Chapter 74 - Chapter 74: Staying for 3 Days

Upon tearing off the reverse scale, Shinga immediately quieted down, and Uchiha Yoichi also signaled Gates to stop.

"Become my Summoned Beast, Shinga."

Uchiha Yoichi directly stated the purpose of this visit, and without pampering this red giant snake: "You are not irreplaceable; my Gates is more useful. If you don't agree, Gates will have a hearty dinner tonight."

"Roar~"

Upon hearing this, Gates nodded his bear head excitedly, then licked the area around his mouth.

There's considerable energy inside Shinga; eating him would definitely be beneficial, and maybe devouring a few more could help him evolve to the mature stage.

The cave was silent for a moment, and seeing Shinga not speaking, Uchiha Yoichi directly turned to Gates and said, "Finish eating him later if you can't finish in one go, I'll store what's left with a storage scroll for you."

"Roar~"

Gates roared happily and then prepared to open his bear mouth and bite down.

"No, no, I agree, will Shinga be your Summoned Beast?"

"Shinga what?"

"It's Shinga, Shinga, no lordship, please don't let this bear eat me!"

After the reverse scale was torn off, Shinga's aggressive temper vanished, and now he was much calmer, naturally unwilling to become the bear's dinner.

Faced with these two enemies, separately he might have confidence against one; the bear's power was odd, but he was too small; however, together, he couldn't withstand them.

To avoid getting eaten, Shinga had no choice but to agree.

"Let's sign the Summoning Contract."

Uchiha Yoichi ordered Gates to release Shinga, and man and snake began to sign the Summoning Contract. Gates reluctantly grunted at Shinga, berating him for being timid and afraid of dying.

Had Shinga maintained his dignity, Gates could have had a feast and shortened his time to maturity.

While creating the summoning scroll, Uchiha Yoichi noticed Gates with a glance; once he too had been subdued, and now he berated Shinga.

After the Summoning Contract was signed, Uchiha Yoichi then asked, "What effect does tearing off the reverse scale have on you?"

"I'm not strong enough; to recover, I'll need at least a few months of rest; Master, I can't help you in battle during this period."

Facing Uchiha Yoichi now, Shinga was well-behaved; he realized this master didn't buy into his aggressive temperament, and if he got aggressive, he might become snake stew.

With a dumb bear always watching him from the side, Shinga had no choice but to suppress his temper.

Fortunately, without his reverse scale, Shinga's temper had genuinely lessened a lot now.

Uchiha Yoichi said, "No worries, I know your previous summoning contract was with the Hidden Sand Village's Third Generation Kazekage. He might be dead now. Try using Reverse Summoning Jutsu to call him."

He then worried Shinga might not know the person was the Third Generation Kazekage, and explained that after his situation, Shinga's previous master became the Kazekage.

"Dead?"

When Shinga heard this news, he was stunned for a while, then suddenly raised his snake head and laughed aloud, as if venting.

The laughter was so loud that Uchiha Yoichi couldn't help covering his ears, but he knew Shinga had been betrayed by the Third Generation Kazekage, and upon hearing this great news, he must be venting.

Only after calming down did Shinga speak to Uchiha Yoichi: "Sorry Master, couldn't control myself after hearing that news..."

"It's okay, I sought you out knowing your story."

Uchiha Yoichi continued, "I'm not sure about this news, so try using Reverse Summoning Jutsu first."

"Understood."

After Shinga finished speaking, he wiggled his tail, then used his own method to perform Reverse Summoning Jutsu.

Bang!

Smoke appeared, then quickly dispersed.

Seeing the situation, Shinga instantly rejoiced and said, "Master, that bastard is indeed dead; my Summoning Jutsu wasn't rejected but simply didn't get any response."

"Alright, I see. Here's your reverse scale back. Rest well; I'll be around nearby in the coming months, other than summoning you to confirm the Third Generation Kazekage's death, spend your time healing."

Then Uchiha Yoichi turned to Gates and said, "Gates, shrink down and head back, it's done here."

"Roar~"

"There'll be food at home too, if it's not enough ask Minami."

Bang!

After speaking, Uchiha Yoichi then dispelled his Summoning Jutsu, sending Gates back to Konoha.

After which, he instructed Shinga to rest well, preparing himself to leave Ryuchi Cave and return to the village above ground.

In the next three days, he planned to use up remaining opportunities in the village, the more Natural Energy absorbed, the higher the success rate for cultivating the Immortal Technique.

If he could manage a complete constitution, cultivating Immortal Technique might be easy.

"You've really subdued Shinga!"

Uchiha Yoichi had just left the cave where Shinga resided, and suddenly, a blue-haired young girl appeared beside him.

"What's hard about subduing Shinga; subduing you three Snake Princesses would be a challenge. Were you waiting for Shinga to defeat me and then eat me?"

Uchiha Yoichi glanced at Ichikishimahime, one day he'd reveal her true form and defeat her.

"Humph!"

Ichikishimahime's thoughts were exposed, so she floated leisurely ahead.

"Where are you going? Guiding me?"

"Of course, this is the Snake Cave. Without me, you'd have been eaten a long time ago."

"Without you, my Earth Bear would have had a feast; the snakes grown here are much more attractive to it than outside wild beasts."

"Humph, ungrateful!"

Ichikishimahime snorted coldly but didn't leave, instead leisurely guiding down the path.

At the entrance to Ryuchi Cave, Ichikishimahime stopped and prepared to head back. Uchiha Yoichi spoke, "Tell the White Snake Sage I'll return to train in Immortal Technique later."

Ichikishimahime didn't speak and soon vanished.

Immortal Technique requires high Chakra, and Uchiha Yoichi's current Chakra amount could still increase, far from peak. Unless he manages to steal a few more constitutions absorbing Natural Energy or achieves enough Chakra, he would come to train in the Immortal Technique.

Exiting Ryuchi Cave, a middle-aged village chief saw Uchiha Yoichi and curiously asked, "Did you find the Holy Land?"

"Found it, but I'll stay here for three days and leave afterwards."

Uchiha Yoichi told the village chief, then noticed the chief's hesitant expression and said, "Don't think about entering, Chief; you haven't even trained in Chakra. To cure the madness symptoms, join a Ninja Village."

To remedy their madness, mastering Immortal Technique or enhancing one's Chakra to suppress Natural Energy were the two solutions.

Other than these methods, entering Ryuchi Cave wouldn't help, only lead to being eaten.
