Sallie's POV
"Sallie, are you still at the Noah residence?"
Todd's voice came through the phone, carrying an edge that made my stomach tighten.
I couldn't shake the unease creeping up my spine. "Yeah, I'm still here. What's wrong?"
A pause stretched between us before he spoke again. "You need to stay close to Levi. Don't let him go online, and keep him away from any gossip."
The gravity in his tone sent ice through my veins. "What happened?"
I could hear Todd struggling with his words, knowing how much Levi meant to me.
Finally, he said, "Remember that photographer we caught outside Levi's hospital room? Turns out he wasn't working for Salome. Someone named Greg was pulling his strings."
Todd had suspected something off about that man from the start, wanting to investigate quietly. But after that day, the guy had disappeared completely.
