Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Journey to the Wind Moon Sect, the Fortuitous Item

In the following days, Qi Chuan stayed on his secluded mountain peak to cultivate.

Apart from improving his cultivation base, he focused some energy on common spells from the Record of Qi Refining Techniques.

With his efforts, these common Qi Refining spells gradually reached the entry level as time passed.

However, after mastering these spells to the entry level, Qi Chuan slowed down their practice, only occasionally finding time to rehearse them.

The majority of his time was still devoted to advancing his cultivation and practicing the Basic Five Elements Magic.

After all, cultivation is the foundation.

Currently, the Fireball Technique and other basic Five Elements Magic stood roughly at the Great Success level. If he could elevate them to the Perfection level within the Qi Refining Realm, it would be a significant boost for him.

As for the common spells from the Record of Qi Refining Techniques, just reaching the entry level suffices.

Nonetheless, even with occasional practice, Qi Chuan might gradually enhance them to Minor Success over time.

Half a month passed in the blink of an eye.

On this day, Qi Chuan received news that it was the day for the Wind Moon Sect's disciple recruitment, and the family would lead the Qi family juniors with Inner and Outer Sect quotas to the Wind Moon Sect.

So, Qi Chuan bid farewell to Second Grandfather Qi Baicang on their secluded mountain peak.

"Second Grandfather, I am leaving now," Qi Chuan said earnestly with a clasped fist gesture to him.

Since entering the main clan vein, he had come to this secluded mountain to live with Second Grandfather, and it had been about four years now.

In these four years, he had grown from a ten-year-old boy to a fourteen-year-old, gaining quite a bit of height, and his already handsome face had gained a touch of maturity.

During these years, Second Grandfather had shown him much care, treating him like his own grandson, for which Qi Chuan felt deeply grateful.

"Go ahead, just cultivate well after entering the Wind Moon Sect."

Standing before Qi Chuan, Qi Baicang looked at him with a hint of solace on his face.

This young junior of the family grew up under his care, and though originally thought to possess a Lower Eighth Grade Spirit Root, only slightly better than his own Lower Ninth Grade Spirit Root, it turned out he was a cultivation prodigy, now about to join the Wind Moon Sect.

Though there was a touch of reluctance at parting, Qi Chuan had come alone before, and now he would return alone.

Unlike before, having such a family junior cultivating in the Wind Moon Sect meant that his future life in the clan would be much better, with no one daring to bully him.

After all, if Qi Chuan reached the Qi Refining Late Stage in the future and returned to the clan, he would become one of the few elders in the family.

Qi Chuan nodded slightly.

After a brief conversation with Second Grandfather, he went off towards the main peak under the gaze of the latter.

Soon, Qi Chuan arrived at the plaza in front of the main hall on the main peak.

On the plaza, three individuals were already present, one of whom was Qi Chan'Er in a red dress.

The other two young men were the Qi family juniors who had acquired Outer Sect quotas.

As Qi Chuan appeared, Qi Chan'Er's gaze fell upon his face, seemingly still holding a grudge for losing her Inner Sect quota to him.

The other two young men also vaguely cast their sights on him, as Qi Chuan's entry into the Wind Moon Sect differed from theirs—he was joining the Inner Sect, while they were entering the Outer Sect.

Although they were all Qi family juniors, and in terms of birth, they were even slightly better off than Qi Chuan, their paths might diverge in the future.

Qi Chuan paid little attention to the trio's gazes, simply standing with his hands hanging down, waiting.

After some time, a figure appeared on the plaza, an elderly man with an ordinary appearance, none other than the Great Elder Qi Chuan had once met.

"Greetings, Great Elder!"

Upon seeing the visitor, everyone hurriedly paid their respects.

The Great Elder glanced at the four, nodded slightly, then summoned a Flying Carpet magical artifact, saying, "Now that we are all here, let's get on and follow me to the Wind Moon Sect."

Then, he infused it with mana, and the Flying Carpet instantly expanded considerably, becoming spacious enough to accommodate everyone.

"Yes," the four responded in unison, and then stepped onto the Flying Carpet one by one.

Qi Chuan joined them, standing on the Flying Carpet, and felt a sense of difference.

This was his second time on a flying magical artifact.

The first was when entering the main clan vein on the iron-colored flying sword magical artifact of that Immortal Master, which felt very solid underfoot.

Now, however, this Flying Carpet was soft in texture, much more comfortable, and also very stable, suggesting it was of even higher quality.

"Let's go."

The Great Elder, already on the Flying Carpet, saw that everyone was aboard and, without further ado, manipulated the Flying Carpet to soar into the distance.

On the Flying Carpet, Qi Chuan watched the scenery below receding rapidly, and soon, even the silhouette of Red Maple Valley became faintly visible behind them. His heart stirred slightly.

He knew that his future path in cultivation would begin a new chapter.

He lifted his gaze, looking into the distance, and many thoughts involuntarily arose in his mind.

What kind of scene would it be inside the Wind Moon Sect?

