By the next morning, Kenneth came back home, Juliet his wife welcomed him and his children Jude,Helen,Dianna and Susan all welcomed him.His children have all returned form travel.They traveled to UK to visit their Aunty Jennifer for vacation.But Jude just graduated from the University.
"Darling you are welcome"Juliet hugged him with a smile as she opened the door for him.
"Wow,who do we have here,Jude is this you,you have grown so big.He immediately hugged him"Kenneth was surprised as he saw his second son Jude who just graduated from the University of Harvard.
"Dad it's me your son,I heard that James will be promoted in the company for being creative in ideas and for making the company more productive through his ideas"He was smiling with joy on his face.
As Jude was speaking his three sisters all came out to greet their father.They all heard the news of James achievement and promotion In the office from their mom.
"Yes,daddy we are all proud of James our brother,he is really going to be a future business tycoon"Helen his first daughter spoke with pride on her face while remaining sisters were all happy.
There was already a sound of music in the sitting room to celebrate James.Juliet was already cooking a delicious meal to celebrate James promotion.Kenneth felt so sad because the idea James shared in the office was from merci and the promotion James got was merci's effort but he tried to fake a smile.
His children were already dancing to the music and drinking champagne when James came to visit.Jamed entered the sitting room and everyone was happy to see him especially his junior brother Jude.
"James how have you been,its been long I saw you"Jude spoke
"How are you doing,so you are now a graduate.Mom called me to tell me that you are back from the University.So I came to see you".James replied.
"Hi James what we heard about what happened in the company,how you were so creative in thinking and how you are about to be promoted"Diana spoke.
"Yeah, everyone was amazed,I mean you need to see the happiness on the face of everyone in the company on that day"James was explaining.
As James was speaking everyone in the sitting room was smiling as they were looking at him including his mother siblings.But his father who just entered the sitting room after taking his bath was not smiling because he knows that's all merci's effort.The girl he hated.
"Wow,my brother James is now an expert in making a business grow"Helen spoke as she was blushing.Her dimples were obviously showing.
"Well,all the praise goes to my wife merci,she was the one who gave me the ideas.She have been a genius for years.She have also been the one giving me ideas that have been making the business grow"As James was speaking,he felt goose bumbs and the soft kiss and touch of his lovely wife merci.
Immediately james finished talking everyone's face changed to sadness.
"James,so mean you listened to that stupid girl called merci?,I thaught you are smarter than this.She have been a genius my foot and she is still poor?,why is she so poor if she is truly a genius.That girl is poor and her parents are wretched.I know her parents.They use to sell food close to my boyfriend's house"Helen spoke shouting In anger.
Everyone in the sitting room laughed except James who was already very angry.But Nobody knew that James came with merci.Merci was driving the same car with james but on the way she stopped to by somethings while James dropped her and drove to his parent's house earlier.She walked on foot to the house.Merci overheard everything as she was silently approaching the door of the sitting room.
Immediately merci came in as she suddenly opened the door"Shut up your mouth and hold it right there.Since I came into this family I have been quiet,calm and gentle.But everyone take me for a fool,first of all I am not poor,I am rich because the ideas that this company have been using to survive today are all mine.All the luxuries,cars,money that is coming out of that compy are all mine,and I use it to make my husband who he is today".Merci spoke.
"Hey,keep quiet,James is our brother,my mom and dad trained him well.And all this things you are saying is nonsense.Because you are poor,you have no skills and you have no job"Susan said to merci.
"Well,when I met your brother,he needed to improve on so many aspect of his life and he still has a lot to improve on.That is why I am the best for him.As for you saying I am jobless.I am an expert in business and I have companies who are willing to employ me for my great business ideas from all over the world.I helped two big companies and I made 1.2million dollars.I only stopped it because I wanted to make my loving husband feel secured as a man.I sacrificed for my husband".She smiled with confidence as she opens her laptop to show everyone the company she works with on the laptop screen.
"Who are you to enter into my house and talk to me like this?"Helen replied as tears graduation began to drop from her eyes.
"We are not mate in anything,you cannot achieve what I have achieved, neither do you know what I know.When I was in school I was the graduating student and the most beautiful woman.The award was given to me by the school"merci spoke.
"How dare you talk to us like that,who are you and where are you coming from?"Diana interrupted the discussion.
"James,I am bigger than this,I am out of here"merci spoke.As she walked away from the sitting room to her car.She was driving back home in anger.
"James,just look at how merci came here to insult everyone of us"Helen was angry.
"Helen calm down,James you disappointed me,after all I have done for you,you still went and marry that girl.To make it worse you came here to advertise her"Juliet who is James mom spoke.
"Mom I will not stay here and allow anyone to insult my wife.let me tell everyone of you especially you Helen,That girl is the best graduating student in her university,she is so kind, beautiful, humble and caring.She is kind of girl you will hardly see in this generation".James spoke with confidence.
"Hey you,stop there.Mom and dad have told us about how they want you to marry Sharon so that they can maintain a good relationship with Bryant who is a family friend to us.We don't want Mr Bryant to get angry and remove all his financial support from our company,we don't want him to remove all our foreign investors.But yet went ahead to marry merci after everything "Jude spoke.
"Listen ,don't talk to me like that,I am not your mate.I made my choice,why didn't you marry Sharon yourself?"James replied in anger as his face became squeezed.
Jude laughed in evil way"you coward,If you are not my mate then act like one.Do what you need to do.Mom,Dad,Sharon and all of us your siblings have decided not to tell Bryant about your wedding yet, neither have we told Bryant that you are married to Sharon.Bryant knows nothing about your wedding because he travelled.We don't want to create problem.So you have a chance of going back to Sharon before we go back to poverty if our company falls"Jude spoke with confidence and authority.
