Chapter 349 - Chapter 161: The Future Foreseen by Gellert (Update 1)

When it comes to annoying the Scarhead, Gellert never holds back.

Early the next morning, Aberforth arrived punctually at Newt's tent.

The two of them sat across from each other at the breakfast table, both with sour faces, looking as if they couldn't stand the sight of each other.

"What are you looking at?" Aberforth asked coldly.

"I'm looking at the goat," Gellert whistled at the little goat Aberforth was holding, "Goat boy, your sister-in-law doesn't look like she's from around here."

Unlike what Gellert had imagined, Aberforth was not as furious or defenseless as he had expected; instead, he laughed.

"What are you laughing at?" Gellert asked.

"They all say you're a Sniff—I heard it from Harry, he gave you the nickname 'Nifflet,'" Aberforth said leisurely, "But I don't think it suits you. You shouldn't be a Sniff."

Gellert leaned back slightly, taking another look at the goat boy sitting across from him.

"I didn't expect you to seem like a normal person, goat boy," he said.

"Oh, no." Aberforth took the teacup Tina handed him and thanked her, "Thanks—besides, I just think you're unworthy of being a Sniff—by the way, Newt, how many does a Sniff's litter have?"

He aimed that question at Newt.

"A litter gives birth to six to eight, Aberforth," Newt replied with his head down.

"You see," Aberforth put down the teacup in his hand and said in a leisurely tone, "at least a Sniff's litter can birth six to eight, whereas some people can't produce even one, leading to the Grindelwald family dying out, leaving his sister worried."

A small vein popped on Gellert's forehead.

He really was defenseless, absolutely defenseless.

The Grindelwald Clan's infertility issue is an eternal pain for his sister—for this, he also took quite a few beatings.

Vivi has even been considering lately to find a few girlfriends for Gellert, burdening him with the responsibility of continuing the Grindelwald family line.

It's just that Vivi still wants a few Grindelwalds to inherit the family, rather than a Grindelwald-Potter like Habsburg-Lorraine.

At this point, Aberforth couldn't resist twisting the knife in Gellert's heart.

"I think 'Mulert' suits you better, don't you think, Newt?"

Hearing this nickname, Newt couldn't help but grin.

One has to admit, Aberforth, this man... not only has a volatile temper but also a remarkably sharp tongue.

Gellert was almost red with temper, which was truly the greatest insult to him.

Mules are hybrids of donkey and horse that are highly infertile due to the different number of chromosomes in donkeys and horses, leading to abnormal chromosome numbers in their hybrid offspring, preventing normal meiotic division, thus resulting in infertility.

Moreover, mules have similar habits to both horses and donkeys, with a relatively balanced nervous type, curious and inclined to watch when encountering new things. They have better sociability than horses, but are more stubborn; if not properly trained or managed, they easily develop bad habits.

This also implies that Gellert, after losing his sister's discipline, became a Dark Wizard...

One has to say, Aberforth's tongue is indeed scathing.

"Enough, I'm not here to listen to this!" Gellert snorted, "Besides, our greater plan requires your cooperation, Aberforth."

"Don't talk to me about this, Mulert." Aberforth patted the little goat in his arms, "You should know, I've long since seen through your tricks; your Silver Tongue has no effect on me."

The so-called 'Silver Tongue' is a play on the idiom "speech is silver, silence is golden."

Gellert is quite eloquent, so they gave him such a nickname.

"Scamander has already agreed to cooperate with me." Gellert did not feel discouraged, tirelessly trying to persuade, "Think about it, Aberforth, even Newt believes me, why are you still unwilling to trust?"

"I will never believe your tricks, Mulert." Aberforth snorted and said, he looked at Newt, somewhat exasperated, "And you too, Newt, why would you believe his nonsense? Does this kind of person have any credibility at all?"

Newt sighed.

He actually didn't want to cooperate with Gellert, but the olive branch Gellert offered was too tempting.

He knew very well that with Miss Grindelwald's level, wanting to carve a bloody path and win Potter was really too difficult.

"There's no way, Aberforth." Newt said in a low voice, "I'm also temporarily choosing to cooperate with him for my aunt's happiness…"

"Oh come on, Newt." Aberforth said, angry at his lack of independent judgment, "Think about Queenie and those poor people deceived by Mulert—they too were attracted by the pie Grindelwald drew, but in reality? He's only after his own undisclosed purposes!"

"I warn you, Godric's Hollow goats, I fight for all the wizards in the world! It was you who backstabbed me!" Gellert angrily refuted.

However, no one was listening to his words; these arguments had been heard countless times over the years.

"Miss Grindelwald is really too strong, I really have no way, I have no way..." Newt said in a low voice, "Only by cooperating with him can I have the opportunity to let my aunt be with Harry…"

Aberforth's head popped up with a question mark.

Is it?

Sometimes when I type a question mark, it's not that I have a problem, it's that I think you have a problem.
