"Huh?"
On his way back the next night, Ethan passed a small park and heard faint cries for help. Simultaneously, his mana flickered—a strange, familiar sensation rose in his chest.
In the dark woods, a group of thugs was muzzling two women in skimpy clothes. Nearby, a man in a suit lay unconscious, his glasses shattered.
Ethan didn't hide his presence. The women's eyes filled with hope. The thugs looked annoyed.
"I thought it was someone scary. Just another pretty boy," one thug laughed. "Hey, kid, we're busy. Fuck off if you want to live. And leave your wallet."
Ethan stopped, frowning. Despite his slender build, he didn't look like an easy target. It seems the 'Cuckold Template' of this world is still active, Ethan thought. Demon King class isn't enough to fully suppress this 'shitty protagonist' aura. I probably need Divine rank.
Seeing Ethan remain silent, the women's hope turned to despair. The thugs, however, grew more excited. They had already "handled" the husband; now they could deal with this pretty boy. They stared at Ethan, and a voice in their heads seemed to whisper that this boy could offer them far more "fun" than the two women.
"Hey, I'm talking to—"
A thug reached out to grab Ethan's shoulder. The moment his fingers were about to touch, he collapsed instantly, his life snuffed out.
The others froze, their fear quickly turning into mindless rage. "You bastard! What did you do?!"
Ethan was already annoyed by Kiba's gender-bending drama; he had no patience for this. He released a tiny ripple of Demon King-class mana. In a flash, the entire group of thugs disintegrated into ash. A cool night breeze swept away the final traces of their existence.
Ethan wasn't a senseless killer, so he precisely avoided hitting the husband and the two women. Normally, he might have just beaten them up, but seeing a "NTR/Thug" scene playing out in front of him felt like a personal insult to his status as the Alpha.
The two women were stunned, staring at the spot where the thugs had been. Ethan didn't explain. He realized they were ordinary humans and used mental magic to rewrite their memories. Now, they would remember a passerby calling the police, and the police arriving just in time to save them. He then knocked them out to match the husband.
He placed the three of them together and called the police. While waiting, he studied the "unlucky kids." In the dark, his vision was perfect.
Wait... these two women look familiar... Ethan squinted. Are they from 'White Album'? They looked like the heroines, but older—at least in their thirties. The "White Album" drama was apparently still going on into their middle age.
He heard the sound of a police bicycle. Ethan shrugged and vanished into the shadows, making sure the officer found them before he left. He didn't care if they were the "White Album" trio. This world was a mess, and he was used to it.
