Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

Weirdly, Aria suddenly stopped talking to me. I stopped for a moment and searched through my contacts.

Dialed John… "Oh John, what happened? Aria isn't picking up her phone?"

John: "Really? Maybe she just slept? But for now, Mark, you should keep your distance from here."

Mark: "Why?"

Before I could continue talking, John closed the phone on my face. This fucker.

Little people managed to do that to my face, and none stayed alive. Alright, I'm giving this fucker a nice visit to his house.

Or better yet—fuck it, let's go now. I feel like I didn't punch someone today. I feel agitated.

I took my phone and coat. Giving my room a glance, I jumped out of my broken room wall, checking my phone.

It's 9:30 p.m.—there's no taxi working now. Alright. Using my telekinesis, I flew into the sky, taking enough altitude, then accelerated with a boom sound, breaking the sound barrier.

---

John's House

"This idiot isn't calling me anymore. Good, now I ha—"

BOOM!

An explosion happened in John's sleeping room. Lifting his bloodied face, the dust cloud settled down.

Mark walked from it slowly, clean despite the debris. The telekinesis armor dispelled, and his debris fell to the ground.

"I heard you said something about me. Good. How about a little brooding session of brothers?"

Grabbing John by his throat, Aria entered the room, her teary eyes shining when she saw him.

"Hello Aria. I'll take this asshole for a little beating session—coming back soon." He winked at her.

He grabbed John and struck him on the wall, making him lose consciousness.

"That will make do. I don't want him to annoy me all the way."

Lifting John with his telekinesis, he shot to the sky.

Aria stood there, dumbfounded at what happened, but felt good seeing John's bloodied face.

---

Flying across the silent night, I saw an empty construction site and flew there while dragging unconscious John with me.

Ding.

Quest: Justice Served Right!

Revenge for Aria. Drive John to despair. Killing him is necessary to complete the quest.

Reward: 500 points, 2 rare gifts, Aria affection +60.

I froze, glancing at the system. "Wahh… just what things did this hideous fucker do? The system seems to hate him more than me? Hahahaha."

"Don't worry. I already saw Aria crying there. I don't know what happened, but I know it's this guy's fault."

We both dropped to the ground—me elegantly on my feet, him falling straight on his face.

I got a chair. Using my telekinesis, I bent some iron rods around him sitting on the chair so he wouldn't run.

I sat there, texting Aria. She finally, after much nudging, collapsed and told me everything—from him exploiting her to that C-rank coming in a week.

I grabbed the phone, my face unreadable, my fist tense—a little crack appearing on the screen.

"Alright. I'll wait until this fucker wakes up so his torment can begin."

After 30 minutes, he finally woke up slowly. "Just what happened? A bomb?"

"Wake up finally, John?"

"Yeah, just wh—AHHHHH!"

Before he finished his word, I bent his finger in the opposite direction.

Telekinesis is great. Like a power just made for me. I wouldn't have to resort to getting close and all bloody like my usual way.

"Why? What did I do to you?"

"Wait, let me recall. How about closing the phone in my face, forcing Aria to sell her body to support you, or just being a manipulative asshole generally?"

"I would nev—AHHHHH!"

This time I broke both his arms. "You see, I already dealt a lot with his type. The solution? Never hear what they're about to say."

"But… guh… what's this smell?" I looked down at the pool forming at John's feet. "Bruh. I knew you weren't a man since you forced Aria to do those things, but… as expected, you didn't disappoint me."

"Mark! Don't you remember our childhood days? Or… when… when… when?"

"You seem to have run out of ideas. I already remember clearly—since the moment you became my stepbrother, you acted all superior and manipulative."

I looked down at his crotch, then flicked my finger. "AHHHHHH!" Blood started staining his pants.

After breaking all 206 human bones in him and making a record of him apologizing to every victim he met—

"Hm. My business here's done."

I turned to him, flicked a finger, and his head exploded like a watermelon.

Ding.

Quest completed: 500 points, 2 rare gifts.

I grinned. "True, being a hero is hard and tiring—but the rewards are worth it. Now I look forward to what power I'm getting next."

I flew to Aria this time, barrier dispelled, enjoying the cold night wind hitting my face.

"But… I feel like I forgot something?"

---

In another apartment on the highest floor of a skyscraper, an old fatty man sat, women around him in short skirts and young age.

Reaching for the table, his golden watch gleamed under the lights. Lifting the chilled whiskey, he took a sip.

A phone call reached him. "What? John died? Pity. He really knew how to choose girls for me."

"Too bad we lost a good provider. So, who's the one who did it?"

Pfffff—

The old man splashed the whiskey on the table. "You say an awakener who could fucking fly? But shouldn't only B-rank and above be able to fly? Now hear me—delete everything connecting us with John, you hear me out!"

He shouted at the top of his lungs.

His hands trembled, making a twisted face. "Should I call my niece?"
