This woman is absolutely stunning, but something seems off about her. Is she feeling unwell? Would it be inappropriate to ask?
The conversation had been flowing smoothly until she began questioning me about my family. That's when her behavior shifted dramatically. I hadn't overlooked the subtle shaking in her hands or how she clutched the kitchen counter as though her life depended on it.
Her face had drained of all color, turning ghostly white, and her voice climbed several pitches higher. Perhaps she was experiencing monthly discomfort, which might explain why she practically shoved me toward the exit mid-conversation.
Everything seemed to be progressing wonderfully until that precise moment. She didn't even allow me to bid farewell to Warren.
I mentally dissect every moment of the evening, analyzing each exchange we shared as I make my way home through the forest. What could I have possibly done to offend her? What crucial detail am I overlooking?
