Chapter 52 - "Servant Skills and the Blessing System"

Hestia replied, "Dungeons have multiple layers, and the monsters get stronger the deeper you go. Floors 1 to 12 are the upper levels, 13 to 24 are middle, 25 to 36 are lower, and anything beyond 37 is considered deep. The deeper you go, the larger the floors get. By the fifth floor, it's as wide as the Central Plaza. By the 40th, the floor area rivals the entire city of Orarie."

Hearing that, Loki's excitement only grew.

A dungeon like this was basically paradise for adventurers!

Alex was thrilled too. Compared to the Type-Moon world, this one was perfect for beginners.

Thanks to the Blessing system and the monsters in the dungeon, leveling up and getting stronger would be fast.

"Interesting… Too bad we're Servants, or I'd want to try this Blessing system myself," Merlin said with obvious curiosity.

"You're technically Servants, but you've got physical bodies now, so you should be able to receive Blessings," Alex reminded them.

"Oh, that's right! You've got bodies now!" Hestia's eyes lit up with excitement.

If Merlin, Morgan, and Artoria joined the Familia, her own Familia could instantly become one of the top families in Orarie.

"Wanna try?" Merlin asked, glancing at Morgan and Artoria.

"Sure," Morgan nodded.

"I don't mind," Artoria said, indifferent.

Ever since she realized the Holy Grail couldn't grant her wish, she'd become withdrawn. New things in this world didn't spark much interest in her.

"Alright, let's get started. Alex, you head out first!" Hestia said, looking at him.

Receiving a Blessing required removing one's upper clothing, and with only him as the male present, it made sense for him to leave.

Alex shook his head with a wry smile and stepped out of the basement.

He wasn't going to just wait around. He planned to take a walk and soak in the flavor of this other world.

Even though it was his first time in this world, having read the anime and novels, he was already familiar with it.

He knew the cultivation system, the world background, and the guilds, Familias, adventurers, dungeons, and even the Babel Tower in Orarie.

After a stroll around the city, Alex had a solid grasp of Orarie's layout and even figured out the headquarters of some major Familias—like Freya, Loki, and Hephaestus.

By the time he returned to the church basement, over two hours had passed.

"Alex! Where did you run off to? I thought you were lost!" Hestia exclaimed, worry etched across her face.

"I didn't go far, just wandered around Orarie to get a feel for the city," Alex said with a smile.

Seeing Hestia's worried expression, he felt genuinely touched.

Since crossing over, only two people had shown him this kind of care: Luo Hao and Hestia.

"You scared me! Next time, let me know before you go anywhere," Hestia grumbled, half-scolding, half-relieved.

"Yeah, yeah! Got it!" Alex quickly nodded.

Before Hestia could say anything more, he changed the subject: "How about Merlin and the others' Blessing attributes?"

At this, Hestia's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Alex, their starting attributes are insane! I was completely blown away!"

She pulled out three sheets of parchment, each recording the Blessings.

Alex took them, starting with Merlin.

The moment he looked, he nearly gasped.

[Name]: Merlin

[Level]: LV1[Stats]: Strength: 10| Endurance: 10[ Dexterity: 10[ Agility: 10 | [Magic: 10]

[Development Ability]: Mixed Blood I [Magic]: Everlasting Utopia, [blank], [blank]

[Skills]: Illusory Leadership, Stronghold Construction, High-Speed Casting, Item Creation, Independent Manifestation, Hero Creation, Succubus Edge

Everlasting Utopia

A Noble Phantasm usable on humans.

Avalon, the legendary fairy realm.

Humanity's ideal future, a hope people continually strive toward.

Illusory Leadership

The ability to lead others.

Stronghold Construction

Build a workshop advantageous to oneself.

High-Speed Casting

Speeds up magic casting.

Not divine language, but the spell is fast enough to match fairy language.

Spells are short and quick.

Item Creation

Produces magic-infused items.

Her staff can instantly generate a workshop and create various items.

Independent Manifestation

Divine Blessings automatically update themselves.

Hero Creation

King's creation.

Technique for cultivating heroes.

Succubus Edge

Fusion of illusion and magic eye.

Disrupts enemies; a single glance on the battlefield can invade the enemy's mind to siphon magic.

"Holy… She starts with one magic, a development ability, and seven skills!" Alex cursed under his breath.

