Chapter 54 - A Real Man.

Meanwhile, across the grassy field, Chad was dashing around, huffing and puffing.

As he ran, he quickly came to the realization he was completely surrounded by the rushing Bronies!

They were slowly closing in, emerging from every inch of the surrounding forest.

"Fuck… Fuck!" Chad muttered to himself, feeling his heart beat out of his chest.

He was terrified of these Bronies, but pushed his fear back.

He wouldn't let them touch Myusel, no matter how much danger that may put him into.

That's why he ran off from the rest.

He wanted to be used as a distraction so the Bronies wouldn't hurt the others.

This would give them the chance to attack them from behind, from safety.

But Chad quickly realized his mistake.

"There's way too many of them! I drew a few of them away, but I can't deal with this many on my own…! FUCK!" Chad thought to himself, noticing more of the mindless Bronies gather around.

He was preparing to attack a Brony with a quick jab, but stopped when he smelt a hint of its horrible scent, quickly backing up!

"Fuck! I can't do this! They smell like shit! Holy fuck!" Chad yelled as he continued moving back.

He nearly threw up from the horrible stench, his eyes watering up.

His head began to feel light from the scent, with his vision becoming blurry and distorted.

He stumbled backwards, but stopped when he realized another Brony was creeping up from behind, its vile aroma reaching his nose.

"Shit! SHIT! BWAA!!" Chad cried as he threw up, falling over onto the ground.

He crawled over his vomit with his left hand, in an attempt to flee the incoming Bronies. He covered his nose with his right hand, looking around for an opening.

But there was none. He was completely swarmed now, with the Bronies slowly circling around him with soulless expressions.

"No… No! FUCK! It's c-can't be-!"

It was a mistake for him to be there! Why did he come here!?

Why was he stupid enough to think he could make a difference?!

He could've been safe and comfortable at his family's mansion, evacuated, and safe.

But he came to this battlefield with no powers or strength! Why?

To satiate his ego? To make himself think he was better than what he was?

"I'm a fucking idiot! A stupid ass kid, not some fucking hero! FUCK!" Chad held back the tears, gritting his teeth beneath his hand.

But then, as he thought this, he heard a feminine scream from behind.

His fear disappeared as soon as this light cry echoed in his ears.

Across the battlefield, Myusel cried out a powerful, "STAY AWAY!!!" right before shooting a Brony with her magical girl staff!

However, this only caused two more to emerge from the swarm, slowly reaching closer to Milly, Jackie, and Myusel!

They were surrounded now, trapped in a closing circle of Bronies.

The majority of the Bronies were gathering towards them. In fact, only seven or so Bronies surrounded Chad!

He was that low of a priority to them. So weak that only seven mindless Bronies were needed to take him out.

Chad's plan had failed. He barely distracted the Bronies. And now, his allies were at risk!

"Aaaah!! No… NO NO NO! I can't let them touch Myusel…! I can't let them hurt her…! I have to protect her! Save her! SHE'S MY WOMAN!!" Chad yelled as he clenched his fists, gritting his teeth as hard as he could.

He remembered why he came. Despite being weaker than Myusel, despite having no real strength to fight against these insane enemies.

He had to come in order to protect her.

It was stupid and foolish. He was the one who needed protecting, who needed saving.

But he knew it was his role as her boyfriend to be there for her.

And he was not going to let some fat fucking Bronies get in his way!

"NO!!!!! MYUSEL!!!" Chad roared, feeling anger bubbling up within himself.

But this anger was countered as soon as he felt the scent hit his nose again.

The Bronies' fat jiggling guts were looming over him, with their scent melting his skin.

He could feel his flesh burn, his eyes melt, his mind rot, and his brain explode!

But before Chad was consumed by the Bronies' stench, he saw a vision from the corner of his eyes, a moment he'd never forgotten.

He was walking down the street in a local rural town, pissed after another argument with his parents.

An argument that made him realize he wasn't a man to them, but a stupid boy.

He wanted to blow off some steam at his boxing Gym, but stopped when he heard some noises in an alleyway.

There, he saw a woman with short purple hair being harassed by a group of thugs.

They were all muscular as hell, pushing her deeper into the darkness with smiles on their faces.

One dragged a knife across her blouse while another rubbed at her ass beneath her skirt.

At first, Chad thought they'd be great targets to blow off some steam.

But he stopped walking over when he realized there were nearly ten of them in that dark backstreet, armed with knives and possibly hidden firearms.

He'd just call the police and leave it up to them. He was angry, not suicidal.

But, right as he began to turn away from the alleyway, he caught a glimpse of the woman's face.

Her expression wasn't one of fear, but of empty acceptance. It bothered him even more than if she were afraid.

It annoyed him to see her so pathetic. To see her act like him.

"Damnit."

So he stepped into the alleyway, calling out the thugs. They turned to him, dropping the woman onto the ground.

He nearly died fighting them, ending up with multiple stab wounds and broken bones by the end.

He was half-conscious, stumbling around the alleyway while shivering from the pain.

But despite that, he had enough strength to reach the purple-haired woman.

He stood over her with a calm expression, staring down at her beautiful face.

Her empty stare was replaced by a shocked expression as she mumbled, "Why? Why would you protect someone like… Me…?"

Chad coughed out weakly, smiling before he responded with, "Cause… That's w-what a… A r-real man would… Do."
