Chapter 1 - The Relic and the Dual-Class Awakening

Chapter 1: The Relic and the Dual-Class Awakening

Haruto's last memory of his previous life was mundane a spilled cup of coffee, a misstep, and then… darkness.

When he opened his eyes again, he was no longer in his cramped apartment. Instead, he was lying in a forest bathed in golden sunlight, the chirping of birds echoing like music.

"Where… am I?" he muttered, sitting up. His body felt lighter, more responsive, almost like he had been… upgraded.

A soft voice echoed in his mind.

"Welcome, Haruto. You have been chosen."

He froze. The voice was melodic, divine… unmistakably otherworldly. Then, before him, a figure of pure light appeared a goddess, radiant and impossibly beautiful, floating above a stone altar.

"I am Althea," she said. "You will be granted the Sage class, the pinnacle of knowledge and magic. But first… you must awaken your potential."

Haruto blinked. He already felt something strange his body, his mind, everything seemed to pulse with unseen power.

A menu appeared before him, shimmering in the air, as if reality itself had become a game interface:

[CLASS STATUS]

Current Class: Novice Mage (Lv.1)

New Class Available: Sage (Lv.1)

[ACCEPT] [DECLINE]

Haruto didn't hesitate. He pressed [ACCEPT]—even in a life-or-death situation, he couldn't resist a "game system."

Instant Evolution

Suddenly, his vision went white. Knowledge poured into his mind spells, skills, elemental control, martial techniques, divine manipulation, even forbidden arts he didn't know existed.

He instinctively raised his hand, and with a thought, a fireball the size of a small building hovered above his palm.

"Uh… maybe not that big," he muttered, and it shrank to a manageable size.

A status window appeared in his mind:

[HARUTO STATUS]

Level: 1 / Infinity

- All Elemental Magic (Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Light, Dark, Ether)

- Spatial Manipulation

- Reality Perception & Weak Narrative Control

- Curse and Blessing Mastery

- Immortality (Passive)

- Infinite Knowledge Absorption

- Instant Skill Learning

- Adaptive Evolution

- Dual-Class Fusion (Combine skills freely)

[EXP: MAX]

Haruto blinked. "All abilities? All of them?" He raised a hand experimentally. A massive dragon appeared, roaring and bowing slightly.

A casual flick of his finger shattered a nearby rock formation. He didn't even feel tired.

Testing Limits

To test the full scope of his powers, Haruto focused on dual-class fusion. He combined Sage magic with his Novice Mage's raw mana flow. The air around him distorted; leaves froze midair; birds paused mid-flight. Then, with a thought, the forest was bathed in a golden-and-purple light as a dimensional portal opened above him.

"Looks like… I'm overpowered," Haruto muttered with a grin.

A menu popped up again, this time asking about narrative options:

[REALITY MANIPULATION OPTIONS]

- Gain Ally Instantly

- Materialize Any Item

- Understand Hidden Truths

- Avoid Death / Failure

- Rewrite Small Events

He selected all options. Instantly, his mind absorbed the layout of the forest, nearby villages, hidden dungeons, and even enemy monster nests.

Secret Identity

Knowing that being openly this powerful would draw unwanted attention, Haruto shifted his appearance, projecting a weaker, ordinary version of himself. Only he could see his true aura a mix of golden flames, violet lightning, and cosmic patterns swirling around him.

"I'll need a name for this form… let's go with 'The Wandering Sage.' Sounds mysterious enough," he muttered.

From now on, Haruto would walk among mortals, secretly experimenting, recruiting allies, and testing the full extent of his limitless dual-class abilities.

And little did the world know… a god-level being had just been reborn among them.