And the True Inheritance, the Foundation Establishment Pill, perhaps even... the Sword Dao—would he have the chance to touch upon them?

Normally, due to his Hundredfold Critical Strike, with steady efforts, there should be a slight chance for the True Inheritance and Foundation Establishment Pill.

As for the Sword Dao, to say obtaining the legacy of the Profound Sword True Master was a bit of an exaggeration.

However, given how vast the Wind Moon Sect is, there must be more than one Sword Dao Technique. If he could have the opportunity to come into contact with other Sword Dao Techniques, it would be worth a try.

With his Hundredfold Critical Strike, as long as it is triggered and some success is achieved in the Sword Dao, it would provide significant assistance in his entire cultivation journey.

"Forget it, take it slow."

As his eyes flickered with light, Qi Chuan finally suppressed the fluctuations in his heart, sat cross-legged on the Flying Carpet, and began to calm his mind, preparing to cultivate the Evergreen Technique after settling down.

After all, traveling from Red Maple Valley to the Wind Moon Sect would certainly require some time.

...

Meanwhile, at the Wind Moon Sect.

At the top of a misty mountain, upon a cliff stood a large black rock.

On the rock, a figure in a Daoist robe was sitting cross-legged with eyes tightly closed.

This figure appeared youthful, with a ruddy complexion and exceptional handsomeness. His breath was long, yet his sword-like brows and sideburns were pure white, with a hint of melancholy hidden within.

The youth had an ethereal and transcendent air, sitting there, making the surroundings exude a sense of tranquility, as if everything around was suppressed by him.

Thud, thud.

At this moment, the sound of footsteps was heard.

From the path behind the cliff, an elderly figure appeared, arriving not far from the rock, bowing respectfully to the youth on the rock, and said with utmost reverence, "Supreme Elder, the disciple recruitment is about to begin."

After speaking, this elderly man cautiously raised his head, looking at the back of the youth on the rock.

However, the youth on the rock did not turn around upon hearing this, only responding faintly with a nod, resuming silence.

Clearly, such a minor matter could not elicit any response from him.

Looking at the youth's back, in the silence, the elderly man inexplicably felt a sense of solitude, sighing slightly in his heart.

This elderly man was none other than the Sect Leader of the Wind Moon Sect, already at the Foundation Establishment Perfection Realm, yet without hope of reaching Core Formation.

And the youth in the Daoist robe before him was the only Supreme Elder of the Wind Moon Sect, the Profound Sword True Master, an authentic Core Formation Realm Sword Cultivator!

A Sword Cultivator's strength is extraordinary. Ordinary Core Formation True Masters must be cautious when facing the Profound Sword True Master, for he possesses the power to kill Core Formation True Masters.

Over the years, relying on the formidable strength of the Profound Sword True Master, the Wind Moon Sect has flourished in the surrounding region, and few other sects dare to provoke it.

However, recently, during its peak period, the Wind Moon Sect faced a matter of life and death.

That is, the Profound Sword True Master is already advanced in age.

According to the lifespan of a Core Formation True Master, generally about five hundred years, the Profound Sword True Master probably has only a few decades left.

Once the Profound Sword True Master passes away, the vast Wind Moon Sect, without a Core Formation True Master to hold it up, will inevitably face a tremendous crisis, and by then, other sects will covet and aim at the Wind Moon Sect.

Unless a new Core Formation emerges, but the Sect Leader of the Wind Moon Sect knows he has no hope of reaching Core Formation, and his junior brothers lag behind significantly, unable to touch the threshold of Core Formation in a short time.

Under such circumstances, the Sect Leader might need to resort to external forces to reluctantly attain a Fake Pill, temporarily maintaining the sect, waiting for one of his junior brothers to achieve Core Formation to weather the crisis.

But this predicts that the Wind Moon Sect will only have one Fake Pill holder for a period, a transitional method fraught with many risks, knowing that the Celestial Soul Hall and others have long eyed the Wind Moon Sect covetously...

Thinking of these matters, the Sect Leader of the Wind Moon Sect felt a profound sense of worry in his heart.

As the elderly Sect Leader sighed inwardly, he suddenly heard the youth's voice.

"Have all suitable Foundation Establishments within the sect tried that thing?"

Upon hearing this, the elderly man quickly raised his head, respectfully replying, "Supreme Elder, we've tried, but to no effect…"

He knew what the Profound Sword True Master referred to, which was an opportunity item acquired not long ago from that Secret Realm.

This opportunity item, including himself and several junior brothers within the sect, have yet to decipher its mystery.

Yet the Supreme Elder seemed quite concerned about it, indicating there might be substantial opportunities hidden within?

Regrettably, they all seem to have no fate with this mystery.

"Then..."

At this moment, the youth's voice arose again.

"…Announce my decree: True Disciples are also allowed to comprehend that opportunity item. Upon success, a Foundation Establishment Pill will be granted."

Hearing this, the Sect Leader of the Wind Moon Sect's face slightly changed.