Hestia nodded, equally stunned. "I've never seen anything like this. It's just… ridiculous!"

Normally, when someone first receives a Blessing, no matter how strong, they start from zero.

But Merlin's stats were clearly abnormal.

"Isn't this gonna cause problems?" Alex asked, a little worried.

Hestia shook her head. "No, it's fine. Merlin's starting attributes include magic and skills because of her status as a Servant."

Now, Hestia wasn't just a goddess in this world—she also possessed extensive knowledge from the Type-Moon universe. Combining the two, she quickly figured it out.

Alex understood immediately.

Servants are special beings summoned as heroic spirits. Their inherent skills and magic are treated like innate talents.

That's why no matter how many spells or magics Alex learned, they never got recorded in his Blessing.

Merlin, however, being a Servant, had all her class skills, innate skills, and Noble Phantasm recorded by the Blessing system.

The Blessing saw these as natural abilities she already possessed.

Not every single spell was recorded—Merlin knew too many—but her Noble Phantasm, Everlasting Utopia, was registered as magic, and all her class and innate skills were logged under her skill list.

That "half-blood" skill had actually been recorded under development abilities.

Once Alex figured out what was going on, he could finally relax.

He glanced back at Merlin's Blessing attributes, and when he saw the "Manifest Independently" skill, he couldn't help but feel envious.

With that skill, he wouldn't even need Hestia to update her blessings—he could do it himself automatically!

Shaking his head, he moved on to check Morgan and Artoria's Blessings.

[Name]: Morgan

[Level]: LV1[Stats]: Strength: 10| Endurance: 10| Dexterity: 10| Agility: 10 | Mana: 10

[Development Ability]: Lake's Protection [Magic]: "Unreachable Utopia," "Spear of Limitlessness: Rhongomyniad," ""

[Skills]: Berserk, Mana Resistance, Fairy Eye, Item Creation, Fortification, From the End, Alluring Desire

Another monster. One development ability, two magics, seven skills.

And that's only the class skills, innate skills, and Noble Phantasms—this doesn't even include the other magic Morgan has mastered.

Next up: the last one, Artoria.

[Name]: Artoria Pendragon

[Level]: LV1[Stats]: Strength: 10 | Endurance: 10 | Dexterity: 10 | Agility: 10 | Mana: 10

[Development Ability]: Red Dragon, Lake's Protection [Magic]: "Wind King Barrier," "", ""

[Skills]: Instinct, Riding, Mana Resistance, Mana Release, Leadership Presence

Compared to Merlin and Morgan, Artoria had fewer skills—just one magic and five skills.

Of course, that's mainly because her Noble Phantasm, Excalibur: Sword of Promised Victory, isn't recorded under Blessings.

"Wind King Barrier" does show up in the magic section, and her development abilities are unusually strong—she starts with two right off the bat.

Alex put down the parchment, letting out a quiet sigh. "With their strength, as long as they dive deep into dungeons and keep fighting monsters above their level, they'll level up fast, right?"

Hestia bounced with excitement. "Exactly! Alex, you better keep up, or you'll get left behind!"

Right now, Alex held the highest rank in the Hestia Familia—he was already Level 2.

"Good luck catching up with me," he said confidently, a grin spreading across his face.

Merlin and the others were strong, sure, but he wasn't exactly weak either.

He had mastery over Type-Moon magic, Jobless magic, Fairy Tail magic, and on top of that, Crown-class combat skills. His leveling speed would definitely keep pace with theirs.

Most importantly—he was part of the chat group.

Merlin and the others weren't, meaning they couldn't access the chat group's powerful functions!

"If you're confident, Alex, that's enough. From today on, you're officially the leader of the Hestia Familia!" Hestia patted his shoulder, handing him the role without hesitation.

"I guess I'd better level up quickly. A Level 2 leader would be laughed at otherwise," Alex said with a slight smile, accepting it without protest.

In his mind, there was no one else fit for the role.

"Alright then! Next up, we all work hard and save up for a bigger house!" Hestia raised her arm and shouted to everyone.

"Let's do it!" Alex raised his arm alongside her.

"Work hard together! Let's go!" Everyone cheered, raising their arms in unison.

From this moment on, the Hestia Familia officially set sail.

They would write a new chapter of legend in Orario.
