Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage, had few allies he trusted completely; someone with Hiashi's sheer power and vast experience in clan management was a rare and valuable asset.
Currently, Hiashi serves as a Senior Counselor to the Hokage. Rather than the quiet retirement he had envisioned, his burden had grown heavier, and his political authority in the village had reached its zenith.

Minato himself functioned as the ultimate arbiter, overseeing his own "New ANBU" and frequently visiting the Academy as the honorary principal to cement his bond with the next generation.

"Graduation? In April," Hinata replied. She was focused on her food. A stack of empty bowls nearly ten centimeters high sat before her, yet her pace didn't slacken.
In this world, Hinata's legendary appetite didn't make her chubby; instead, the massive intake of energy fueled her physical growth and vitality. As she approached her teens, she was already losing her childish roundness, developing into a strong, healthy kunoichi.
"Is the exam difficult?" Shinichi asked. He rarely pried into her school life, but today his curiosity was piqued.
"The exam is easy. I'll pass without any trouble," Hinata said confidently. She looked at her brother with a puzzled expression. "Brother, why are you asking? You're usually busier than Father."
"Just curious. What do you plan to do after you become a Genin? Are you interested in the Sensory Squad? Or perhaps the Medical Corps?"
Shinichi was already planning her future. In the original timeline, Hinata was a field Genin on a sensory-specialized team, but her development was often stagnant. Here, with the Hyuga controlling the village's Sensory Squad, she could have a safe, prestigious career close to home. Medical Ninjutsu was also a great fit for the Byakugan.
To his surprise, Hinata put down her chopsticks and frowned. "The Sensory Squad? The Medical Corps? Why would I want to go there?"
Hanako chided her gently for her tone, but Hinata quickly flashed a bright smile at Shinichi. "I didn't mean it like that, Brother. I just mean... I want to be a regular Genin. I want an experienced Jōnin to lead me on real missions out in the field!"
Shinichi caught the subtext. In this timeline, Hinata wasn't the stuttering, shy girl from the original story. She was the "Big Sister" of the Academy, often leading a group of her peers. She wanted to be where the action—and Naruto—was.
The Birth of the New Team 7
April arrived, and the graduation results were promptly delivered to Minato's desk. As the Hokage, he began the arduous task of balancing team compositions based on grades, personalities, and clan politics. He even asked Hiashi for his input.
For Naruto's team, however, Minato had made his decision long ago. He recalled his top student, Kakashi Hatake, from his position as an ANBU Captain to serve as the lead instructor.
The lineup for the new Team 7 was a powerhouse of noble bloodlines:
Lead Jōnin: Kakashi Hatake
Genin: Naruto Namikaze (The Hokage's Son)
Genin: Sasuke Uchiha (The Uchiha Prodigy)

The original "Team 7" member, Sakura Haruno, was reassigned to Team 8 with Shino and Kiba under Kurenai Yuhi. Minato noted Sakura's high intelligence and talent for Genjutsu, making her a perfect fit for a specialized tracker/illusionist squad led by a female master like Kurenai.
The stage was set. The next generation of Konoha's elite was ready to step out from the shadows of the Academy and into the light of the world.
