Chapter 2 - CALL

Lian yue stood calmly in her room, the realization of what had happened beginning to set in. She had just gone back in time, a few hours before she chose Wei jun.

Just then, a soft knock rang on her door.

"According to my memories, that should be Mei Rong," she muttered.

She jumped into the bed, and composed herself. She made sure her expression was relaxed before she spoke. "Come in, Mei Rong."

The door creaked open slowly, revealing Mei Rong, a young woman with a delicate face, and blonde hair packed neatly in ponytails.

She wore a formal white shirt and black skirt, with a black shoe to pair.

"Good morning, madam Yue," she greeted with a slight bow.

"Good morning, why are you here?" Lian replied with a sharp and cold voice.

She knew why Mei Rong had come, but to avoid suspicion, she still asked.

"Chairman Cheng asked you to get ready for the ceremony, it will be starting in 2 hours," Mei said, composed.

"Thank you, I will be there soon," Yue replied as she stood up from her bed in a fluid, natural manner. Elegance had been ingrained into her very bones since she was little, and now, doing things with perfection came as simple as eating or drinking.

Mei, on the other side, was shocked. She had never heard her boss thank her in her 6 years of working with her.

"Excuse me, I want to get dressed," Yue's voice snapped Mei out of her thoughts.

"Yes ma," she bowed over 10 times, frantically, before rushing out of the room.

As she slammed the door behind her, a soft smile played on Yue's lips.

Pulling her clothes off, she yanked a towel in her wardrobe and walked into the bathroom.

Soon, the soft sound of water clashing against tiles filled the room.

After 20 minutes, Yue finally came out of the bathroom.

She smiled through her clothes, finding the perfect cloth to wear for the occasion.

Her eyes caught a deep crimson dress, the same cloth she wore in her previous life.

"Nah," she said with scorn. "This is better," she brought the silver gown out.

After scrutinizing for a moment, she wore it.

The gown was a perfect fit, tightening on her body, further accentuating her figure.

Its front stopped just above her knee, and the back glowed to the back of her ankle.

She walked to the mirror in one corner of her room, taking in the sight of her body.

White hair, and hazel eyes that seemed to pierce souls.

Her face was like a work of art, without blemish.

Then, she walked out of her room, taking a black purse on the mirror table.
