Seeing my reaction, Webster thought I was convinced by what he said and proudly declared, "The kidnappers who took you and Jill are working together. The police have their trail and will arrest them soon."
I frowned slightly. The person who kidnapped Jill was Greg. Johan had left Stormhaven to investigate him and eventually found out about Jill.
But the people who kidnapped me were hired by Lionel. Kevin had also investigated, but although they got away in the end, Greg was never implicated.
How could these two groups be working together? And why was Webster able to easily uncover things that even Johan and Kevin couldn't find?
Todd also knew about the kidnapping, and naturally, he had thought of the same things as me. He looked at Webster curiously. "So, you're saying the kidnappers haven't been caught yet. How do you know they're the same group?"
