{NATHAN}
The dress is beautiful. Suzanna had the huge flower taken off and now it's a simple white silk dress, perfectly fitted to Kayla's
body, with a black silk belt around her waist.
She's standing in front of the mirror in my bedroom, dabbing foundation on her face. I told her to hide her hands, neck, and face tattoos, or people will be wondering what she's doing at Lakeview Restaurant, and as much as I don't care what people think, I don't need any attention on us.
Jerome Wynne needs to sign a nice import deal with me, and we'll be good for the night.
I walk to Kayla, standing behind her as I observe her in the mirror. Ignoring me, she puts more foundation on her face, dabbing and repeating the process again. I had someone come do her nails, and they're painted a beautiful blood red. The same
color as the lipstick she's now grabbing.
I let her finish. I let her ignore me, until she has nothing else to do but to stand there and acknowledge me.
