Chapter 7 - Quirk Apprehension Test 1

However, given some thought, he sighed in a tired tone, thinking to himself, 'Sigh… I really shouldn't expect everything to be the same. Best to be prepared for the worst or crazy outcomes in the future. At least they're the cute ones…'

That was when he noticed Uraraka speaking in a thankful tone to Midoriya waving her hand in getting his attention, "Hey! It's you! I'm happy to see we are in the same class Midoriya! Not that I'm surprised, the way you rushed in to save me was amazing! And thank you very much for rescuing me!"

Hearing this I was amused thinking 'Oh! Looks like he didn't defeat the 0-pointer robot, but instead just saved her like normal.'

Just then Hiro, shifted his attention to the floor outside the classroom's entrance adding in a curious tone, "Besides, it would appear our Sensei has arrived. You guys should probably go to our seats."

"Eh?" Everyone was confused at first but following his gaze, Uraraka turned around to find a man lying on the ground in a sleeping bag.

[Shota Aizawa Lv.53 Pro Hero]

Having heard Hiro's remark, the man in the sleeping bag roused, revealing himself to be a haggard man with long, greasy black hair and half-opened eyes. His hair hung over his stubby, lazy-looking face, but his most prominent features were the distinctive grey bandages around his neck and shoulders and his predominately black clothing.

Suddenly from their homeroom teacher Aizawa spoke in his usual voice gaining their attention, "If you're here to socialize, then get out."

After shedding his sleeping bag like a pupa emerging from its shell, the gangly man revealed himself in a tired tone, "I'm your Homeroom Teacher, Shota Aizawa. And this is the Department of Heroics, not a place for kids to socialize…"

Punctuating his words, Aizawa pulled one of UA High's distinctive training uniforms from his sleeping bag, holding it out to Hiro as he said, "You can get yourselves changed at the Gamma Lockers. After that, head over to Field Gamma. We only have 3 years to transform your sorry lot from incompetent brats to semi-competent Heroes, so don't dawdle."

Smirking in his mind the man turned to the rest of the Class, surprising nearly everyone as he added, "We're going to be conducting a Quirk Apprehension Test so get ready."

[U.A. High School, Boys Changing Room, Japan]

They all agreed and rushed to the locker rooms to change. As I changed Sero looked over to me in amazement pointing out loud, "Guys, you seeing this? He so jacked!"

As the rest of them looked at me, some gasps were heard. Kaminari asked in a curious tone of my body physique, "What sort of insane workout do you get like this?"

I replied in a casual tone, putting my gym pants on and pulling up the rest of the jumpsuit, "Well it's intense workout session that I've been doing for past 3 years. It was to get more efficient and control for my power quirk "

Kirishima, being the manly kid that he is, asked in an optimistic tone, "Just tell us. We can handle anything!"

I sighed, pulling out from my [Inventory], surprising my classmates with a training regime routine in a casual tone, "It's too much to explain. I'll give you the routine later I have it noted down. Now any questions?"

--Shota Aizawa. POV--

[U.A. High School, Field Gamma, Japan]

I look at the children in front of me. They were those whose quirks have the most potential to develop into becoming Pro Heroes, they're the Class 1-A. Though usually there are transfers through the classes there are those who will stay in 1-A Class through the whole 3 years here.

I look at the kids, there are quirks like the one Shoto Todoroki has. With a quirk like that, he will become a Pro Hero, in this world no matter what anyone says people are truly born unequal though they can be somewhat overcome with hard work… up to a certain extent.

Then I look at the others as they come to the field where I hold the Quirk Apprehension Test. As they all come, I look at the one who I think has the best potential amongst all the ones in here.

Hiroto Hoshino. An enigma for some who know his identity and background. He had two Quirks [Permeation] and [Super Power] the first one allows one to pass through any solid objects or bodies the other Quirk gives him a boost in all the attributes of his body, though flashy at first but it holds the most potential under that kids use.

When they are all here, I just tell them in my usual voice maintaining my stoic expression, "Today we will be holding the Quirk Assessment Test. To measure where the limits of your Quirks are."

When one of them hears this, they say in an argument stating the obvious, "But orientation… we are going to miss it."

Sigh… well then, I guess I better teach them some things as a teacher. I just say to them in a stoic tone, "Sigh… If you want to make it to the big leagues you can't waste things on pointless ceremonies. We here at UA are tethered differently and I can run my class as I see fit."

Then I looked at all of them in the eyes and said in a neutral tone gazing at their expressions carefully, "You have been taking standardized tests your whole life… and you have never used your Quirks in them before. The country is still acting like we are all born equal and not letting those with power excel. It's not rational. One day the ministry of education will learn."

Then I turn my eyes towards one of the students and say in a stoic tone, "Katsuki Bakugo you managed to get the most points on the entrance exam. What was the furthest distance softball throw when you were in junior high."

Bakugo seems to think a little before answering, "63 meters… I think."

Good enough. I mentioned to him tossing a softball, "Try doing it with your Quirk."

Bakugo comes forward and goes into the white circle. I tell him that anything goes if he stays within the circle. Then Bakugo just seems to think of something, so I just say to him in a stoic tone, "C'mon just go ahead you are wasting our time."

He just smiles and yelled, "Die." Then blasted the ball using his Explosion Quirk.

*BOOOOOM*

Checking my device for that measurement of how far the ball went I see the number 705.2. So, 705.2 meters is pretty good, then I show it to the other students. They all gasped seeing it, "WOOOOAHHH!!!"

Then I hear the pink girl say in an excited tone, "That looks like fun. I wanna go!"

I also hear someone else say in an excited tone, "Using our Quirks as much as we want. This is what I'm talking about."

These children are taking it as fun, are they? I just looked at them with a cold expression and spoke in a cold tone, "Fun…? Fun, is it? You have 3 years in here to become heroes… you think it's going to be fun and games. Idiots… today, you will compete in 8 physical tests to gauge your potential. Whoever gets the last place has none… and will be expelled immediately."

"WHAT!!"

All the students looked shocked as I looked at them again explaining myself, "As I told you before, I get to choose how I run my class. If there's a problem, you can head home right now."

Then the gravity girl, her name was Ochaco Uraraka if I'm not wrong seemed a little riled up and said, "We just got here… you can't send us home. Even if it wasn't the first day that isn't fair!"

Okay, these little shits are annoying me now. My voice got a little colder as I spoke to her in a harsh tone looking at all of them, "Oh, and you think natural disasters are? Or power-hungry villains? Catastrophic accidents that wipe out whole cities?!! NO! The world is full of unfairness, it's a Hero's choice to try and knock back that unfairness. If you want to be a pro then you will have to push yourself to the limit. For 3 years UA will throw one terrible hardship after another at you."

I then lazily point my finger towards them with an apathetic smirk, I say to them in an aphetic tone, "Your fates are in our hands. Welcome. This is the hero course at UA High School!"
