Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 Raid

Ever since her conversation with the Verna, Bronya had been holding her breath, beginning to hunt Honkai Beasts even more diligently, all with the goal of finding a way to become stronger, to quickly become an S-Rank Valkyrie, and to go to the Sea of Quanta.

Three days had passed since the Third Honkai Impact, and Bronya, as always, took on the role of the main attacker, dealing with the Honkai Beasts along the way.

"Bronya, take a break," Mei said, trying to persuade Bronya. A string pulled too tight would only break more easily; there should be a balance between work and rest.

"Okay, sister Mei," Bronya also knew she was too impatient, and killing indiscriminately like this wouldn't lead to improvement, so she floated over and sat down beside Mei.

"Kiana, time to eat!" Mei called out to Kiana, who had her back to them, but Kiana was startled and shivered, then started frantically patting her chest.

"Kiana!" Mei immediately became anxious, rushing forward, and then she saw the food in front of Kiana. She was both annoyed and amused, patting Kiana's back.

"Here," Bronya handed Kiana a bottle of water. Kiana quickly took it and gulped it down.

"Phew~ I'm alive again!" Kiana put down the water bottle and let out a long sigh, her expression relaxing. But Mei's expression turned sour again, because...

Kiana had eaten all their supplies again.

"You, at least leave a little," Mei helplessly tapped Kiana's forehead. Kiana covered her forehead and giggled foolishly. She couldn't help it; she was just hungry.

"What do we do now? We're out of supplies." These supplies were brought from Kiana's room three days ago, and it was a miracle they lasted this long.

"There's a supermarket over there, Mei. How about we..." Kiana's eyes sparkled. She had traveled to many countries, including the ones where gun is common item, and see some video about looting.

"This... isn't that not good?" Mei, as a model student, hesitated. Wouldn't that be a bit unethical?

"Sister Mei, I agree with Kiana's method. Nagazora is already a dead city, there's no need for any moral burden," Bronya, as a former mercenary, naturally had no qualms about Looting. Moreover, there was no one else in Nagazora besides them, so it was better to use these ownerless supplies to help themselves.

Kiana and Bronya's ideas coincided. Mei had no choice but to agree, after all, at this moment, their own safety was the most important.

"Quick, quick, quick! Let's go! This is my first time experiencing a looting!" Kiana was in high spirits.

She had only seen others doing it, but she had never done it herself, but even as a Kaslana, she had been curious it.

She never expected to have an opportunity to experience it now. Kiana was absolutely ecstatic!

"Kiana, slow down," Mei said helplessly, following Kiana into the supermarket. Bronya stayed by Mei's side, as Mei was currently the weakest in their trio.

Kiana had the tempered physique of the Kaslana Family and a golden finger grandpa, no, a golden finger Big sister.

Bronya had the Project Bunny, which had both long-range and close-combat modes. Ordinary mobs couldn't harm her at all.

Only Mei, who feared the Herrscher's power, had a physique that couldn't compare to Kiana's, and she didn't have a robot companion like Bronya. She only had excellent swordsmanship, the Hiten Mitsurugi-ryu, but with just that, Mei firmly held the position of the weakest.

"Idiot Kiana, running in without even scouting first, aren't you afraid of ambush?" Bronya complained about Kiana.

After entering the supermarket, Kiana eagerly rushed to the snack section. Mei sighed and turned to Bronya: "Bronya, could I trouble you to keep an eye on Kiana? Tell her not to take too many snacks, I'll go check the bento section."

"Bronya has received the command," Bronya saluted, looking cute and innocent, no brain, cough cough, nothing.

...

"Wow~ New flavor potato chips!" Kiana grabbed the new potato chips and stuffed them into her bag, while Verna, lying in her consciousness space, lazily scratched her stomach. For her, she could replicate the taste of anything Kiana had eaten.

"New potato chips, huh... I'm really looking forward to them. I'm tired of these few flavors," the Verna rolled over. When no one was around, she didn't need to maintain her composure; she could be as comfortable as she wanted.

"IdiotKa, sister Mei said not to take too many snacks," Bronya floated behind Kiana and spoke unexpectedly.

"I know, I know~" Kiana waved her hand dismissively, then reluctantly put back the original, barbecue, and tomato flavored potato chips.

"Just one bag of the new flavor is fine, right, shorty?" Kiana shook the new flavor potato chips in her hand. Bronya nodded.

"Speaking of which, where did Mei go?" Kiana looked left and right but couldn't see Mei.

"Sister Mei went to the bento section. After all, she can't be like Kiana and live by eating snacks," Bronya teased Kiana.

"I'm not! Humph, I'm not talking to you anymore, I'm going to find Mei!" Kiana skipped out of the snack section, not forgetting to grab a few drinks.

As for why she didn't grab soda? There's a saying: cool soda is a national treasure, room temperature... well, to each their own.

In the bento section, Mei was picking out bentos. Due to the Honkai Impact caused by Cocolia, Nagazora had no electricity, and the bentos had all started to spoil after three days.

"Hmm... no, this one's bad too." Mei picked up a bento and sniffed it lightly, detecting a faint smell of spoiled ingredients.

"As expected... I was hoping to try my luck," Mei sighed, putting the spoiled bento back. The next second, she felt someone on her back.

"Mei Mei Mei!" Kiana hugged Mei's neck and rubbed affectionately. Mei's pretty face flushed slightly, and she gently patted Kiana's hand.

"Kiana, let go first. Bronya is watching."

Bronya raised her hand to cover her eyes, saying in her flat, childlike voice: "Bronya saw nothing, knows nothing."

If one ignored the eyes peeking through the gaps in her unclosed fingers, perhaps it would truly be believable.

"I know~" Kiana got off Mei's back, but not completely. Her chin rested on Mei's shoulder, and her tiptoes strained to reach.

"What are you looking for, Mei?"

Mei smiled helplessly, pointing to the bentos and speaking softly: "I'm trying to find some edible bentos, but... these have all spoiled, they'll give us stomachaches."

"Oh, I see..." Kiana looked at the bentos, casually picking one out.

They really were all a bit spoiled... even her good luck didn't bless her with a good bento.

"Looks like we'll just have to eat bread then," Mei sighed, after all, they couldn't really just fill their stomachs with snacks, could they?

"Hehe, then let's go, Mei, let's pick out some bread~" Kiana linked arms with Mei. Ah, who would have thought that the Kiana of now would become the Kiana of the future?
