The First Official Date & Old Roses
The afternoon sun filtered through the café window as I nervously smoothed my skirt.
Keifer was already there, sitting at the corner table, looking… impossibly calm.
He stood when he saw me, flashing that crooked smile that used to make my heart trip over itself.
"I brought something," he said, reaching into his jacket pocket.
I raised an eyebrow, suspicious but curious.
A single, delicate rose.
"Just like old times," he whispered, holding it out.
My cheeks burned as I took it, fingers brushing his.
I smiled, feeling all the old butterflies fluttering back to life.
Back at campus, the chaos didn't stop.
Fatima was already plotting to "officially" announce us to everyone, dragging Yuri into the plan.
Yuri, of course, was grinning like a mischief-maker, whispering wild ideas about "couple challenges" and "prank wars."
Classes were brutal, deadlines looming like dark clouds, and the pressure mounting.
But somehow, in the middle of all the tension, laughter and teasing reminded me that maybe… this time, it could work.
