A year later
Ryoma could be seen running around the village. 10 days ago he turned 5 years old which meant he was now eligible to attend the academy
In the past year, he understood when he was born, he was in the same generation as Kakashi which made him really happy as he was his favorite character
"And....haa...haaa....ahhh Finally done.. Haaa.... Ahhh.. " He said while lying down
After catching his breath Ryoma thought that he really was attending the academy
'Finally, it's time to show the world what true power ninjutsu looks like' he said inwardly grinning
But first I need to go back or miss Aiko will really skin me alive
Just thinking of her punishment made me shiver like how can her punishments hurt me who is basically a ninja
Well whatever I move through the village from the rooftops while taking in the morning scene of Konoha
It was.... Serene. Beautiful and peaceful, I couldn't match any other words, but I know that this was only the surface
Deep below, there was constant turmoil because of an one eyed geezer who just does whatever he wants in the name a Konoha
By the time I reached the orphanage, it was already time for breakfast, I quickly washed up and then went to have breakfast
I was surrounded a lot because I was going to the academy but it was not just me but others
One was Ayase and the other was Hana both who unlocked their chakra
As we were going to be admitted to the academy, we were also going to be given accommodation and monthly stipend if we pass
So the children were all surrounding us bid farewell, I for one never bothered to be a loner but also was active
This would help me build a positive image and keep on people's good side
As the breakfast ended, it was time for us to enroll in academy
We followed miss Aiko to the academy, where we reached in like half an hour
Upon reaching there, I saw a man in chunin vest instructing the children to get inside.
As we reached the entrance, miss Aiko said, "Remember, do your best, even if you fail it's fine you can always learn other things to help the village, alright? "
Wow, thanks miss Aiko for having so little trust in me. Well jokes aside, I can see why she is worried after all there are mostly clan children who get into the academy
Civilians like us have a really low chance of being accepted as we don't have the same training as the clans
But it doesn't matter with my cheat I will easily pass, but I will still be careful as I cannot be arrogant till I reach the super kage level
Before miss Aiko let us go she gave a look to all of us, her eyes remaining on me longer than the other two
With that, she let us go. I confidently walked inside vowed to get the first place in the entrance exam beside me both Ayase and Hana quite nervous
Once we entered, we were led to the ground, the children grouped together near their clansmen while civilians huddled together. Seeing so many civilians seem to ease both the girls' anxiety as the 3 were not the only civilians
As I stood, I took in my surroundings and saw many familiar faces like Asuma, Kurenai, Shizune, and Kakashi
As I gazed towards Kakashi, the latter seemed to sense something and gazed back at me
To this I simply looked away and started observing others, seeing that I didn't mean to do anything, he simply turned his gaze and looked towards the stage
I looked and saw few men in chunin vest standing there, who probably are my examiner, when one of them stepped forward and began explaining the exam
To sum it up, it was a physical exam which tested the examinee's body and how fit they were and the second part was where they checked if the children had unlocked their chakra
Of course, needles to say but I breezed through them, though Ayase and Hana were not so fortunate and both barely passed
And so we were allowed to go, and were told to return tomorrow for the results
And so I went back with the two of them, the stark difference in our appearance was clear I looked completely fine as if nothing happened while the two looked absolutely ragged like they went through a storm or something
When we reached, the orphanage was filled with children curious about the exams, the results, if we saw real ninjas up close, etc.
As all three were tired (actually only those two were but I didn't correct them as this would give me some time for myself), miss Aiko cleared the way for us to our room for us to rest
As I had nothing else to do, I took out a leaf from my pocket and toched it to my forehead, which then stuck even after removing my hands
Yes, this the leaf concentration exercise, it helped improve chakra control, although I don't need to improve chakra control I still do it to understand how chakra moves inside me
I had already filled myself with too many things like training, socialising, playing (even though I didn't want to), reading books and gaining knowledge
As I finished training after an hour, I lied on the bed and slowly drifted into sleep
Next day
I woke up early today started my morning routine once I finished I came back for breakfast and departed for the academy with the girls
As soon we reached there, we saw a large crowd of parents and children mostly civilians looking at the results
When I saw the list I wasn't surprised as I saw myself in the first place but that couldn't be said for the others
Many knew that this year, the White Fang's son Hatake Kakashi was going to attend the academy and many thought that the first place will obviously go to him
Even if not as renowned as in the future, Kakashi of now was still seen as a genius and one that easily overpowers others
So the fact that not only did Kakashi lose the first place, it wasn't even to child of any clan but a civilian who was completely unknown
This caused an uproar with many questioning the academy if there was some mistake, while Hatake Sakumo was just laughing heartily and said "Looks like you have competition Kakashi, you need to put some effort now or you will be overtaken"
Hearing this Kakashi was a bit annoyed but looked towards me and guessed that it was me who got the first place and glared at me
'Yeesssh.... He is gonna bore holes in head at this point' I thought while sighing
I looked towards Sakumo and gave him a look which screamed 'please control your son'
Sakumo saw this and was even more amused and laughed without even bothering to do anything
Seeing this both Kakashi and me sighed in exasperation and we felt ourselves become a bit closer
After the results were out, the children were segregated into classes and Kakashi & many others alongside me went to class1
These were the best students among all the children who took the exam and as we entered the classroom took our seats
I could feel a lot I mean the entire class's gaze on me barring Kakashi cuz he already glared at me
I could understand them, I mean if suddenly a boy with no background just beat the unprecedented genius I too would gawk at them but still being under everyone's gaze made a bit uncomfortable
As soon as the bell rang, a man walked in, stood at the podium, his presence was heavy as if telling us to settle down
Seeing that everyone was quiet, he started speaking "I am Tanaka Ren, from today onwards I will be your homeroom teacher, now we will start---"
As soon as he was saying something a voice came from the door, "Sorry, sensei I was helping a granny across the street, so I was a bit late"
