Opening his arms and aiming them at Piccolo, he shouted: "Change!"
"What?!"
The moment Piccolo was locked onto, he found his body unable to move.
Just as Ginyu's Body Change beam shot out, Piccolo instantly unleashed the hidden power within his body.
In an instant, the scouters worn by the Ginyu Force all exploded.
The terrifying surge of combat power allowed Piccolo to break free from Ginyu's control.
Now it was Ginyu's turn to be horrified. He had never imagined the Namekian could reach such strength!
Piccolo's expression hardened.
"I don't know what that move of yours was just now, but I can't allow you to use it again."
"This… this is impossible!" Ginyu was trembling. The Namekian could kill him at any second.
The instant Piccolo dodged his Body Change, Ginyu knew he was doomed. How could his power be this terrifying?!
Piccolo raised his right palm, "Don't even think of escaping!"
He unleashed a massive energy blast.
BOOM!!
Ginyu was blown apart, his body completely destroyed.
With their captain gone, the remaining members of the Ginyu Force didn't last long either.
The Z Warriors quickly finished them off.
Krillin and the others gathered around Piccolo, still in shock.
"Piccolo… you're incredible. The energy you just released was beyond imagination!"
Tien Shinhan could only shake his head.
"Yes… the gap between us is growing wider and wider. At this rate, catching up to Piccolo is impossible."
Meanwhile, Frieza was enraged about Vegeta stealing the Dragon Balls.
But when he checked his scouter, he realized the Ginyu Force's signals had vanished.
Frowning, he muttered, "The Ginyu Force is gone? Could someone else have interfered? And for their power to vanish so suddenly…"
He activated his scouter again, but the overwhelming energy readings caused it to explode in his hand.
"What?! Such high combat power?!" Frieza's face darkened. "The Ginyu Force wiped out…? Interesting. Then I'll see for myself."
Without hesitation, Frieza shot into the sky, heading toward the source of the power.
Although the enemy's strength exceeded his scouter's limit, Frieza still believed no one in the universe could rival him. He was Emperor Frieza, after all.
Vegeta, sensing Frieza's movements, clenched his fists.
"So, Frieza is making his move. If I'm right, he's going after whoever destroyed the Ginyu Force. I'll have to see for myself whether that warrior is from Earth… and confirm if Kakarot has made it to Namek."
With that, Vegeta also sped off in the same direction.
Back with the Z Warriors, Piccolo suddenly stiffened.
"A powerful aura is coming this way. This must be the true enemy. I'll fight him. The rest of you—stay back so you don't get caught up."
Tien Shinhan, Yamcha, Krillin, Chiaotzu, and Gohan all nodded in agreement. They knew only Piccolo stood a chance.
On Earth, inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Goku finally stepped out after nearly a year of training.
His progress had been astounding.
His base power, once around 20 million, had now reached an incredible 100 million.
This limit had already been achieved two months earlier, but since then, he discovered something troubling—conventional training no longer improved his base strength.
To grow further, he would need new methods.
During this year, however, Goku had also naturally pushed into the realm of Super Saiyan 2.
"Not only that…" he muttered, clenching his fists, "I think I'm starting to understand the path toward Super Saiyan 3."
Much of his progress came thanks to the foundation of having once tapped into Super Saiyan 4.
Because of that breakthrough, achieving Super Saiyan 2 and even 3 was possible.
Now, in his forms:
Super Saiyan 1: Power Level — 5 billion
Super Saiyan 2: Power Level — 10 billion
Super Saiyan 4: Power Level — at least 400 billion
Previously, he could barely hold Super Saiyan 4 for half a minute. Now, he could last about a full minute before his body broke down.
Though short, it was enough to guarantee victory against nearly any foe.
With a single strike, battles could be decided instantly.
But his base form had hit a wall. If he wanted to go further, he'd need guidance.
I'll have to ask King Kai for advice.
Stepping out of the Time Chamber and breathing the fresh air, Goku smiled.
"For now, I'll relax a little. A good balance between work and rest is the safest way."
