Sallie's POV
Greg was drenched in sweat, his face twisted in pure agony as he shrieked and pleaded for mercy. The disdain he'd once shown me had completely morphed into terror. He could sense that I wanted him dead. He must be thinking, 'This woman has lost her mind.'
I stopped rotating the blade, but I left it buried in his flesh. My stare locked onto Greg, my expression making it crystal clear: "If your answer doesn't please me, I'll continue."
Reading the message in my eyes, Greg didn't dare keep anything hidden. He frantically stammered, "I know Jill's secret. She's not really a Noah by blood."
I had pictured every possible secret that could be used against Jill, but I never imagined it would be something like this. Without missing a beat, I twisted the knife once more, making Greg writhe in agony and wail.
I said, "When Jill first appeared, the Noah Family made everyone get DNA tests from four or five different labs. You expect me to buy that?"
