"And what did you see in this... dream?"
In the interrogation room, alone, she told the story.
"There were two worlds. A physical world and the celestial world. The celestial world controlled the physical under one authority."
The therapist looked at her colleagues, before focusing more on their apprehended test subject. She tapped on the button, that allowed her voice to project through the speakers on the other side of the mirrorless glass.
"And then, what happened?"
The subject's eyes then fixed on the one-way mirror. Looking straight into their eyes they exchanged glances.
"She can't see us, right?"
The therapist asked again, looking up at the man standing next to her in a buttonless shirt and light-blue baggy jeans. His hair jelled smoothly while his hands relaxed, tensed in his pockets.
He looked down at her and then to the man in charge in a suit, on his right. His hands were folded while the silence continued to echo.
"No. It's a two-way glass. She can only see herself."
"I know your names," the test subject said tiredly, still sounding like she was in her right senses.
This time, it was buttonless shirt guy that touched the button.
"Really, now,"
"Yes, Adrien. You're putting on a pair of blue jeans and white top, right now." She said still looking at them, though seeing only herself on the one way mirror, as they all flinched.
"Commander Raze is on my left, which is by your right, and Annabelle is sitting by your left. There are three more officials assisting you in there to try understand me, sitting in this mirroring room."
They all seemed to panicked with their faces, but commander Raze remained unmoved.
Calmly, he moved to click on the button.
"Are you psychic?"
"No."
"Then what's your point, Melody?"
Melody adjusted herself on her seat, strapped by the hands and feet. She looked drugged. The deep dark circles around her eyes showed immense weakness and tiredness, and her face was filled with a tone of nonchalance to the investigating procedure.
"That you have no choice other than to believe everything I tell you."
"You're in no position to determine that."
"I am in every position that has determined that."
Annabelle touched the commander's hand, as a sign to let her continue asking the questions. He took his hand of the button, and went to the back wall, and rested on it, folding his arms again.
"Yes, Annabelle?" Melody asked, looking at Annabelle now, at the wonder of everyone.
"You still haven't answered my question, on what happened next."
They waited for her response, wondering what was going on in her head to warrant such strangling silence.
"You all died."
