Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: The Unexpected Visitor

After what happened at school, Itadori Yuji would definitely be forced to transfer into Jujutsu High, and after that, he'd be leaving Sugisawa High for good.

Arashi leaned back in his chair, the moonlight spilling across his pale, steady face as he stared out the window in thought.

"If Itadori Yuji goes to Tokyo Jujutsu High, it's not impossible for me to stay here alone. But if I'm with them, there'll be more opportunities, and we can look out for each other..."

"But right now, there's no way I can join Jujutsu High. First, my background is unclear. Second, where exactly did my cursed energy come from? And third… how am I even supposed to get in?"

Those were all troublesome questions. Once Itadori Yuji went to Tokyo, his chances would basically disappear. Gojo Satoru probably wouldn't come back to Sendai anytime soon, either.

After all, Gojo and Fushiguro's purpose in coming here was to retrieve one of Sukuna's fingers. Now that Yuji had eaten it, there was no reason for them to stay any longer.

"If I'd known this, I shouldn't have come back tonight. Maybe I could've at least met Gojo Satoru," Arashi shook his head, 'Too late now, all I can do is stay in Sendai for a while.'

"Forget it. I'm getting hungry anyway. Might as well make some noodles first," Arashi stretched lazily and got up to cook.

In his previous life, he'd been a food vlogger. And not one of those who just bought food from others to eat on camera, but someone who actually cooked everything himself.

Most so-called "food vloggers" just bought tons of takeout from different restaurants, basically just "mukbang" streamers. That wasn't real food content.

Arashi, however, was genuinely passionate about food. If he could cook it himself, he would. His culinary skills were even better than most restaurant chefs'.

He first soaked the noodles in cold water. While they softened, he chopped green onions and prepared other seasonings.

When the pot of water started to boil, after about five minutes, Arashi lifted the noodles from the cold soak and dropped them into the boiling water.

Everything he did followed a practiced rhythm, and soon, the noodles were almost done.

Just then, Arashi heard footsteps, getting closer and closer.

"There shouldn't be anyone else living in this building… so who could it be?", Arashi stopped what he was doing and turned toward the closed door.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

The knocking sounded. Arashi frowned. Those footsteps just now definitely didn't belong to the landlord. He could tell, whoever was outside was someone else entirely.

Just as Arashi was about to speak, the person outside spoke first.

"Uh, don't be nervous. I'm Gojo Satoru from Jujutsu High. I have something to discuss with you. Mind opening the door so we can talk?"

"Gojo Satoru?"

Arashi froze in place, 'Why would Gojo come looking for him?'

'As far as I remember, we have never even met face to face. So how does Gojo know about me, and how does he know I am here?'

No point overthinking. Gojo was already at his door. Arashi quickly straightened his clothes and opened it.

"Yo, hey there!"

Gojo's tall figure filled the doorway. Clean, sharp clothes, that strikingly stylish aura that only Gojo Satoru could pull off so effortlessly.

"Hello," Arashi replied, trying to keep his tone calm.

Truthfully, this was his first time seeing this world's so-called ceiling of power. If Gojo Satoru wanted to, he could end Arashi instantly.

But Arashi wasn't worried. He wasn't a cursed spirit or object,.Gojo wouldn't exorcise him.

"Ah! Smells nice in here. You cooking something?", Gojo's tall nose twitched as if he'd caught the scent of something delicious.

"Oh, yes. I was just making a late-night snack. If you don't mind, you can—"

"Don't mind, don't mind! Then I'll help myself," Gojo didn't even wait for Arashi to finish. Laughing heartily, he stepped inside.

Arashi wasn't surprised. He'd already expected as much. Aside from being handsome and overwhelmingly powerful, Gojo also had the habit of doing whatever he pleased. Logic and etiquette never really applied to him.

"There are bowls and chopsticks over there. Need me to serve you?", Arashi asked, closing the door and walking over. The man's height made him seem even more imposing up close.

"No need, no need, I've got it," Gojo said casually, picking up a bowl and chopsticks before scooping up the noodles himself. He poured a spoonful of golden-red broth over them, leaned in, and took a deep whiff, "Smells amazing~"

Arashi was hungry too, so he quietly served himself and started eating. He didn't ask why Gojo had come, better to eat first, talk later.

Still, he had a rough guess. After all, it was Gojo Satoru.

"You're Arashi, right? Looks like you live here alone. Then why cook so much?", Gojo asked before eating.

"Yes. There used to be another tenant, but he moved out about half a month ago. Now it's just me. And I usually eat a lot, so this isn't much for me," Arashi slurped his noodles as he spoke.

Gojo listened while taking his first bite, but the moment he tasted Arashi's noodles, he broke into a grin. Forget continuing the conversation, he was too busy wolfing it down with loud, satisfied slurp noises.

In no time, the bowl was empty except for the broth. Gojo tilted the bowl up and drank the rest, letting out a satisfied burp afterward. His face was slightly flushed as he sighed in contentment, "That was so good~"

"Heh!", Arashi chuckled. That was exactly the reaction he'd wanted. Otherwise, his cooking would've gone to waste.

Even the strongest man alive had to bow before good food. That's the unchanging truth, food is supreme.

"I was hesitating before," Gojo said suddenly, setting the bowl and chopsticks down, "But now, there's no question, you're coming with me."

"What?", Arashi blinked, confused.

"Well, with cooking skills like yours, I can't just leave you here. Turning something this simple into something that tastes that good, leaving you in Sendai would be a waste of talent!", Gojo laughed heartily, "Besides, there are a lot of gluttons back there. You'll be perfect for keeping them in line."

Though Gojo's words came out of nowhere, Arashi more or less understood, he was asking him to go back to Tokyo together.

"You tried to stay hidden, but you left behind a distinct cursed energy at the scene," Gojo continued, his tone shifting, "I asked Megumi about it. He said someone had been eaten by a curse before he went upstairs. When I investigated, I detected your trace. Faint, but still there. Your cursed energy isn't the kind that'd die off easily. But… I couldn't figure out why you were there in the first place."

"You've got cursed energy, and it's special. If you could defeat that kind of curse, I believe you're capable enough. But then, why did you leave?"

Gojo's face turned serious again. He wanted Arashi's answer.
