Chapter 14 - Tsugikuni Yoriichi

As expected of his lucky goddess, she really delivered.

The scene continued, ten meteors of various colors fell, and finally, ten character cards appeared.

There was one gold, two blue, three green, and four white.

The character cards were revealed one by one, starting from the lowest tier. The lowest tier was white, essentially cannon fodder—unlucky individuals in anime who flash by and die without anyone remembering their names.

The next tier up was green, one level higher than white, but still cannon fodder.

Above green was blue, which belonged to the minor elite level. For example, the Chunin he initially drew might also be a character with no lines, but they had some strength.

Above blue was purple. This stage was already very good. In Naruto, it would be the Jonin level. In One Piece, it would be a pirate with a bounty of over 100 million, or a Warlord of the Sea.

Above purple was gold. In Naruto, this was above Kage-level. In One Piece, it meant the Three Admirals, the Four Emperors or the like. In Bleach, it was Captain-level.

Soon, the last golden card was revealed.

Takeshi's eyes widened. 'It's actually him.'

On the character card, a man dressed as a samurai, wearing a red haori, with long dark red hair tied in a high ponytail, red irises, and earrings depicting the sun hanging from his ears, was seen. Most strikingly, there was a strange mark on his forehead. He held a red sword, and just standing there, he exuded a terrifying sense of oppression.

Tsugikuni Yoriichi.

The absolute pinnacle in Demon Slayer.

Takeshi had watched many anime, and there were many powerful characters, but there would always be others with similar or comparable strength.

But Yoriichi was different, he was the absolute pinnacle. Whenever the strongest was mentioned, he was the first character that came to mind.

From birth, he possessed unparalleled talent, creating Sun Breathing. The five basic Breathing Styles that followed were merely crude imitations. Even with numerous geniuses improving various Breathing Styles to create their own, they couldn't even reach the tier below Sun Breathing, let alone surpass it.

The strongest boss in Demon Slayer, Muzan, was instantly defeated by Yoriichi in one encounter, barely escaping by self-destructing. Afterwards, when Yoriichi was alive, he didn't dare show his face, only daring to act after he died.

In the anime's grand finale, all members of the Demon Slayer Corps collectively attacked Muzan, using every means possible, yet still suffered heavy casualties. In the end, it was the sunlight that killed Muzan.

Takeshi had only one evaluation for Yoriichi: a god among men.

Compared to powerhouses in other anime who could easily destroy an island or a country, Yoriichi clearly didn't have that kind of power. But standing face-to-face with Yoriichi, even a god would have to be on high alert.

You might be able to destroy the world, but I can kill you.

Takeshi lightly tapped his finger, recycling all characters except Ulquiorra and Yoriichi. To prevent accidentally recycling a golden one, he double-checked carefully. If he were to recycle a gold, he would regret it for a lifetime.

[Are you sure you want to recycle all selected characters?]

'Yes.'

[Ding! Recycling successful! Host's magic power has increased by ☆!]

'System, these were two blue characters. Why is it still only half a star increase in magic power?'

[The higher the magic power, the greater the difficulty of advancement. Everything is properly calculated. If Host wishes to get more magic power, he can recycle higher-quality characters.]

'You're ruthless.'

The system still gave such a formal answer. He would have to be crazy to recall a gold character.

Takeshi opened his personal panel.

[Host: Takeshi]

[Age: 18]

[Race: Human]

[Magic Power: ★★]

[Magic: Take Over Magic]

[Character Cards: Ulquiorra Cifer (Gold), Tsugikuni Yoriichi (Gold)]

Full Take Over! Tsugikuni Yoriichi!

As Takeshi activated Take Over Magic, his hair quickly grew long, and his clothes began to change. In just a moment, he transformed into Yoriichi. Except for his face, which remained his own, there was no significant difference from Yoriichi.

Yoriichi's memories also emerged in Takeshi's mind. From birth, Yoriichi was different. The world in his eyes was not the same as others. He could use Transparent World, where people appeared transparent to him.

He could see the rise and fall of a living being's heart and lungs, the flow of blood vessels, and the contraction of muscles. He could also understand his own muscle contractions more clearly, thus easily predicting his opponent's movements, and greatly increasing his attack and evasion speed.

The first time he touched a sword, he defeated a veteran swordsman. Later, he created Sun Breathing. After joining the Demon Slayer Corps, he taught them Breathing Styles, enabling the Demon Slayer Corps to possess the ability to contend with demons.

Upon encountering Muzan, he severely wounded him with one strike, forcing Muzan to self-destruct and flee.

Finally, he met his elder brother, Kokushibo, and ultimately, due to familial affection, he held back, dying after delivering one last sword strike.

"Hoo..."

After watching Yoriichi's memories, Takeshi took a deep breath, his heart still filled with shock.

He found that the anime had been too conservative. The real Yoriichi was far more powerful than what was shown in the anime.

Takeshi began to use Sun Breathing. A powerful force instantly surged within his body. This was not an energy-based power, but one derived from the physical body. He felt his physical abilities greatly improving, and at the same time, his magic power was rapidly depleting.

A short while later, he released the transformation and returned to his original appearance.

"Hoo!"

A profound sense of disparity arose in Takeshi's heart. It felt like going from a super genius to an idiot.

The difference between his talent and Yoriichi's was simply too vast.

Just then, his body instinctively began to use Sun Breathing.

Exhale! Inhale!

As he used Sun Breathing, Takeshi felt that his body was filled with immense power.

He was stunned. Hadn't he already deactivated Take Over Magic? Why could he still use the Breathing Style?

When in doubt, ask the system.

'System, why can I still use the Breathing Style now?'
