"Because Salazar seems to be someone originally from the Iberian Peninsula," Principal Fitzgerald said. "'Salazar' comes from the surname of a Portuguese family, and it can sometimes be spelled as 'Salasar'."
"So that's why!" Harry exclaimed, no wonder the Snake Monster was named Alfonso.
A week flew by in the blink of an eye, and Harry welcomed his Christmas holidays.
During this time, Harry didn't idle; in his spare moments, he began preparing Christmas gifts for everyone.
For example, for Snape's gift, it was the snake shedding he found in the Secret Chamber; Dumbledore's gift was a jar of cockroach pile...
For Pabi's gift, Harry carefully selected some berries that unicorns love to eat and sent them early, via owl, to the Alchemy House.
But according to Pabi, she's found her nephew—Newt Scamander and Theseus Scamander.
Pabi said Newt Scamander is considering applying to be the professor of the Magical Creatures Protection Class at Hogwarts next semester.
Dumbledore has mentioned this more than once to Mr. Scamander; the original professor of the Magical Creatures Protection Class was overwhelmed and wanted to resign long ago, but Mr. Scamander repeatedly declined due to his busy schedule.
But this time, for his aunt, he's taking on the responsibility.
Since he's Pabi's nephew, I can certainly speak on this, Harry thought, and he wrote a letter to Pabi asking her to help persuade Mr. Scamander to let Hagrid be his assistant... or rather, his aide.
Harry has always remembered Hagrid's dream—not just raising dragons; this big lovable friend is also eager for others' approval.
So let him start as an aide to Mr. Scamander; after all, they share the same hobby, and Mr. Scamander is Hagrid's idol.
This is the Christmas gift Harry prepared for Hagrid.
As for Ron... Harry prepared some chess manuals for him, all written by people who were particularly good at Wizard Chess; Hermione's gift was a pair of Two-Sided Mirrors so she could talk to her parents anytime, anywhere.
For Neville, the gift was a bundle of herb seeds; it's hard to say whether it's a gift or a burden for Neville.
And Seamus's gift was some advanced guides on the Blast Curse; Harry planned for him to really advance in explosive spells.
After preparing the gifts, Harry arranged for Hogwarts' owls to deliver them, while he himself headed to Diagon Alley for the holidays.
His first stop in Diagon Alley was knocking on Black Witch Farina's door.
"Who is it?" Farina's impatient voice sounded.
She walked to the door, opened it, and found it was Harry.
"Long time no see, my employee." Harry said to Farina.
The Soul-snatching Curse had long lost its effect, but the extremely fearful Farina dared not run away—from her body, Harry had placed a marked spell.
No matter where she fled, Harry could find her.
"You..." Farina hesitantly asked.
"Oh, I want to ask you for a little favor," Harry said. "Come on, do I do it myself, or will you?"
"I'll do it myself." Farina said quite forthrightly.
Harry opened his wallet and called to Alfonso inside using Serpent Tongue: "Alfonso, I'm sending someone down—keep an eye on it, don't open your eyes, if you scare someone to death, I won't throw meat down for you to eat anymore!"
"Alright, master!" Alfonso hissed in response.
Farina had already jumped aside in horror when Harry began speaking.
Damn it, just who is the Dark Wizard here—me or you?!
How the heck can you speak Serpent Tongue?!
As everyone knows, Serpent Tongue is the signature of Dark Wizards...
"Come on." Harry opened his wallet.
Farina closed her eyes and jumped in.
She thought it would be a solid floor inside, but instead she found herself landing on something icy cold.
"Hiss... hiss hiss... (Hello)" Alfonso closed his eyes, felt the temperature, and moved his face close to Farina.
In front of Farina was pitch black, and she only felt a cool voice sounding in her ear.
She braced herself and picked up her magic wand.
"Lumos!"
The result was unfortunate; she regretted it, deeply regretted it.
Had I only known, I wouldn't have illuminated it!
In front of her was a snake head the size of a Fire Dragon's head, and the snake head was sticking its tongue out at her while its eyes were still closed.
"Ah————!!"
Farina let out a sharp scream.
Harry didn't care what reaction his employee might have; Alfonso had promised not to harm the other, so it wasn't a problem.
He leaned his head, looked into Farina's room.
It should be said that Farina wasn't a good person either; a youngster with heavy dark circles under his eyes was tied up inside.
The youth appeared to be only fifteen or sixteen, with strikingly handsome looks—even those panda-like dark circles couldn't hide his charm.
"Hey? Wake up?" Harry walked over and patted the youngster's cheek.
Who would have thought the first thing the youth would say when awakening was, "I'm definitely done for today! Spare me, Sister Farina!"
"You're free," Harry said, "Farina is suspected of illegal detention; we've arrested her."
"Cool!" the teenager smiled. "Are you a cop in the Wizard world? That's amazing, I thought I'd die here... My name's Chris, Chris Wellesley."
