"Kay," I rasp. I want to hear her voice.
Despite the ringing in my ears, I can hear the metal groaning around me.
Everything and nothing hurts all at once. My body keeps going from excruciating pain to numbness in split seconds.
"Kayla," I call again despite it making my lungs burn. I can't fucking breathe with the airbag so tight against my chest.
