Chapter 1 - SWITCHED.

CHAPTER ONE.

Jasmine's POV.

'How did I end up here?' I wondered with a racing heartbeat as I stared at the hideous palace with skull designs.

"Welcome, princess. The Lycan King shall come see you in your chambers, soon." A little girl, dressed in a maid's outfit said as she approached me.

"Please come with me." She gestured towards a dark hallway and my heart skipped a beat in fear.

'Oh no! Did she just say Lycan? It couldn't be.' I thought in panic as I turned around and dashed towards the exit, beads of sweat gathering on my forehead.

This had to be a mistake. I wasn't supposed to be here, Tulip was. The maid shouted after me, but I held my gown up and picked up the pace.

I successfully ran out of the palace into the compound, and surprisingly, no guards were present, which was weird for a palace, but it was my luck, so I kept running till I bumped into a hard rock.

I winced in pain, my nose almost cracking when I looked up and saw it wasn't a rock but a huge man. A shiver ran down my spine when he looked down and I saw his glowing, red eyes.

Like that of the devil just like the rumors.

"And where do you think you are going, Tulip?" He questioned as he walked closer to me. I took a step backwards, a huge lump in my throat as my palm grew sweaty.

"I am not Tulip." I wanted to scream but instead, turned around and began running again.

I needed to get out of here as soon as possible; otherwise, I was doomed, the entire realm was doomed.

But before I could take another step, I felt myself being carried and thrown over someone's shoulder. I looked to see it was him and tried screaming when I felt a ping at the back of my neck.

My eyes grew heavy, my vision blurry as I gave in to unconsciousness.

My twin sister and I, Tulip, were both to be sent out to two different, powerful men who were also mortal Enemies. Due to my pure, gentle behavior, I was prophesied by the high priest to get married to the werewolf, Alpha king of Moon's Revengers Pack.

But Tulip, my stubborn and rude twin, was prophesied to be the breeder of the terrifying, feared Lycan Beast of Raven Monster's Pack. Both Dad and I felt sorry for her while her detest for me grew stronger.

Today was the day we both said our goodbyes to home and went on a different pathway. Now, I was finding out that somehow, my carriage had been switched, and I have been brought here to the Lycan Beast instead.

Which meant Tulip was with Alpha King.

'How did that happen?' I pondered as I woke up to find myself in a luxurious room. I glanced around and noticed it was thrice my bedroom, back in the witches' palace.

I sat up and tried reciting a spell to get me out of here, but couldn't feel my powers, and my neck surprisingly felt heavy. I raised my hand to touch it and my lips parted in shock.

A metal chain was wrapped around it. I saw a mirror at the far end of the room and immediately rushed towards it to see that it was Dacra, that was on my neck.

A powerful, heavy Chain that sealed whatever powers whosoever wore it had.

'This was bad.' I thought in panic, trying to pry it off, but it could only be opened with a key, which I was sure the Lycan Beast had.

As I paced around the room, wondering how I could get out of this messy situation, the door burst open and I almost jumped out of my skin.

I turned around to see him. The Lycan Beast. He was exactly like the rumors described. Long, golden hair, bloodshot eyes, and huge, muscular arms that had cracked the skulls of thousands.

He moved closer, towering over me and my legs wobbled as saliva gathered in my mouth.

"You are as beautiful, as they claimed, princess." He complimented me with a smile and instead of feeling relieved, a feeling of dread went through me.

"I wouldn't beat around the bush. You shall begin your duty to me tomorrow." He said, but all his words didn't really register with me. All that echoed in my mind was how intimidating he looked.

I was barely reaching his waist in height so he could easily reach out to wring my neck if I annoyed him. I heard he had anger issues, which was why Tulip was the best fit for him not me.

"I-y-." I tried speaking but could only mutter gibberish as my cheeks burned in embarrassment.

"I expect nothing but perfection even though I already heard how much of a wild goose you are." He chuckled and I gulped, digging my nails into my palm.

I was so Dead.

I had to find a way to make a switch back before this man figured out I was the other twin. Otherwise, he might think Father tricked him, wage a war, or worse, kill me due to his heavy hatred for the Alpha King.

'But how do I reach out to Tulip now? Would she even answer or...?' Then I stiffened as memories of the previous night flooded my head.

Tulip promised to do everything in her power to make sure I ended up on the miserable side instead of her, during our journey, so could she be the one who switched the carriages?

I had no idea when the Lycan Beast left and was thankful, because I could finally breathe in peace.

Just then, he walked back in, and my heart skipped a beat as I watched him hand me a bottle of peanuts.

"Here. I heard it's your favorite." He said, the side of his lips curling up into a smirk. "Eat up."

I wanted to cry. It was Tulip's favorite while I was allergic to peanuts.
