Chapter 3 - GWPF Chapter 3: Stranded in Kamui, A Helping Hand?

"So you're saying, Lady Furina inexplicably shouted in terror at the sky, and then fell asleep?"

In the Palais Mermonia, Furina lay on a soft, luxurious bed, surrounded by various familiar people.

The one speaking was Neuvillette, the Hydro Dragon Sovereign who also served as the Chief Justice of Fontaine.

Surrounding him were many guards, as well as Clorinde and others, and even Sigewinne had come.

"That's right, I've launched an investigation, but the cause is still unclear, it's my dereliction of duty."

Clorinde nodded slightly, her tone carrying some apology.

Hearing Clorinde's apology, Neuvillette didn't speak, but frowned and stared at Furina.

Even he couldn't figure out why Furina had fainted, so it was indeed a bit difficult for Clorinde in that sudden situation.

Sigewinne, holding various medical devices, carefully examined Furina and shook her head with some distress.

"I'm very sorry, Lord Neuvillette, I didn't find any problems. Lady Furina's body is very healthy and she's enjoying a sweet sleep."

"Even Sigewinne can't figure it out..."

Neuvillette's heart sank. Just as he was about to ask something else, some staff members came and handed some reports to the guards before leaving.

Receiving the report from the guard's hand, it was more complex work issues.

"Hmm..."

After glancing over it, Neuvillette looked at Clorinde and said, "Lady Furina is in your care. Some situations have occurred in the Court of Fontaine that I need to handle."

"Understood, I definitely won't fail this time." Clorinde nodded solemnly.

...

Inside the Kamui Dimension:

Furina's delicate body lay on the ground. After a moment, her eyelashes fluttered slightly, and she woke up groggily.

"Where is this..."

Not yet aware of the important things, Furina got up from the ground in confusion, constantly looking around.

"What is this place...? So... so scary..."

The pitch-black environment and the hard floor made Furina hug her body involuntarily, her legs trembling constantly.

Her exquisite eyes were full of panic and fear.

"Is... is anyone there...?"

It was deathly silent, without any sound, as if she had been glitched out of the world.

There wasn't even an echo, only the boundless darkness affecting Furina's panicked heart.

"No no... don't do this... please..."

"Someone, please!!"

"Is anyone there——?!!"

Filled with fear, Furina looked around nervously, shouting loudly, but there was only darkness everywhere, which made her even more unbearable.

Just as she was about to shed tears, an abrupt voice sounded.

"Hello, Furina."

"Who!!"

Furina was like a frightened rabbit, so scared that her legs went weak and she fell to the ground, letting out a cry of pain.

"Ugh... that hurts..."

Clutching her sore knee, she curled up tightly.

"Who are you?!" Furina's voice was full of vigilance, trying to cover up her panicked heart, and then she tried to suppress her facial expressions, trying to put on her usual arrogant tsundere facade.

"You're a fan who admires me, right?!"

Momoshiki, suspended in the dark sky: "?"

"To think you'd try to get my Focalors' attention in this way, it's simply unforgivable!"

"But I have to admit, as a mortal, you were able to pull me into this strange place silently, it truly amazes me."

"Therefore! In view of your excellent performance, I have decided to pardon your impolite crimes! Now send me back to the Palais Mermonia, and I can pretend nothing happened!"

As she spoke, Furina, slumped on the ground, raised her arms high and tilted her head back, saying:

"Cheer! Rejoice! My dear citizens, even if you have committed the crime of blaspheming the gods, I will still not pursue your responsibility. What other god in the world is as wise as I, the Hydro Archon Focalors!"

After Furina finished shouting with exaggerated body movements, the Kamui Dimension fell into a deathly silence again...

"Wh... what's going on..." The nervousness that Furina had finally calmed down rose again.

Why is there no reaction! Shouldn't he appear at this time, then sing his own praises, and then respectfully send himself back to the Palais Mermonia?!

How is this different from what I imagined...

The naive silly Furina looked like she had never experienced the beatings of society, and her helpless expression was written all over her little face.

"Hmm..."

A low voice came from the dark space, making Furina's heart skip a beat and her body shiver.

But fortunately, the unknown existence in the darkness didn't hurt her, nor did it do anything excessive, but slowly opened his mouth.

"Let me introduce myself, my name is Momoshiki Otsutsuki, from the Otsutsuki clan from another world."

"From another world?"

Furina's expression froze. How did things develop in a direction she didn't expect again?

"I don't understand, what do you want from me?" Furina's voice trembled slightly.

Since the other party wasn't from Fontaine, she was helpless. After all, she was just the Hydro Archon's performer, not the real Hydro Archon, without any divine power, almost the same as an ordinary person.

Encountering this situation, she could only become the fish on the chopping board, at the mercy of this unknown guy.

Thinking of this, Furina bit her lip, and a few crystal tears appeared in the corners of her eyes.

If something happened to her, she could only make the worst plan...

Failing to stop the prophecy, all the people of Fontaine would dissolve in the sea, leaving only the Hydro Archon sitting on the throne crying...

I don't want that to happen!

A patter came from the floor, and the crystal-clear little pearls shattered into tears on the ground.

Seeing Furina's appearance, Momoshiki, who originally wanted to tease her, suddenly felt a pang of conscience and wanted to slap himself.

She's already pitiful enough, and I wanted to scare her, I really deserve to die!

"I'm sorry for suddenly disturbing you." Momoshiki tried to soften his voice, giving himself a harmless feeling, trying to comfort Furina.

"Please rest assured, I don't have any malice, on the contrary, I will unconditionally help you and give you powerful strength."

"Finally... huh?!"

Furina, who was about to resign herself to fate, was stunned and looked up incredulously, looking around in the darkness.

"You you you... what did you just say?!!"

"I said, I will unconditionally help you and give you powerful strength, so you can do anything you want to do."

"Re... really...?" Swallowing, Furina's eyes were full of disbelief.

"Of course." Momoshiki smiled slightly.

Getting a definite answer, Furina's face was immediately filled with joy, but then she asked, "Why..."

Although Furina is usually quite ditzy, she at least knows that there is no free lunch in the world, and all good things require a price to be paid.

Unconditional things are absolutely non-existent, this is the dramatic reality.

"It's a long story, why don't I give you some power first, so you can see your surroundings, so we can talk face to face."

Hearing that Momoshiki was going to give her power now, Furina hesitated for a moment, but finally nodded.

She got up from the ground, brushed off the dust on her body, and the timidity in her eyes became a little firmer.

Although she didn't know when the prophecy would happen, the sea water already showed signs of rising, so it was obviously soon.

But she was just an ordinary person and couldn't protect the people of Fontaine at all. She also didn't know what the mysterious person in the mirror wanted her to do, so she needed power, a power that could protect everyone.

Because of her determination to protect Fontaine, she had endured five hundred years of loneliness, what else was there to be afraid of?!

Thinking of this, Furina's right eye suddenly felt a sharp pain, causing her to scream unexpectedly.

"Ah——!!"

Clutching her eyes and collapsing to the ground, Furina's expression was extremely painful, it was obvious that this was quite painful.

"It hurts, it hurts, it hurts...!!!"

Fortunately, the pain quickly subsided, giving Furina a feeling of surviving a disaster, and she gasped for breath on the ground.

If there was a mirror at this time, it would be discovered that her right eye had become blood red, and there was even a uniquely shaped black pattern rotating within it.
