh, you mean the one that ruins pancakes and breakfast tables?"

"Exactly that one," he said, grinning, eyes glinting like he knew every chaotic thought in my head.

Sunday night rolled in, and with it came movie night. Popcorn, blankets, and that cozy thrill of doing absolutely nothing and everything at the same time. Keifer picked a thriller, naturally, because he loves watching me jump and scream like a little demon.

I was cuddled next to him, face pressed against his chest, when I felt it—Keiren had dozed off and somehow ended up resting his head in my lap. My eyes went wide, and I felt my cheeks burn hot.

Keigen noticed immediately. "Wait… he never… that's… what the—?"

I smirked down at the sleeping little guy, softly running a hand through his hair. "Looks like someone finally trusts where home is," I whispered.

Keifer's hand found mine, giving it a small squeeze. "He's safe. Thanks to you," he muttered, voice low.

I felt my heart do that stupid, uncontrollable flutter thing.

Keiren stirred awake, immediately flustered. "Uh… accident… nothing…"

I just leaned down, planting a quick kiss on his head. "Accident or not, it's fine. You're safe here," I said gently.

Later, when everyone had gone to bed, Keifer and I sat quietly, the house silent except for the distant hum of the city. He looked at me with those deep, unreadable eyes.

"You know," he said slowly, "I could never give him what he needed. Mother's love… but you… you're giving him that."

My chest tightened. "Someone has to. And… I like it."

He leaned forward, resting his forehead against mine. "I know. That's why I love you."

I wrapped my arms around him, hugging him tightly, feeling his warmth seep into me, and for the first time since I moved here, I felt completely, undeniably… home.
