Chapter 97 - Chapter 91: Oh No, I've Become a Soul Artifact! (2 x 4000 Words)

This was a magic spell developed together with Vivi initially, and the flame is the legendary Eternal Flame—Ancient Burei Immortal Fire!

To master this flame, Harry put in unimaginable efforts and perspiration.

"Protego Gubraithian (Fire Shield)!"

Harry recited the spell, and the flame blazed more fiercely.

This is a flame that can burn forever without needing fuel!

Voldemort's eyes widened in shock, staring at Harry, unable to believe that a first-year freshman could wield such advanced magic.

The last time he heard about this spell using fire as protection was last time... the signature spell of that dark wizard Grindelwald whom Dumbledore defeated.

But...

Grindelwald's flame was Fiery Fire.

And the flame of Potter in front of him... is Ancient Burei Immortal Fire.

Ancient Burei Immortal Fire, also known as Eternal Flame, is a flame enchanted with magic to burn eternally.

This is an extremely advanced magic, as only very few wizards can achieve it.

Most importantly, this isn't dark magic.

This spell is too advanced, and Hogwarts' curriculum doesn't plan to teach students this spell.

Even a hundred years ago, almost no students mastered Ancient Burei Immortal Fire.

Harry gradually mastered this flame by studying the magic spell book Cassandra took from the Malfoy family's library.

Using Ancient Burei Immortal Fire as protection was Villatia's concept.

Using this Eternal Flame in place of Armor Protection has an excellent effect.

The fiery serpent summoned by Voldemort violently shook its head, trying to break through Harry's fire barrier, but couldn't shake it one bit.

With the Magic Stone as a backing, Harry's spell strength has reached an unprecedented level.

As the energy of the Magic Stone gradually faded, Harry felt that inner instinct grow stronger, as if it was about to burst forth, breaking free of bodily restraints.

Following his instincts, he waved his wand, turning a nearby stone block into a barrel of explosive, which howled and hurled toward Voldemort.

Voldemort's heart jolted fiercely, and he cast an Armor Protection, not expecting the explosive barrel to detonate directly, and under the impact wave, he staggered back a few steps.

Harry took advantage and cast a Disarming Spell at the staggering Voldemort.

After all, being a dark wizard of great notoriety, even in a critical moment like this, Voldemort unhurriedly flicked his wand to deflect the spell, and returned a Crucio to Harry.

Ancient Burei Immortal Fire swept over and devoured the incoming Crucio completely.

Harry waved his wand, and overhead Voldemort, thunder began to rumble.

"What kind of spell is this?!" A sense of foreboding rose in Voldemort's heart as he quickly retreated, but the thunder followed him incessantly, like a persistent pest.

Helplessly, he had to strengthen the defense above.

But unfortunately, he was merely a fragmented soul, borrowing Quirrell's lifeless body, unable to exert even a tenth of his power.

The sense of foreboding in Voldemort's heart grew stronger. He sent a Killing Curse to Harry, taking the opportunity to transform into black smoke, leaving Quirrell's body.

In that instant, an eye-catching bolt of lightning descended from the sky, striking Quirrell's body directly.

The lightning-scorched Quirrell's broken body turned utterly black, as if cleansed by high-voltage electricity.

Harry aimed his wand at Voldemort's fragment of soul, but just as he was about to cast a spell, a sense of foreboding suddenly appeared, tingling from his neck to his nape.

He quickly rolled aside, and then he heard a voice.

"Avada Kedavra (Killing Curse)!"

The deadly green light skimmed past Harry, striking the ground without causing any impact.

Harry swiftly turned, and Voldemort's fragment of soul took advantage, swirling a wind to escape.

He looked around but couldn't discern where or who cast that spell.

The attacker who cast the spell seemed not to have any further intention of attacking him.

Not daring to drop his guard, Harry nudged his wand upward slightly, expanding the protective scope of Ancient Burei Immortal Fire.

"Revelio (Revelation)!"

Still no response, Harry sensed no existence of any hostile life form.

Meanwhile, the energy of the Magic Stone finally got absorbed.

A wave of dizziness struck, and Harry felt the world spinning, staggering and falling onto Quirrell's body.

The charred remains of Professor Quirrell disintegrated into dust upon contact with Harry's body.

Before he lost consciousness, he used his last bit of strength to toss the dark wizard's wand into the flames.

Harry did not remove Ancient Burei Immortal Fire's protection, but what he did not know was that the person who cast the Killing Curse had already left the underground chamber.

However, Voldemort wasn't as fortunate; when he spun out of the underground chamber, reaching the edge of the Forbidden Forest, he encountered a Slytherin ghostly beauty with flowing black hair.

He instinctively felt it was familiar, yet couldn't recall where he had seen it.

The ghost swooped in without any warning, tearing a significant fragment from his soul body turning into black mist.

"Who... who on earth are you?!" Voldemort asked incredulously.

The ghost didn't respond but continued to tear away three large fragments of soul, finally revealing a satisfied smile, beckoning to the side.

A notebook extraordinarily familiar to Voldemort appeared before him.
